Residenza D'Epoca San Jacopo

The position was terrific. The woman who ran it was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. A simple breakfast was included.

The toilet stopped working. Paint on the toilet seat was peeling off. The water wasn't very hot. There was no bathmat. I had to duck a beam in the toilet ceiling (I'm 5ft 7in). They don't take credit cards.

Location was great and stefania who ran the place was amazing.bii

Booking.com didn't make it clear that we had a shared bathroom and we were surprised to find that the only staff member didn't speak a word of English. We made it work but it was a surprise!

Old Building, lots of atmosphere, close to centre, close to beautiful and quiet piazza for relaxing.

The room is very large with nice breakfast.

The lady don't speak English! Please look at the time for check in and if you want to leave your baggage there, it is very expensive!

Be careful as they always overbook. If you are unlucky like us, you can end up staying in the kitchen (yes a kitchen with a double bed) despite having booked 2 months in advance. The lady in charge is a compleate liar. Also she will tell you to pay upfront in cash before taking you to your room: a smelly and dirty kitchen. The worst treatment and place I have ever been. You are advised!

The windows should be better prepared for winter time.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, even though not all spoke English. The rooms were lovely, as was the continental-style breakfast.

Leaving luggage for your last day could be a bit of a problem - we were expected to pay extra for that (we decided to just leave our suitcases at the train station for the day).

The location is perfect right in the centre of Firenze. The breakfast was delicious. Despite a language difference our host was very lovely and friendly. Great value for money. Cool looking room.

Couldn't connect to the wifi even though entered username and password. Couldn't communicate very well with the host as she spoke no English and we spoke no Italian! Our room was on the street side and you could hear every noise on the busy street if you are a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend it. However we did stay over New Years so it was particularly noisy! The double bed is actually two singles put together which wasn't the best.

i liked totally everything! the great location, awesome room, huge bathroom with jacuzzi! ectually, this one was the best hotel i lived in italy!

The owner was very rude, she start to yell with my parents just because we used the coffee machine. If I get back to Florence I won't stay here again.

The people that receive was were amazing. Very friendly, the place is near Vecchio Bridge, has excellent conditions in terms of price/quality.

Breakfat could be better, with more traditional products.

Our hostess (Steffania) was lovely and put on the most amazing breakfast! She was more than happy to help us out where she could despite us not knowing much Italian and her knowing little English. The location is right near the Ponte Vecchio so is perfect for people wanting to stay central to the city.

Important check in note for future travellers: When you get to the address there are a number of apartments with their own door bell buzzers. Residenza D'Epoca SJ is not labelled under this name so please note that it is the top left buzzer (it does have San Jacopo in the name). We couldn't work out how to get in until we started trying different buzzers - the two phone numbers on the website did not work and we never received a reply to our email (the host later told us that she doesn't use email!) Don't let this put you off - knowing the correct buzzer avoids any probs and it's a great place to stay once you're in :)

The hotel staff is very low qualifications. Absolutely not know English. She tried to fool us by offering double room triple the price, which we booked.

our room was on the top floor, very hot that week +/- 35 degrees, the airco was not working, and i did not see anybody during the 3 days of stay!

La ubicaciòn es excelente, la atenciòn del personal tambien. Habitaciòn amplia y còmoda. Muy buena higiene.

Cuesta ubicarlo , no està claramente señalizado. Hay que prestar atenciòn porque se puede pasar por la puerta sin darse cuenta que es la entrada del hotel (parece una casa más). Hay problemas de estacionamiento pero eso se debe a que està muy bien ubicado en el casco històrico a 1 cuadra del puente vechio.

Vicinanza al centro storico

Colazione carente, servizi carenti: doccia non funzionante, water con continua discesa di acqua, lampadina di ingresso camera fulminata. Non si è potuto pagare con carta credito per attrezzatura fuori uso da tempo.

1) L'énorme point noir de cette maison d'hôte est sans nul doute : la patronne ! Nous sommes arrivés avec une réservation pour 3 personnes ( sans distinction d'âge, donc 3 personnes adultes) et nous en avions en tout pour 118e pour 2 nuits. Les choses ont commencé à mal tourner lorsque la femme qui nous a accueillit nous a demandé 15 euros en plus par nuit, sous pretexte que notre enfant avait dépassé l'âge limite ( il a 9 ans ) . Donc je me pose cette question : depuis quand les enfants sont taxés et paient plus chers que les adultes ??? C'est un vrai scandale ! Du coup nous avons dit ne pas vouloir payer ce prix sans raison et avions décidé de partir ... Et là, quel étonnement, la patronne nous dit : " c est bon, vous pouvez rester, je vous laisse le prix initial " En plus elle est nous demande l'argent en se frottant les doigts, se qui me semble, être un manque de correction inacceptable ... Elle faisait même peur à l'enfant qui nous accompagnait ... Enfin pour terminer, nous avions un train à 19h pour Pise et elle n'a bien voulu garder nos bagages que jusqu'à 14h . Donc nous avons du partir de Florence plus tôt. Je sais bien que nus payons la chambre jusqu'à 10h, mais tous les autres auberges ou bnb ont bien voulu garder nos bagages très tard pour nous rendre service ( nous avons fait un tour de la Toscane ). 2) Je trouve cela vraiment LIMITE de bloquer l'eau froide de la salle de bain, juste pour que les clients consomment la petite bouteille d'eau proposée à 1E50 ! 3) La patronne ne comprend soit disant ni l'anglais ni le français ... mouais ... alors pourquoi comprenait elle très bien ce que d'autres touristes français lui disaient ? et pourquoi dit-elle "qui c'est" à l'interphone ? Donc établissement et surtout patronne à fuir : mieux vaut payer un peu plus cher et avoir un accueil chaleureux , et non interressé !

1）女主人是种族主义者，小心！（The owner of the hotel is a totally RACIST !!!Very rude!!Stare us everytime we show up in the public place and with some DIRTY words in the mouth behind us!!!When we have breakfast, the old lady didn't allow me and my friend to sit with other European tourists on the main table!!!Because we are not WHITE??!!) 2)一点英语也不会！只知道money和cash！（the old lady can't speak even tiny English!!The only English words she know are MONEY and CASH!!) 3)我遇过的最差的服务！！（The WORST hotel I have ever lived!!!) 强烈不推荐！！！ Highly NOT recommend!!!!

La dona que ens ha atès en tot moment. Un encant. L'amplitut de les habitacions I la neteja.

早餐。位置。房间都很好。

服务员只有一个，且不懂英语。产生了误会，我们只喝了一瓶酒店的矿泉水，但服务员坚持我们喝了两瓶。 无线在我们房间根本收不到。

1) чистота в номере. 2) 2 минуты от понте веккио 3) есть рускоговорящая девушка, которая помогла найти отель поздним вечером.

1) в номере очень холодно (брали одеяло с другой кровати) и шумно (ни одна проезжающая машина не осталась незамеченной). 2) очень скудный завтрак. за завтраком мало места и если одновременно выходит народ из нескольких номеров, кому-то приходится ждать в сторонке. 3) за проживание взяли деньги вперед, причем карты не принимали и пришлось платить дефицитной наличкой. 4) очень странная женщина (наверное хозяйка) за завтраком буквально следила за каждым движением и смотрела в рот, чем сильно напрягала. не подпускала к кофемашине, даже чай надо было просить, а не наливать самому. думали, что дело в нас, однако после заметили, что к остальным "внимания" ни чуть не меньше 5) завтрак анонсирован с 8 до 10, однако, когда распланировав день отъезда буквально по минутам пришли на завтрак к 8, та же странная женщина сказала, что завтрак будет в 8-30, хотя все уже было выложено на стол. показав ей её же расписание (где завтрак с 8) она сказала что-то непонятное на итальянском (по английски не говорила вообще). ни улыбнулась, ни извинилась. в результате ушли без завтрака. 6) слишком ранний выезд (10-30). 7) в ванной не работало джакузи (хотя это не принципиальный момент), был слабый напор воды в душе. мыться было очень холодно.
