Situated in the historic heart of beautiful Lecce, this elegantly-converted 16th century building was once the home of a nobleman.

Today, the hotel has become a residence with 8 suite-apartments for 2-4 people.

Close to the centre of Lecce, all of the city’s historic attractions and artworks are within easy reach of the hotel. Lecce’s cathedral, the Roman amphitheatre, the Piazza Santo Oronzo and the baroque Chiesa di Santa Croce (The Church of the Holy Cross) are all within walking distance. Lecce’s shops, bars and restaurants are also just a short walk from the tranquillity of the area surrounding the hotel. Like the hotel itself, a stay at the Residence-Vico Boemondo offers the best of both worlds - 16th century tranquillity with 21st century levels of comfort.

Area information

Chiesa di Santa Croce (0.6 km) - This church has an ornate façade in the baroque style with a large rose window and grotesque figures, animals and vegetables. Work began on the church in 1353 but was halted until 1549 and only finally completed in 1695.

Il Duomo (0.5 km) - Lecce’s cathedral was originally built in 1144, and again in 1230. It was totally restored in the years 1659-70 by Giuseppe Zimbalo, who also designed the 70-metre high bell tower.

The Roman amphitheatre (0.7 km) – built in the 2nd century the amphitheatre was once able to hold more than 25,000 people. It is now half-buried because other important monuments were built above it over the centuries.

The Piazza Santo Oronzo (0.7 km) – Saint Oronzo is Lecce’s patron saint because he cured the plague in the city. There is a statue of Saint Oronzo on top of the column in the Piazza.

The very good position of the appartment, in the heart of Lecce. The kindness and availability of the owners.They kindly satisfied any request of info or service I asked in particular, regarding the typical breakfast. The appartment is very nice and very well equipped. The reality is even better than the pictures on the site. The possibility to park the car in front of the appartment is an asset.

The place itself is very nice. However, one of the bed did not have clean sheets and the heating was not working. Nothing has been done about that even though we pointed that out to the owner.

In a perfect location, the apartment was roomy and had everything we needed. In addition the owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The accommodation itself was wonderful and the location superb.

It was marketed as a B&B but the breakfast was only a couple of packets of biscuits and some coffee to last for the 4 days.

Die Lage ist gut, um die Stadt zu Fuss zu erkunden,aber Zufahrt sehr schwierig und nur unter "Missachtung" der Verkehrsschilder.Negativ:Das Haus machte einen dubiosen Eindruck,es gab kein "Hotel-Schild" mehr,Service vor Ort gab es nicht,ein junger ,freundlicher Mann war aber über Handy erreichbar.

Gebucht:Romantik-Suite! als B&B.Aber breakfast gab es nicht (ausser in einer Bar in der Nähe),und Romantik evtl nach einer x-ten Flasche Wein.In der Küche fanden wir Teebeutel,Zucker ein paar harte Kekse u.ä.,im Bad kein heisses Wasser,wurde am 2.Tg repariert

Ωραίο σπίτι στο πανέμορφο Λέτσε, άνεση στο σπίτι (κανονικό σπίτι), μέσα στην παλιά πόλη και ήσυχα. 2 δωμάτια, κουζινά, βεράντα κτλ.

Πιστεύω πως θα έπρεπε να έχει ένα καλύτερο πρωινό καθώς με ολόκληρη κουζίνα μέσα θα έπρεπε να είναι λίγο καλύτερο. Πάντως το Λέτσε είναι πολύ φθηνό και καλύπτεσαι ποικιλοτρόπως.
