Located in the heart of Palermo, just a few steps from the magnificent cathedral and the famous Via Maqueda, this hotel was once the noble 18th century Palazzo Tarallo.
Score from 866 reviews Very good
Artemisia Palace Hotel is an early 20th-century building close to the Politeama Theatre. Palermo historic centre is 15 minutes' walk away and you will be close to the harbour.

We had a very enjoyable stay here in Palermo. The room was very large with good facilities in a good central location. Breakfast was very good and the staff helpful and friendly.
Everything apart from the traffic noise at night
The traffic noise at night. I cannot sleep with air conditioning on, but opening the window for fresh air meant that you had to endure traffic noise from the nearby Via Roma.
location, space, and price
the staff was great. very helpful. the rooms were great.
Very big room.
No quilt provided.
Loved everything about the Hotel.
Very nice hotel and well located right in the heart of Palermo. The room was big, spacious and clean
Location, location, location Good size room Good breakfast selection
A little noisy at night (dogs, restaurants, etc) All the kitchen apparatus locked up so unavailable Breakfast room too small, so had to get up early to make sure got a table
Very nice hotel with kind and helpful staff that speak English.Central location, close to all the mayor attractions.Would recommend to anyone visiting Palermo.
Well equipped large comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good location, good prIse. I would rewcommend it.
I can not mention anything
Excellent location, comfortable, spacious and very clean, nice bathroom, staff friendly and helpful
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is very good.
Tiny room for breakfast, you should stand in line waiting for other guests finishing their meal in order to have a seat. Tiny balconies. No signs "do not disturb".
Little early checkout
This is NOT a hotel. And NO WAY a 4 star hotel. With a manned reception for less than 8 hours per day this 'hotel' wouldn't even qualify for 2 stars. Unfriendly staff, no towels, empty mini-bar, etc.
Clean, big rooms, central location, hospitable staff, elevator, helpful info for visiting the city landmarks.
Breakfast is between 7:30-9:30 and main food was not changed during 6 mornings and became dull. The reception closes at 14:00, they will come at any hour to receive you, but otherwise you will have to carry the key with you to enter the building and the room. The kitchenette of the suite had the cabinets with dishes locked up.
The hotel itself is very well maintained. It is spotless and breakfast was good. Room was large.
Fearful that in event of fire, there was no fire escape. we were on the 4th floor and our windows were covered with metal shutters which would not open wide enough to anyone to escape. Poor views from any angle of the building
The owner and staff truly go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect! First Class place! Very clean and great location! We loved this place! One of the best places I have ever stayed at! Amazing value as well. THIS is the place to stay in Palermo!
Place close to city center, parking in front of the hotel (unfortunately only if you are lucky, not secured), calm place, big beautiful room
A/C after night stinky, breakfast without eggs and bacon :)
Room is spacious, convenient location, breakfast was good, friendly staff
Breakfast room very small with no enough space for all guests, breakfast contained no warm dishes (common in Italy), breakfast ending very early (9.30 including weekends)
Breakfast, cleanliness, location
Reception is open only few hours per day.
It is more Bed&Breakfast than a hotel. The location is very good. In the vicinity of bus stops, main street and restaurants. Suites are huge, have big living room (with sofas, table, chairs), kitchenette and a bedroom. Double bed is huge and comfortable. Wifi connection is very good. Apart from a few disadvantages, I would recommend the hotel to other travellers as it is relatively cheap.
Staff wasn't very nice, at times even rude. One receptionist didn't speak English well which led to some misunderstandings. The breakfast was poor, not varied. There were few options to choose from. The bathroom was tiny, didn't look very appealing. It needs some renovation. There was no "Don't disturb" sign. Cleaning ladies were knocking the door and entering the room. The reception desk is open till 2:00 pm. There's no one in the building afterwards.
My best friend and I spent three nights in the center of Palermo, and choosing to stay at Residenza d'Aragona was one of the best decisions we made! We were just minutes from window shopping, Teatro Massimo and Politeama, wine shops, quant restaurants, public transportation and so much more during our stay! The hotel texted me the day before my arrival to remind me of their short check-in hours and requesting to know my approximate arrival time in case they would be out. As soon as we entered the hotel the welcoming atmosphere washed over us. The inviting furnishings, the warm kindness of both women working at the reception, and the ease of procedures came as a pleasant surprise after stumbling through public bus lines all morning. Our room faced a quiet street but still had a pleasant city view, we had plenty of living and closet space, wonderful showers, and two beautiful balconies that were almost always open to let in the Sicilian sunshine. I couldn't be more pleased with both the facility and most importantly the service at Residenza d'Aragona. The staff was so friendly and even surprised us with a breakfast tray the night before our very early morning departure. Having been my first trip where I was without my family and solely responsible, I could not have found a better place to rest after long days of exploring with friends. Thank you so much Residenza d'Aragona!! See you soon!
Staff was friendly and very helpful.
We arrived tired after a flight delay and were welcomed by the owner with cool drinks and personal attention. Our room was more like a suite, with a living room and dining area, and was well furnished, with shutters to keep out the heat as well as aircon. The location was good, on a quiet side street with a variety of restaurants and food stores nearby. We used it as a base for walking all over the city, from the medieval palace to the old port; it was also near bus routes. Desk staff helped us with our car hire.
Layout of the rooms meant we heard noise from our neighbour's bathroom.
