The room was charming. It was large and roomy. The staff was very accommodating. The assistant called us when we were late and stayed to wait for us to arrive. He also made a great reservation for dinner. He also carried our bags. In the morning they held our bags until we were ready to leave.
The parking was quite a ways away
Very close to IMT
We had a lovely stay here. The breakfast was delicious, staff friendly and helpful and the rooms comfortable and large. We really couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!
Very helpful staff on arrival and throughout the stay. We were travelling with my daughter and her baby and they sorted out a kettle for us to make bottles and provided a cot. The breakfast was lovely and very traditional. They replenished items as they ran out. Cold meats, cheese, croissants, fruit, cereals, yogurts, bread, pastries, cakes etc.
We are a couple but stayed in the family room with balcony which has the most space and is lovely. Pay the extra, it is worth it. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and the free garage space useful. (Book before going though as 3 spaces)
Large Hotel key to carry around which could double as a small barbell But that's it !
Location excellent and secure parking
Room quite small but ok
Proximity to town center.
Facilities staff not available to help with guest routine needs. Breakfast was very poor, ran out of boiled eggs. Patio not open, would have liked to have an evening with friends on patio.
Lovely staff, so friendly and and welcoming. The room was a sweet slice of Italy, with so much flourish put into decorating, nice down comforters and great shower. The breakfast was fantastic, fresh made cappuccinos, a fantastic spread of cakes, meats, cheeses, cereals. What a lovely surprise and good value for the money.
Friendly staff, especially on arrival; Jessica treated us very well and made in easy. Covered parking for free, which is basically unheard of in Europe. Breakfast was above average. Beds were very comfortable. Location optimal, only a couple minute walk to the main part of Lucca. I would stay here again in a nanosecond.
very close to the city, located inside the walls so all you have to do to get to the center of the city is just go out of the hotel... nice owner room was nice and clean private parking, owner was very flexible with the parking hours on our check out time.
wifi didnt work well very small place, two floors with about 4 rooms and no elevator, but it was nice though.
Room had a smell of mildew. Road outside very busy.
proximity to town secure parking for car
stairs up to room with heavy bags minimal attendance during day so be careful what time one checks in
Nice B&B conveniently located in Lucca - inside the walls. Rooms are nice and clean, breakfast is very complete. Possibility of free car parking nearby is a plus!
Location and staff were great. Good value for money
The location close to the city center is perfect and the - easy accessible - possibility to park the car at the site is great as well. Our room was very big and had a great ceiling. Our 2 year old daughter loved the challenge of the big step into the bathroom.
The staircase to the rooms is a bit narrow, but well that's the charm of a building in the old city!
We spent four days in Lucca and stayed at the Antica Residenza Santa Chiara. We arrived in Lucca at the train station and had previously emailed the hotel for directions. It was easy to reach the hotel, but since we had our wheeled luggage, it was about a 30 minute walk . The hotel staff were all friendly, helpful, and polite. Do note that the reception area closes at 7:30 pm or so, so you will also receive a key to the side entrance for after hours entering or exiting. There were no elevators and we had Room #3 which was on the very top floor. The stairs were fine since our bags were fairly light. The door locks are rather noisy due to the lack of carpeting, but our room was very quiet and there was no neighbor noise. The room was quite large with a large dresser, TV table, safe, strong AC, and a small mini frig. The bathroom is also good sized. The breakfast was great! You enter from the side of the buidling/side entrance and it is served from 8:30 - 10:00 am. Hams, cheese, croissants, a vareity of breakfast rolls and cakes, cereal, 3 or 4 different types of granola, yogurt, breads, variety of toppings for the bread (jam, Nutella etc), fresh fruit, and hard boiled eggs. Very good and very filling.
We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay in Lucca (within the walls). After reading the descriptions of the hotel on the Booking.com site, (and after seeing the pictures) we were not prepared for the extremely small and very uncomfortable room that we found ourselves in. The TV didn't work - and it wasn't possible to regulate the air-conditioner. The narrow stairs up to the room were difficult to manoeuvre.
Situation easy to drive to , great garage for 3 small cars, near an open air cinema so good if you want that but noisy if not. You may be Up 3 flights of narrow stairs so take small bags, we were helped by lady on reception thank goodness.
The room was nice and big and well furnished. Very good location and free parking. Average breakfast
We got locked out of our room one night and had to get a ladder to crawl into the bedroom window from the street. No contact person or number. Nothing was done to rectify the situation the next day. No lift and tiny stairs. no assistance with our baggage
