The staff were awesome, extremely helpful and accommodating that not only contributed to our needs but given us the confidence in the service they provided for us. Without any hesitation, we came back to stay with the residence again after our Venice trip. This residence not only sits in the best location of Old Florence but more importantly, as a traveller, I admitted that my family and I felt very safe in the residence and much appreciated to helpfulness and excellent service from the staff at the Residence. Thank you Claudia, Luca and Aless for your continuous caring and assistance. They have been one of the key contributing factors for our enjoyable stay and time spent in Florence.
We loved the location, the atmosphere and the very comfortable space of our apartment. Would also like to mention the very hospitable and helpful staff who not only helped us locate an English speaking doctor, but also organised an appointment for us. We would definitely return the Residenza D'Época and recommend it.
Bathroom a bit old but perfectly functional and very clean.
Great Location and Breakfast. Room felt like an apartment with a kitchenette. Perfect for exploring the sites and sounds of Florence.
Location was excellent and we could walk to all the major tourist attractions. Lovely building and friendly staff.
We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and because the location is right in the city it was very noisy on the Saturday night so did not sleep well. We slept ok on the Sunday though.
Location, size of the room, very quiet and great staff.
Perfect location, no more than ten minutes from any of the major attractions and a good choice of restaurants nearby. Clean, comfortable, well equipped room in beautiful building, and friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for more.
Only two very minor points: - the hanging rail in the wardrobe was really high, anyone shorter than me (5'7") would have difficulty using it - the room was slightly congested. The hidden kitchen (in the wardrobe) was great, but we had to move the table or chairs in order to access it. However I'd definitely stay again.
Historic residence converted into hotel provides perfect location and nostalgic feel of old Florence. Claudia was our greeter inside the large doors of the old building. She was vivacious and excellent in service. She made everyone feel comfortable and her attitude was contagious. I recommend this to anyone looking to see Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Could be hard to find if you do not plan ahead. Print maps before you go. Once you are there everything is in walking distance though.
location, cafe along the road for breakfast, good sized room.
our room on first floor was very noisy, with traffic noise ear plugs wear provided(a bad sign)needs soundproof D.G.
fantastic location, close to all the sights but away from the crowds in a charming street. Staff very helpful & responsive to queries.
can be noisy at night but not a big problem
Loved the spacious room and great location
A little bit noisy in the night
Could not have even happier with our stay here. The included breakfast at the local cafe was great, too. And as mentioned above, location was perfect -- close to everything, but very quiet. Easy walk to Piazalle Michelangelo, 2 min walk to Ponte Vechio. Bathroom was clean. Bed was large and comfortable. AC worked great.
Very near to all you would like to see in Florence, just walking distance to the major sightseeing points
A detailed description of how to get to the Residenza is an absolut must have.
A great place to stay as it was so close to everything that you would want to see. We were very well looked after and Claudia, in particular, went out of her way to give us lots of tips about where to go that were off the beaten track and great recommendations for eating out. I would go back tomorrow!.
The helpful staff, central location. The rooms are also very well furnished and you even get a small mini kitchen. The whole residence has a high specification and if we are ever back in Florence this would be the first choice for us. Breakfast was in a small coffee shop just along the road from the residence and the service was fast and friendly. We stayed in another hotel for a night and paid considerably more for a lesser experiance
Nothing it is a really good place to stay.
Staff were friendly. Wifi was good.
No frills. No tea or coffee in the room. Too many doors to go through. Had to take our own garbage out. Breakfast included but it was minimal.
the room is very beautiful and big. The staff are so nice and the breakfast is good as well. The location is good and very quite.
Conveniently located across the Arno River yet easily accessible to the city center and attractions without the noise and the crowd. Well appointed property. Superb services. Thanks, Claudia!
We were so impressed with Residenza D'Epoca, the staff were absolutely amazing - so so friendly and full of advice, they were always on the ball and made us feel very welcome! We were pleasantly surprised to find a little kitchenette in the room which was never even mentioned - a special touch that made our stay all the more comfortable (especially having a toddler with us). Everything was fantastic and we will look to stay nowhere else when back in Firenze!
Every thing was perfeckt, specially the hosts where doing great job
Everything was very very good! Terrasse with a view - fantastic!
Great location. Out of the busy section but close. Cool local vibe.
The place was beautiful with old world charm. The staff was amazing in every way -- informative and helpful, even giving a bit of history of Florence even though we came in incredibly late because of delays. And they printed out our boarding passes. Really wonderful. The place was more than our expectations. The breakfast at a nearby restaurant was very good also. We ended up buying sandwiches at that same small cafe to go for lunch everyday.
The showers have very temperamental hot and cold temperatures which my children had difficulty managing. You had to either take a one minute shower (literally) or do what you could for a minute and then put it all the way to the hottest notch when the water turned cold and wait until the water got hot again, and turn it to the middle quickly. A bit tricky. But the place and location and staff made the tricky shower worth it.
Loved the location and the historical building.
Wifi was not even offer to us when we checked in and when we asked it didn't work. The tv didn't work either. Breakfast is at a cafe which didn't have many options.
The room was so charming as was the whole residence. The location was perfect. The staff took extra special care to provide lactose and gluten free breakfast options for my husband.
The tub was very difficult to stand in. With the shower nozzle located on the side of the tub instead of the end you had to stand angled. The tub bottom is a bit rounded so you had to stand very carefully.
Staff were brilliant and nothing too much trouble. Location was good as you could walk to all the major attractions.
Breakfast was at local Cafe who while friendly did not provide a full breakfast menu. Noise in streets.
