Comfortable, clean, a supermarket nearby and secure parking.
We were supposed to be staying in apartments but with no explanation were assigned to mosaico residence a bit further out of centre. We had two apartments which I had requested to be together but one was on the third floor and one on the fourth. There were issues with lack of equipment in both places and also with faulty cooker hob (ignition battery needed replacing) and sink leaking. Also a plastic chair on the balcony collapsed under one of our group. When reported, we were referred back to cleaners for us to sort out with them. If you are booking with this hotel advise checking everything in order as hotel does not seem to have a handle on this.
Just behind the railway station, only 800 m from the city center and the first touristic highlight, a spacious and comfortable appartment in a quiet area. The office (for check in/out) is closeby and all works perfectly.
reasonable sized apartment in quiet location, easy parking on site
the difficulty of finding the check in location which is a nearby hotel. with the one way street systems in Ravenna, it can be difficult to find and if you miss it, difficult to get back to. Better directions would be good
Plenty of space. Grocery stores nearby. Bus stop fairly close. 15 minutes walk from train station.
Not downtown. Kitchen poorly equipped. Hardly decorated beyond basic furnishings.
Location was good, facilities were ok too,
Check in was confusing as its at a different location !!! If the laundry truck driver hasn't been there to guide us we would still be looking
Clean apartment, every day service, location. Friendly and customer oriented staff (especially cleanning lady). Air conditioner. Possibility to use washing machine (after request ;)) Old city center of Ravenna.
Room description on booking.com differs from reality: definitely our room for 4 adults, advertised as 55 sq.meters were much smaller, max 39-40, also instead 2 sofa beds there was only one (it's even not possible to squize a second one ;), photos on site show stove wwith 4 cooking spots, in reality it was only 2 ... so the description should be updated in accordance with real facilities.
The apartment was very appealing. It was clean, spacious and there's a lot of glass so it's very light and it's quite new so things are in good condition. (The heater looked as if it needed repair but not a problem for us as we didn't need heating, it being May.) It might be far too hot in summer though even with the curtains - which would shut out the light, of course. There was a good range of equipment for producing simple meals. The bed was comfortable and the sofa reasonably so too. Staff came in on the second day and changed the towels while we were out and left us an iron (neither of these really necessary but they are anxious to please, clearly.)
The flat has a disabled toilet and it's very high and uncomfortable (in flat 34). Not sure if all the flats were made to be disabled-friendly? Some people might be put off by the location on the wrong side of the railway tracks but there's an underpass when on foot so it's really much closer to the town than it first appears - closer than the hotel. The hotel should alert people to the existence of the underpass as it's along the road from the station and not well signed. We walked the long way round to the hotel when we arrived, lugging all our baggage!
