Helpful, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, great location and charming furnishings!
Nothing..... Our stay wasn't long enough......
A charming little hotel in a fantastic location for visiting Rome! With Campo de Fiori and Trastevere in very short walking distance, this area cannot be beat. The staff were always very helpful and cheerful. Our older children stayed in the triple room and it was extremely large and perfect for them. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome.
Good location, friendly staff
Walls paper thin, very noisy all night
Excellent hotel in easy walking distance of all the highlights of Rome.
i liked everything and the position is great
The hotel was located so we could walk to almost any site we wanted to visit. Strolling through the nearby piazzas was wonderful with the cafes, farmers markets and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
We were thrilled with our stay at Residenza in Farnese, in particular the convenient, yet quiet, location and the outstanding, friendly staff. Francesca at the front desk is a gem!
Couldn't better the location. Able to explore the main sites of Rome on foot, or get a bus back. Easy to retun for a siesta in the afternoon and then wander back out to the numerous bars and restaurants in evening. Excellent breakfast, good roof garden. interesting artwork in all the corridoors.
nothing! breakfast room a bit cramped
Location and surrounding Piaza's, quiet and clean rooms with a comfortable bed after a days sight seeing
We especially liked the location down a side a lane, but close to Piazza Farnese which is loaded with restaurants. The room was comfortable and staff were very helpful. Charles, the breakfast waiter was a hoot. Plenty of choice at breakfast, so dig in. Would definitely come back to this hotel.
Not the fault of the hotel, but the city tax at 6 euro pp per night is now steep.
Fantastic location in the centre if Rome with a nice roof top terrace.
All of the rooms were on the small side but one room out of 3 we had booked had visible damp in it, wall paper peeling off the walls and water behind he picture frames. When we approached staff about this they viewed the room and agreed to move us the following day as they were fully booked for the night. However the following day we were not moved and when we approached staff they were stand-offish and stated we would not be moved as they had changed their mind so we spent 3 days in a damp room that smelt atrocious.
Breakfast was bigger than the ordinary Italian ones. Staff are very helful and serviceoriented. Private parking Location
Rooms are small and a bit "shabby". Wireless was unstable and only worked for some of us.
We stayed for one night to catch a flight back to the U.S. from Rome's international airport. Great location, nice staff and a very charming italian hotel. The rooms are small and furnishings probably haven't changed in 30 years but that adds to the charm.
If your looking for big modern rooms this is not the place for you and make sure you get a good price under 150 euros or so.
We were here for our honeymoon for 6 nights. everything was so perfect than the other 4 stars hotel. The rooms are really clean, staff was really polite and helpful. Breakfast was various especially. Location is very close to anywhere you wanted to go by walking. Maybe you will need a bus to go near areas to Collesium.
If you arrive at Rome at night, the location could be a little bit hard to find. So it's not good to walking around the streets as foreign tourists. As a suggest, take a cab for first arrival.
Many people have stated in other reviews that the hotel is dated and it certainly is but in a charming, old-school, nostalgic way. The location cannot be beaten, within walking distance of all major sights. The breakfast is fantastic and fresh and plentiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly, We really enjoyed our stay here!
The rooms are smaller than they look on the photos but how much space do you really need when Rome is waiting for you on the other side of the door?
Location within easy reach of many bars and restaurants, yet not too close to experience noise !
The location was perfect , just a few minutes walk from the lovely Piazza Navona! The rooms were spacious and very clean,we liked the furnishing and the whole atmosphere of this hotel . Breakfast was served in a lovely room, everything was tasty and fresh and we were served any coffee we wanted(cappuccino, espresso)which was important to all of us coffee lovers!!!
Nothing worth mentioning !
I liked the area around, very central. The building is a Villa so it was so impactful to stay there and the breakfast was rich and very good. I didn't had time to enjoy the hotel facility, just arrived late in the evening and let early in the morning, but I really recommend to ones want to stay there for pleasure and not for business.
I didn't liked the fact that is far from the public transportantion and I had to take taxi to go around, I stayed in a single room with a very tiny bed, the bed was very rigid so was not comforteble as imagined, the room was very little and it was ok for me that I'm a tiny person, but I can't imagine for a big man how should be...
Apart from the location, it's hard to find anything to like about this hotel.
The staff were unbelievably miserable! We were basically greeted at reception with "breakfast is served at ..." The room we were given was shocking and in no way resembled the photos posted on the hotel's website. While I can understand that not every room can be shown online, I at least expect to be shown the standard to expect. We'd just come from a 3-star hotel that was far better! After complaining at reception, we were given a much nicer room, but only thanks to the older gentleman and not the snotty young man on reception. Breakfast was mediocre (bread was like concrete!), served by the most miserable staff you can imagine and had the atmosphere of a wake! The highlight of our stay was being locked out on the street with another couple for around 15 minutes late in the evening while the night receptionist was flat out in the TV room snoring his head off! Luckily, a resident heard us banging and opened the door. No apologies or anything when we woke him up or the next day.
The location was great for all the main sights. The hotel was a beautiful building in a beautiful part of the city. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff were the best we encountered in four weeks in Italy. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The squares near the hotel come to life at night with restaurants, bars and street entertainers. The locals come to the squares which is a good sign.
Aperitif was disappointing with just a few crisps and nuts.
Everything is good
Car park is to small
Great location - third stay here. Very comfortable. Helpful staff.
Style and quality of rooms seems quite variable. Room wasn't superb as on previous occasion but still good. Wi-fi was a bit sporadic.
Location was very good. Staff very friendly. Clean & hygenic.
No Room service, No iron available, even when requested! No late check out possible due to cleaning staff leaving promptly in early afternoon. Poor WiFi in public areas (reception etc). At check in, was not given the rooms that were booked & reserved, and only after insisting strongly did we receive a compromise!!! If you can not offer the rooms that are booked, do not advertise such on booking.com!
Good location, very helpful staff, Good parking.
Parking to pricey
