Location.

Owner spoke no English, cash payment was due at check-in (no cards), hostel more than hotel.

The position was terrific. The woman who ran it was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. A simple breakfast was included.

The toilet stopped working. Paint on the toilet seat was peeling off. The water wasn't very hot. There was no bathmat. I had to duck a beam in the toilet ceiling (I'm 5ft 7in). They don't take credit cards.

Booking.com didn't make it clear that we had a shared bathroom and we were surprised to find that the only staff member didn't speak a word of English. We made it work but it was a surprise!

Old Building, lots of atmosphere, close to centre, close to beautiful and quiet piazza for relaxing.

The room is very large with nice breakfast.

The lady don't speak English! Please look at the time for check in and if you want to leave your baggage there, it is very expensive!

Be careful as they always overbook. If you are unlucky like us, you can end up staying in the kitchen (yes a kitchen with a double bed) despite having booked 2 months in advance. The lady in charge is a compleate liar. Also she will tell you to pay upfront in cash before taking you to your room: a smelly and dirty kitchen. The worst treatment and place I have ever been. You are advised!

The windows should be better prepared for winter time.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, even though not all spoke English. The rooms were lovely, as was the continental-style breakfast.

Leaving luggage for your last day could be a bit of a problem - we were expected to pay extra for that (we decided to just leave our suitcases at the train station for the day).

The location is perfect right in the centre of Firenze. The breakfast was delicious. Despite a language difference our host was very lovely and friendly. Great value for money. Cool looking room.

Couldn't connect to the wifi even though entered username and password. Couldn't communicate very well with the host as she spoke no English and we spoke no Italian! Our room was on the street side and you could hear every noise on the busy street if you are a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend it. However we did stay over New Years so it was particularly noisy! The double bed is actually two singles put together which wasn't the best.

i liked totally everything! the great location, awesome room, huge bathroom with jacuzzi! ectually, this one was the best hotel i lived in italy!

The owner was very rude, she start to yell with my parents just because we used the coffee machine. If I get back to Florence I won't stay here again.

The people that receive was were amazing. Very friendly, the place is near Vecchio Bridge, has excellent conditions in terms of price/quality.

Breakfat could be better, with more traditional products.

Our hostess (Steffania) was lovely and put on the most amazing breakfast! She was more than happy to help us out where she could despite us not knowing much Italian and her knowing little English. The location is right near the Ponte Vecchio so is perfect for people wanting to stay central to the city.

Important check in note for future travellers: When you get to the address there are a number of apartments with their own door bell buzzers. Residenza D'Epoca SJ is not labelled under this name so please note that it is the top left buzzer (it does have San Jacopo in the name). We couldn't work out how to get in until we started trying different buzzers - the two phone numbers on the website did not work and we never received a reply to our email (the host later told us that she doesn't use email!) Don't let this put you off - knowing the correct buzzer avoids any probs and it's a great place to stay once you're in :)

The hotel staff is very low qualifications. Absolutely not know English. She tried to fool us by offering double room triple the price, which we booked.

our room was on the top floor, very hot that week +/- 35 degrees, the airco was not working, and i did not see anybody during the 3 days of stay!

Es más bien una casa rural dentro de la ciudad que un hotel. Ocupa dos pisos (3º y 4º) de un edificio de viviendas. Cuando llegas (y lo encuentras, lo que no es del todo fácil), te dan la habitación y las llaves para que entres y salgas cuando quieras. La habitación muy amplia y acogedora. Baño amplísimo. Situación céntrica, a pocos minutos de los lugares más interesantes de la ciudad.

Pese a la ubicación ser buena por estar cerca de todo, esto hace que sea muy muy ruidoso. Además no está bien identificado. Aconsejo a los que vayan que envíen un correo al "hotel" indicando su hora prevista de llegada, pues no sería raro que no hubiese nadie. Otros detalles negativos son que los los dueños sólo hablan italiano (nada de español ni inglés), habitación sin televisión, enchufes que no funcionan, wi-fi sólo a ratos y en algunas partes de la habitación, desayuno sólo regular.

Construccion antigua muy estilo a florencia.

Muy ruidoso, ventana mala, lleno de mosquitos (nos picaron). Hablan solo en italiano.

cominciamo dalla mancanza del pos. proseguiamo con il bagno esterno e concludiamo con un wifi pessimo.

更像是家庭旅店，旅店是一对老夫妻在经营，有耐心，服务周到。

各方面都不错， 就是到达旅店后，店主人给安排的房间和在网上预定的房间照片不一样。
