Situated on Lake Maggiore and close to Monte Rosa, the hotel is surrounded by vast expanses of natural beauty and boasts 15 apartments. It is situated in front of the Lake Maggiore.

The ideal combination of lake and mountains, during your stay you can enjoy the various activities that both have to offer. On the lake you can enjoy sailing, windsurfing, swimming, diving, and canoing, amongst others, whilst the mountains offer trekking hiking and skiing opportunities.

Alternatively, you can take the opportunity to relax on the residence’s private beach, fully equipped with sun-beds and umbrellas, as well as the possibility of hiring canoes, pedalos and sailing or motor boats, with which you can reach the Borromee Islands, with their marvellous gardens and picturesque fisherman houses.

Between a dip in the water and sunbathing, you can come up from the private beach for a snack under the shade of the lime trees on the romantic terrace of Hemingway Cafe.

In only 30 minutes you can reach the heart of the Alps: the majestic summit of the Veglia Natural Park, the Natural Reserve of Alpe Devero and the impressive Monte Rosa with its East face, the highest in Europe.

Lake Maggiore is famous throughout the world for the immense parks of the villas of the XVI and XVII centuries. For instance, Villa Taranto, in Verbania: the largest botanic garden in Europe, with thousands of rare plants coming from all over the world, of which a few being unique for the continent. Or the Borromeo building on the Bella Island: splendid example of an Italian-type garden, with ten terraces gradually descending to the lake. And then the zoological park of Villa Pallavicino, in Stresa (secular trees) or the Alpinia Garden of Gignese (alpine flora).

The Oggebbio hinterland offers numerous itineraries for trekking, walking, and mountain-bike riding. These paths permit the discovery of another fascinating aspect of Lake Maggiore. You can find specific guides either at the Residence reception or at the local tourist office.

The National Park of Val Grande (20 minutes from Casa and Vela) is one of the largest and wildest areas in Europe. A mixture of forests and valleys, unaltered since Medieval times; a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the nature of 1000 years ago. In addition to this, from the Residence you can easily reach many other natural parks: the Special Natural Reserve of Fondotoce; the Special Reserves of Sacri Monti of Ghiffa, Orta and Domodossola.

By Car:
From Switzerland:
- Exit the motorway at Bellinzona Sud.
- Follow the road in the direction of Locarno, Ascona, Brissago, Cannobio, Cannero and Oggebbio.
- At the beginning of the village, you will find the Residence, on your right.

From Airport Milan Malpensa:
- Take the A26 motorway in the direction of Gravellona Toce.
- Exit at Verbania.
- Follow directions for Verbania, Ghiffa and Oggebbio.
- At the traffic sign for Oggebbio, continue for 3 km on the main street and you'll find the Residence a your left.
