Nice and absolutely clean appartments on the villa with nice and well maintained garden, very relaxing after the center of Florence. Well equiped kitchen, we have been with a small baby and used the kitchen facilities. We lived on the ground floor with the door on the terrace, this we liked very much. Angela is very helpful and pleasant, booked for us the tickets to the Ufici galery, advised some nice restaurants and cafes near by. The tile floor in the room was extremely cold, no carpets on it, but think that during the summer period it will not be a problem. We were at the end of March. Also keep in mind that the way to the city center could be around 30 minutes if you are with a baby with 2 years who doesn't like too much to seat in a trolley :)

We stayed in a beautiful apartment near the river and would definitely stay again. There are kitchen facilities and dining table for cooking food bought at the food markets which we did and ate as well as restaurants we frequented.

Residence Michelangiolo is the perfect place to stay for any honeymooners in Florence. We had a car and were looking for a place with free parking, easy accessibility to the historic centre, free wifi and a reasonably priced yet nice-looking accommodation: Residence provided all that and more! An old 17th-century villa refurbished into a residence (I.E. they do not serve breakfast!), with parking behind closed gates, and yet it was a leisurely walk into the city along the banks of the Arno river. Angela and Cherubino were more than friendly and gave us great recommendation for restaurants nearby. We had one of our favorite meals during our 2-week Italy trip in Trattoria Gigi near the Residence. Our room was on the ground floor facing the front and a tiny bit noisy, but this is already nitpicking. If you are sensitive to noise, you might want to ask for a room towards the back.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. We had a great time while we were staying there and can recommend this to anyone. Their location is within walking distance from the city center (15mins) and even closer to some very nice dining locations, away from the classical tourist traps! Parking your car at the residence premises is also very handy.

We were late arriving due to heavy traffic but Angela was waiting for us and was very pleasant to speak with after such a long drive. We found out that while she was waiting for us, her family came to the hotel so that they could have dinner together. She took her time and showed us how to get around in the city and offered to book any museums or tours for us. She guessed correctly that it was our honeymoon and immediately upgraded us to a suite! The next day after touring the city we arrived in our room to find some chocolates with a note congratulating us on our wedding and in our refrigerator she left us a bottle of champagne. This hotel is beautiful architectually and the gardens around the hotel add the perfect touch.

Our room had a great little kitchenette, perfect for getting baby food ready for our 7 month old. The hotel has lots of charm and is away from the hoards of other tourists but close enough to walk to everything. We would definitely stay again if we ever make it back to florence. There was a bit of traffic noise in our room- facing the road- but not an issue if we closed the windows at night.

Residence Michelangiolo is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We booked apartment for 4 people; both rooms were spacious, very clean, with two connecting terraces, small kitchenette, two bathrooms. It is very comfortable including all amenities you might need during your trip (great wifi connection!) and beautiful Florentine decor. We simply loved it! The location of the residence was fantastic, very convenient if you're coming by car as we did and plan on traveling around Tuscany. Personally we have enjoyed the fact that we were out of the touristic hub, yet close enough to walk to the city, it is in a very charming neighborhood with many local stores and restaurants around. And lastly Angela was a great host, very helpful and welcoming. Overall it's a wonderful place which makes you feel like at home, great Florentine experience!

The house is lovely, set in nice gardens and is an oasis of calm. The website makes it clear that the residence offers no meals and my room had a built-in kitchenette so i could have prepared things if i'd wanted - but who comes to Florence to cook? It is an easy walk into the centre - taking 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the Ponte Vecchio along the banks of the Arno, for example. Angela is a welcoming host - full of practical advice, fluent English and Italian hospitality. A very calm, relaxing and reassuring place to stay. I could not fault the Residence Michelangiolo and enjoyed my stay very much.

“My husband and I loved this hotel. It was a very nice studio apartment located a few steps away from the Dumo. You really couldn't ask for a better location. And to top it off, the room we stayed in was beautiful. The room was stocked with food and drinks. There was a kitchen area with a dish washer and a clothes washer/dryer. If we ever return to Florence, this is where we would stay” Jacob, Hewitt |
