The rooms were really nice, worth the extra hassel to find. The Location was very good, just steps from Sait Marcs square and very near shopping. The accomodations were difficult to find and the building was not identified at all. The site would do well to direct travelers to their sister hotel less than a block away and add a sign to the entrance of the building. The sister hotel gave good instructions, but it helped that we found a worker in the alley/street who lead us to the unit. There is very little in the way of guest services, so an educated traveler will do fine, but if your needy and must have a concierge to find gellato you'll be disappointed. Those individuals who completed the booking were very pleasent. There is no wifi, no maps available for guests, and no sign above the door to identify it as the hotel |

When we arrived we were about 5 hours early for check in. This wasn't a problem, they allowed us to store our luggage and go exploring before coming back to pick up the room key. The room was massive compared to the other hotel room we stayed in in the same area, the staff were friendly and the location excellent. The room was clean and tidy and althogu there is no wifi in the hotel, if you go to the Best Western (about 2 minutes away) you can use their wifi for 2 euros for 24 hours! The only comment I can make is that the fridge is in a cupboard so it overheated and therefore wasn't that cold. More of a comment than a complaint though!!!! |

There was no hassle checking in to the hotel despite having to go to Hotel Alma. The room was tidy and clean and a good size. The bathroom was excellent with plenty of towels which were replaced daily which was good and a very good shower. It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Better signage to locate the hotel would make it easier to find. We had to rely on the directions from Trip Advisor. |

Ideal location, nice room. Also - we were allowed to check-in before the usual time, which was extremely handy. It is not more difficult to find than any address in Venice - from San Marco take Calle Larga 22 Marzo and follow it until you see a Bvlgari shop on your left. The small street just before it is what you want. We were on the fourth floor and there is no lift. Was not a problem for us, but might be for some people. And we lived some extremely unpleasant moments when one evening we came to the hotel and our magnetic key did not work. It was past 6 p.m. and there was no one to contact for help. The key worked only after 20 minutes of desperate trying. I would still reccommend the hotel , but make sure you have the necessary contact numbers for situations like that. |

Residenza Favaro is both well located (being only a few minutes walk from Saint Marco Square) and also well priced. The down side for us was the absence of management staff present at the hotel to assist or offer advice when needed. |

It was clean, comfortable, central and the staff were helpful and polite. For a couple looking to see more of Venice than the inside of a hotel room it was ideal; we could start the day off with a coffee standing at the cafe bar on the corner before heading off for breakfast among the canals and laneways. If we needed to take a ferry it was only a short walk to the Grand Canal or we could reach St Marks Square in about 5 minutes. The room was small but comfortable and contained a bar fridge and a TV. The bathroom was modern with a surprisingly good shower. We would very happily stay at he Favero again. |

Although basic, this hotel had all we needed for a 4 day stay. Modern well equipped shower room, with bidet and shower with wonderful pressure. Comfy bed, air con and tele (not used). Easy access to vaparetto and tourist areas. I booked this hotel on the recommendation of previous comments on booking.com and was not disappointed. Pity no kettle - we took our own. Otherwise no negatives |

Excelent location, hotel recently renovated, clean rooms, without carpets, affordable price. To find the hotel within the labyrinth of Venetian alleys, it would be better to call attention to the number of it, since the houses` numbers are in sequential order while the alleys` names are ignored by local population (?) and not easy to find. |

Fantastic location, very clean. Lovely big fluffy towels. Staff very friendly. Excellent value for money. It was lovely to be able to go back to the air conditioned room frequently between sight seeing visits as Venice was very hot during our stay. Pleased we took travel kettle and plastic cups etc. as there were none in the room. Breakfast not provided as these are just rooms, main hotel is round the corner. Croissants available locally. Difficult to find- pleased we took directions from a previous traveler. If you arrive by vaperetto from the airport, alight at St Marks and walk left along the 'front', over bridge, turn right at Harry's Bar and go up C.Vallaressa. Turn left at the top, go past the church and over a bridge. The Hotel is situated on the left, down a small alleyway, between Blumarine and Bvlgari. The street is full of high end shops! It only takes a few minutes from St Marks, and is easy when you know how! |

The room was very nice even for its size. It was in the center of the city. Perfect location! The reception was in another hotel quite far. With the bag across the bridges it's not very nice. The personal of the hotel were not speaking well english and they didn't understand all of our questions. |

Very close to Piazza San Marco, main entretainment area of Venice. Cleanliness of room. No reception in the building, double bed was comprised of two single mattresses bundled together, no extra facilities in the hotel, no breakfast (not even possible as they have no restaurant). Host person could not even suggest a nice place for breakfast. Hotel is located in a scary alley but close to a nice area at least. |

We would definately go back and stay at Residena Favaro again. It is ideally located right in the centre of Venice and great value for money. The air conditioning was much appreciated in the July heat, the room was clean, and staff (a lovely guy named Marco) were very helpful. We had no trouble finding the place by following these directions in someone else's review: Leave Piazza San Marco on Calle Largo 22 (exit SW corner of the Piazza) then follow this street as it crosses over one bridge and continues through shops. Look for the Bvlgari store on the left and take the alleyway just before it. Favaro is the second door on the left. Highly recommend it! |

The Best Western Hotel Ala is set in a quiet corner of a little square. The nearby vaporetto stop (Giglio) provides great connection to all of Venice. You can walk to Saint Mark's Square. |
The Residenza Ae Ostreghe has an unbeatable location right in the heart of Venice, just 200 metres from Piazza San Marco. |
Hotel Sant'Elena gives you the chance to explore Venice from a peaceful, green area just a 10-minute water-bus ride from Saint Mark's square. Relax in this former convent's well-kept gardens. |
Located only 200 metres from Saint Mark’s Square, Hotel Campiello offers elegant and quiet rooms. The hotel is within easy reach of the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop. The hotel offers a rich breakfast. |
