Residence Michelangiolo

Location is great, in a beautiful villa, surrounded by trees, close to the Old Town (although on the other side of the river, so not in a tourist-crowded area). It was perfect for us since my husband was running the Florence Marathon and the hotel was 5 min from the start point (Piazzale Michelangiolo). Angela and Cherubino are extremely nice and helpful. Restaurants nearby are cosy, reasonably priced and have good food. The room was big, had a nice bathroom with a tub (important when you have a 1-year old) and a fully equipped kitchenette (again, important).

It is a charming and comfortable self-catering residence with fantastically helpful management. Excellent room with simple cooking facilities to make own light breakfast (ingredients provided including good coffee and a hob-top percolator). It is a pleasant 20 minute walk to the city centre and the main tourist attractions, which gives the hotel the advantage of being in a tree-lined and quiet residential area rather than the bustling city centre which suited us very well and was a plus, but it might not suit someone who wanted to be right in the thick of things overnight. Free car parking is available on site.

The room we were assigned was superb - high ceilings and plenty of space (being S. African, we are used to spacious rooms). The room was spotless and the bathroom area was the best appointed by far of all those on our trip. Although it looks far from Florence central on the map, it is in reality pretty close. Cherubino was a great help in arranging an excursion and other bookings (taxi/museums) - essential when you don't speak a word of Italian! This is a great place to stay!

I find fault in most things, but I would have to look very far to find fault here - all in all, a great place to stay (and very reasonable). I was worried about booking on-line, but in hindsight, a great choice.

This small hotel ,which provides a very high standard of room, is superbly located within 2 kms. of the Rialto Bridge and readily accessable to the city by relatively cheap local transport. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant the management highly recommended the nearby cafe and restaurants which provided excellent quality and were very much cheaper than those in the city centre.

Lovely place, enough space in the room and high ceilings, feeling at home, convenient parking, not a crowded place (take into consideration it is not next door to museums, but 25 mins walking), close to the hill with panoramic view to Firenze, close to Fiesole (by car), air conditioning, helpful hotel staff. And you will want to come back.

Fantastic location- not too close to downtown Firenza, but close enough for a short walk. Angela and Cherubino were very helpful with planning activities. The neighborhood was very nice, with very pleasant Trattoria's nearby.

Beautiful residence in only 15 mins walk from the centre of Florence.

The only issue was the noise, its possible to hear most things in the hotel as the doors/walls do not seem to shut out any noise.

Hotel staffs were very helpful. Convenient location (comfortable walks to city centre and Piazza Michelangiolo. We could enjoy the relaxing stay. Also ideal location for those who travels by car.
