Receptionists very polite and helpful with info about surroundings; comfortable bed; lovely kitchenette; large spacious apartment; great location as colosseum, trevi fountain, the pantheon, spanish steps, bocca de la verita, all in walking distance, view of the pallatine hill. Considering what hotels in Rome have to offer ( small sized rooms, pricey and not so many facilities) Palazzo al Velabro is the best choice without a huge bill at the end. Complimentary watter in the fridge. Lovely decor of the room. Good movies to watch before going to bed. Apartment even had 2 flat tvs. Staff took in consideration my request before arrival. Lovely quiet area. Lovely staff. Check in check out very quick and hassle free.
Cleaning lady didn't do much durring our stay. Made the bed and replaced towels and emptied bins. I couldn't do the dishes in the sink as i had no towel or dish sponge to wash them and she just left them there dirty. Table still had bread crumbs after her visit. She didn't clean the shower and she vacuumed so superficial that i could still see dirt on carpet. Could use with a thicker blanket as it was cold durring the night. The blanket i found in the wardrobe was smelly and not clean. Breakfast was a letdown. Coffee was very good but very little choice. Just some ham and cheese and prune compote. Some boiled eggs and a few croissants, cake, yoghurt and some sad fruits. No fat free option or vegetarian option....no cereals to choose from. No variety. Fruit display should be better and fat free option needed. Do not arrange airport transfer with hotel. I was asked for €55 but it costs you €35 €40 if you take a marked taxi from airport.
The size of the rooms. Free WiFi.
Lack of nearby restaurants. Bed was very hard. Older rooms are very dated. Refurbished rooms are much better.
good size room, friendly staff
shower/bath needs upgrade
Apartment was good size, nice decor in lobby area, breakfast coffee good but food adequate. Interesting place overall and a good choice for staying in Rome with a large style room.
Room was just a little shabby, walls scuffed, tv remote not working. Only small things and easy to fix, so you wonder why they do not? Difficult to get to on the first try, especially with car and guy at reception not overly helpful with instructions on how to navigate the tiny roads to get close enough to unload bags.
I made the booking for my family: mom, dad and two daughters (27 and 23). The apartment was a great idea with an idyllic location. The first day the metro station seemed to be far but once we got used to it, it was fine. We were there for 3 nights. The apartment was really brilliant with a fully equipped kitchen. It was for 5 people but we were only 4 so it was even more spacious!.. Our apartment overlooked the neighbouring garden and the Palatine hills beyond! It was lovely in the early mornings when the little houses would begin to puff off smoke from their chimneys! They even allow short duration international calls.
The apartment is not tidied up or cleaned every day which is a bit annoying.. they only do the bathroom I guess.
The hotel was old and broken. The furniture was dirty and it was a realy discusting فندق فاااشل بكل المقايس!!!!!!!!!
No 4* facilities
Good location, in the old area close to the Colloseum and walking distance to city. Very helpful staff. Spacious serviced room with separate living room and kitchen area and good equipped fitness room.
Excellent location and helpful staff
The room was very uncared for, no pictures on the walls, The shower was in a very small bath, you will spend most of the shower trying to peel off the shower curtain. Absolutely hopeless arrangement. General decor and state of repair was very poor.
Fantastic location, within walking distance of many of the historic sites. Great apartment, for a family and with a lovely view.
The bathroom grouting was a bit moldy and in need of a bit of repairs. The kitchen didn't have a kettle unless specifically requested.
Very outdated. No facities at all. You have to go out for a cup of coffee or a drink.
Not very clean
