Great location. Hilton boat taxi at no cost made it user friendly. Walking distance to Harrys and other restaurants along canal nice asset. Hilton very nice facility right next door.

No public space to hang out inside or out.

Owner/Manager was very helpful and most generous in accommodating our needs. We had the least expensive room and the view was great, not of the main channel but to the South and to the West. A corner unit on the 5th floor. Location is the best in Venice.

We had an excellent stay in a comfortable apartment. It was really good to be able to escape from the crowds around the main tourist sites. The bars and restaurants on Guidecca are recommended.

Quiet peaceful location opposite Venice city, with free shuttle service across to San Marco or Zatterre. Spacious, clean towels and bed linen every day. Breakfast essentials replenished each day. Supermarket, bakers, bars and restaurants on Guidecca away from the crowds in Venice.

The only thing that would make me hesitate to recommend this apartment is the price. It may be too expensive for some people

It was very clean and the replenishment of the breakfast items each day was was excellent. It made looking after our young daughter very easy and gave us the chance to enjoy the trip to its fullest potential. The free water bus service to Venice itself was very frequent and easily accessible. The staff were extremely helpful.

Although the reception at the Hilton next door were very helpful in directing us, I feel there could be some signage above the main entrance as when we first arrived it was a little confusing. Other than that we couldn't fault anything

The freedom and convenience of the facilities made it very relaxing..no timetable to keep to and option to save money and "dine in". Views of the canal were fascinating and always something interesting to watch as Venice water traffic went about its business only yards from our window!

- A very freindly, helpful and informative staff, thank you Easter and Eleonora. - My stay was in Carolina studio, it is very spacious, comfortable and very well equiped with every thing i need like a good quality hair dryer, iron and hangers. The fredge was provided with water, milk, juice bottels, cheese ect. - A very nice view at the canal. - Hilton water shuttle can be used for free to go to st. marco square. If you missed it u can go to Palanca station to take Bus no 2, the station is 5 min walking. The ticket for 72 hrs costs €35, or €7 / a single journy.

- not many resturants to go by walking.

It was a bit far from the center of the city.

It is very nice to see the real everyday life of the inhabitants of Guidecca early in the morning when all the tiny little shops open their business. We also loved the beautiful panorama view from our windows to Venice and the Guidecca canale as well as the friendly and helpful staff in the residenza. There are some nice little restaurants on the island just a few minutes walk. Over all Venice apart the crowded tourist areas.

Very friendly wecome by Luca, who sent us a mail before arrival with useful information on how to get to the residenza. It is ideally located for people looking for some peace and quiet, at least in the winter. It was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen and the breakfast was very nice, especially the fresh capuccino and espresso we could make ourselves. Another big advantage was the Hilton shuttle which stops on the other side of the canal- at Zattere and San Marco. This is a place I would sincerely recommend to anyone going to Venice

Ideal if you want room and peaceful surrounds. Self catering apartments next to Hilton Stucky with free shuttle to main island. Nearby restsurants and supermarket and great to return to after busy day in Venice. Nice touch being a bottle of Proseco left for us as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Great view of passing ships and boats.

A beautiful apartment in a great location, with a stunning view. I loved opening up the big windows in the morning and watching the boats and cruise liners going along the canal as the sun rose. It was fantastic, would definately recommend these aparments.

Away from crowds--but still close to activities of the area

Venice was a huge disappointment this trip. It just seems to get dirtier (cigarette butts everywhere and litter on every bridge and pretty place. San Marcos Square is spoiled by the Indian hackers in your face selling little parashoots. The streets were crowded with rude bumping into you, cigarette smoking people. And, graffiti everywhere. The only respites were the Isle of Burano and the beautiful Residenza Grande Vedute. The apartment was spacious with beautiful views of Venice through Gothic windows on the 5th floor. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and large marble bathroom. The free use of the Hilton Shuttle boat gave you easy access to Venice, but such a quiet, clean and classy place to which to return. Luca was friendly and check-in and out was a breeze. Absolutely loved this apartment with the high ceilings and Florentine armoire .

The in room breakfast was ordinary. It would have been greatly enhanced by fresh fruit and pastries. Maid service and restocking of breakfast supplies is only available to 11:00 or so and they will nag you to death to clean the room if you happened to need a morning to rest from trip exhaustion. Neither of these complaints should take away from the beauty and comfort of this property.

1. We stayed on 5th floor and using the wi fi on the ipad was a little flakey as the signal was weak in parts of the apartment. Didn't stop me getting online but was a bit temperamental. Don't let this put you off though as everything else was fantastic !

The service, the quality of the apartment and confort. It's not in Venezia main island, but the free water shuttle is excellent and you can relax and rest in the hotel...

It was not their fault, but the ac was still on "summer" mode and the Italian government only allow to move to "winter" mode in our last night...(15/Oct) and it was a bit cold... Some fresh products for breadfast would be better, however, the variety and quantity was very good.

The location, with a view across to Venice from Guidecca, is fabulous. The rooms are elegant, large, with high ceilings, and very comfortable. It was excellent. The staff were first class.The room service was impeccable. There is a highly convenient free shuttle service across the lagoon. .

My only complaint, which is extremely minor, is that the sound-proofing is not perfect

It's nice to have the space and freedom of your own apartment at times on a holiday, especially towards the end. We enjoyed the opportunity to make our own meals, etc. We also appreciated the location away from, but easily accessible to, the hubbub of the (very busy) city.

Breakfast was provided; however, the quality of provisions could be better.

Without doubt the best apartment I have stayed in. The location was great, away from the main hustle and bustle but handy to get to. We had free use of the Hilton shuttle into main areas which was a huge saving. The apartment was beautiful with spectacular views of the shipping canal, great to relax and watch the busy view. Loved the way the fridge was stocked with hams and pastries etc.....such a lovely place to stay. Staff was very informative and helpful, spoke great english.

The Apartment (Buccintoro) ist a large corner-appartment. The view is absolutely awesome! Everyting is just there (though a washing-machine would have been nice) It's five minutes to the main Island and fifteen to the San Marco Square, by watertaxi (free use of the Hilton shuttle if you like) The staff is very friendly and helpful.

A laundry service would have been welcome (I was travelling for six weeks)

I highly recommend this facility to anyone visiting Venice - it is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It is not in Venice proper but on Giudecca - an island across from Venice itself, but that's what adds to the appeal and charm of this hotel. It is away from the tourist hordes in downtown Venice but easily accessible. The Hilton next door operates a water shuttle service that is also available to Grandi Vedute clients at no charge. The water shuttle takes people across the Giudecca Canal to Zattere (about 10 minutes) and St. Mark's Square (about 20 minutes). Supplies for breakfast are provided each day although there is also a store nearby where you can find other things to quick and easy meals in your apartment. Lucca. our host, could not have been more helpful and accommodating, eager to help and assist in any way. Our stay at the Grande Vdute made our 5-day visit to Venice most memorable.

Fantastic location. Perfect views

The friendliness of the staff, the location.

We would have liked a more direct view from our windows to overlook the Giudecca Channel. Our "Sandolino Apartment" only had 3 small, narrow windows from the side of the building with a very limited view. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay very much.
