Residenza Cenisio

Kokonaisuus oli hintansa väärtti. Huoneet olivat sopivan kokoisia ja sopivia meidän tarpeisiimme. Oma keittomahdollisuus oli hyvä. Oma wc oli hyvä.

1. Excellent staff – the new Italian manager of their recently-appointed new management, Franco was most helpful. Despite we arrived in the middle of the night on 21 March (at 01:30 already 22 March), and only called the hotel 3 hours before our arrival, realising it would take us much longer to reach our destination – we were assured that they would be waiting for us at the hotel reception. Indeed, Franco and his Polish assistant, Chisseri, both gave us their best possible help ! They even helped us taking ALL of our 15-pieces of large and small luggage into our 2nd-floor apartment ! Thank you Franco, for all of your assistance and help during our stay !!! 2. Facilities – mostly very good. As we travelled with our own steam iron / mini-ironing board for our opera-outing fine clothing at La Scala, as well as our own Chinese rice cooker and soup-making-kettle, etc., we were quite self-sufficient with cooking tools. But we believe the hotel would provide iron and such items, if guests request them. 3. Cleanness – upon our arrival, we felt our entire apartment very clean. But, we quickly realised the hotel would need to provide a vacuum cleaner for guests to self-clean their rooms at times, because currently, their nearby construction sites created lots of sands which stuck on our shoes, making our apartment rather sandy ! 4. Comfort – very very comfortable modern-renovated apartment indeed, and we loved their high-ceiling and their very warm heating system in each room and bathroom ! - except, the sofabed in the sitting room, when opened up, appeared to be not strong enough for even my Chinese petite body weight, and one wooden edge broke immediately ! But Franco and his members so quickly tried to replace it and repaired it for us – thank you ! 5. Value for money – we consider the price of Calvino for being good value, although indeed, it was not cheap here, as we gather in Milan, nowhere is cheap accommodation-wise !

5. As mentioned above, a stronger sofa-bed would be perfect, if more than 2 people staying in the apartment, needing more than one bedroom. Also, would be ideal to provide a kettle for boiling hot drinking water, although indeed, guests could use one of those pots for boiling water as a replacement. On the whole, we really enjoyed our 8-day stay at the Residenza Calvino ! - have they changed their name to Residenza Cenisio after we had left on 29 March ???

Nice and spacious apartment with a kitchen (this was very important for me).

Strange smell in the fridge, some papers left in a wardrobe - nothing terrible, but could be cleaner a bit.

The internet resembles dial-up circa 1990. In fact, it got even slower over the course of our 4 day stay to the point that we could not read an email.

Free parking. Walking distance to the tram station which takes about 30 min to the city centre.

Sheets seem to be less than favorable. The neighborhood appeared to be noisy at weekend night.

I liked the space and size of the apartment. The location was hard to find but once found was very close to public transport.

There were dirty pots in the draw which had a bad smell to them. There was no kettle to make tea or coffee. The washing machine was not working properly and due to lack of english by the staff, was unable to convey this to them. The sofa bed was uncomfortable with a very thin mattress which sunk in the middle.

Badly located.

Having been travelling on holiday staying in hotels it was great to stay in an apartment - a bedroom and a sitting room with a sofa and armchair! The rooms were large and well fitted out, a large bathroom, and a good kitchen. All was very clean and in good conditon. The car park is free and at the hotel, with plenty of room. The area has lots of good reataurants. The tram is about a 5 min walk away and then about 10 mins to the city centre. I would certainly say here again. Even though we only stayed for 2 nights it would be ideal for a longer stay.

Nothing - it was a great place to stay.

It is quite modern inside, even though it looks like an old building from outside. The apartment was generous and we found pretty much everything we needed (including tableware). Also the private parking is perfect as this is a huge problem in Milano. Leave the car there and go by foot or tram to the city center.

Because they were cleaning the apartment just when we arrived, we had to wait 30 mins. Anyhow, we were a bit early as the check in hour is 15:00 ! However, it was a strong smell of chlorine that has disappeared in couple of hours ... but still annoying ! The interior of this building is not what I'd say clean, but this is just part of the italian life :) City center is 3km away, so quite close regarding the size of the city. Just behind the building, there is a railway. Actually it looks more like a train garage, but we could observe slowly passing trains. Not a big discomfort of this, but just don't be surprised.

Absolutely loved our stay at residenza cavino. Was handy to everything and had a real homley feel to the place. We have been travelling for two months so were so pleased wih the facilities. Had washing machine in the room cooking space and more. Highly reccommend to anyone travelling and the price was in fantastic range for miln.

The air condition isn't cool enough.

Service was great! As I cannot find my way to this hotel. I called the hotel and the staff called Valentina was very patient and helpful to guide me with direction. On top of that I Riccardo was very helpful and kind to call the government department and find out about information regarding Area c in Milan althought I have already checked out.

The location! Is near to the city however it is so difficult to find even with gps. Sofa bed was not in a good condition and we have to put the matress on the floor.

There is smell in the rooms is not good. Air conditions are not working good , So the rooms are hot and not comfortable.. Internet is very very very slow..

The room was hot, staff was not polite, towels changed every 3 days, too many insects.

The apartments were in an excellent location, the actual road they are on doesnt seem that great but as soon as you walk down the road you realise its in a central and quiet location. It wasnt far from some decent nightlife some lovely bars in walking distance and only a quick tram ride to the very centre of Milan. Near a few supermarkets and nice restaurants. The staff were really helpful and gave us a map marking on the location of the supermarket metro and tram stops. They provided extra towels and toilet roll on request. Actual apartments were spacious and air conditioned, very clean with excellent facilities.

Only one key provided and no one on reception after 11pm so if you lost your key you were sleeping in the lobby.

Walking distance to the tram stop to go to Duomo, central Milan. New, clean and convenient even for family with young children. Shops and restaurants are also within walking distance. Free WiFi. Very nice and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
