With an unbeatable location in the heart of the historic center of Florence and a beautiful view of the city from the roof garden, La Residenza is only 440 yards from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte...

The staff of Residenza were fantastic, very helpfu, cheerful and full of local info. They pointed us to great reasonably priced restaurants 5/5 evenings. Location is very convenient in a quiet neighborhood 10 mins from most attractions- Duomo, Academia.
There are no staff on site after 7 pm so keep this in mind if you need an a early morning taxi. Late arrivals were no problem as the keys were left with the night porter for the building.
One of the best places i've ever stayed. if short, the main points are: walking location to centre, 2nd floor, elevator, spacious room with thick walls. Tiny but nice bathroom. Everything clean and comfortable. But the best thing is atmosphere there, with many cosy details in interior and quite classic music in corridors, fresh cakes with coffee and tea at anytime in the kitchen. And very friendly people who work there. Please enjoy!
Very warm welcome from Luca upon arrival; he took considerable time to explain the layout of the city and to point out interesting sites and restaurants to visit. Clearly a lot of thought had been given to providing a comfortable and well-equipped establishment for guests of the B&B (the snack bar was a particularly nice touch).
Air-conditioner made rather strange and loud noises at times; this was pointed out to staff, who were receptive and indicated that it would be looked at. Noise from street mid-week was also somewhat intrusive (nothing too dramatic, though might be an issue for light sleepers. Our room did look out onto the street, however). Given our overall positive experience, these are of course minor complaints.
If you are staying in Florence do not hesitate in booking Residenze Johanna. Nothing to fault, staff ,accommodation, bedrooms ,facilities excellent but above all friendliness making it home from home.
Pretty much like all that the B&B had to offer. Provided to a budget, it was very good value and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place. Great location!
I cannot think of a single thing that we did not like.
I couldn't fault anything with the hotel except that there was a lot of noise in the street aat night (rubbish trucks etc) but that isn't osmething they could control. Staff were really helpful and polite! Will definitely be going back!
Friendly homely atmosphere. Treated like responsible adults no lists of do's or don't do's. You can help yourself to refreshments day or night from the breakfast room. Easy walking distance from train station or into the city. We have stayed twice and would go back again. A great find.
Small showers water temperature varied. Small price to pay for this accommodation.
Friendly staff & quite area
It's like one of those lovely B&Bs in England. The guesthouse is located in a very old but well-attended building. Breakfast basic but nice. Rooms with characters. Helpful staff. Walking distance to the Market, Museum of Academy, and train station.... Quite a find.
reception closed after 7.30 p.m
The staff were very helpful in planning / booking tours and giving advice about restaurants and things to do. It was about 15 minutes to walk to the central area. The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. You were able to access food for breakfast if you had a tour that started before breakfast was served. It was great value.
It was just a little far from the central area when walking alone at night but it was a safe neighbourhood.
Convenient location (15-20 minutes on foot from Firenze SMN railway station, 10 minutes from the church of San Lorenzo). Quiet area, no noise at night. Pretty room. Comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. At any time of day or night, you can use teapot, eat a muffin left in the breadbox on a table in the hallway. Paid-hour bar with cold soft drinks.
Small bathroom: fatties not squeeze between the sink and toilet. At times, not very fast Internet connection. No wine glasses in the kitchen! Only plastic cups!
The decoration of the interior of the hotel. The room and the ambience The staff and service
Internet connection too slow TV channels not atracttive and not in english It needs some big outdoor sign Elevator
There was a good breakfast, not only bread with jam but also cheese, ham, milk, cereals, cake and some fruits. Chambermaid was always smile really kind and helpfull. If you looking on the map it can seems to be far away from center but it's not. Distance beetwen hotel and Duomo cathedral was about 15min by walk. It's a good hotel for students :)
This hotel is amazing - we had such a great stay here. Quieter than hotels right in the centre, but still only 10/15 minute walk to the main sites. So charming and unique. Fantastic recommendations from the helpful staff too, that helped us get the most out of our stay.
Excellent price and good location.
It was very clean and well organised !bedrooms was good size and the bed were pretty comfortable! Restaurant recommendation was top notch! It is very conviently placed from the main centre
Bathroom in our room was a bit small for our liking
A really good place to stay while visiting Florence and Tuscany!
Very nice atmosphere, walking distance from all the sights
Friendly, helpful and informative staff. Good breakfast and coffee. Cozy and charming room.
Wi-Fi was not up to standard: slow and intermittent.
Wifi and breakfast included, location and Luca at the reception desk was very helpful.
Beautiful interior. Nice and very friendly personal. 10 min by feet to the center of the city. Breakfast is small but tasty.
Low speed of WiFi connection. Small bathroom.
Just felt like home and so relaxing
Staff very helpful, super king bed. Very nice touch to have tea/coffee/cake laid on in the main hallway for use at any time.
Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and could not access the building; eventually helped, (twice) by kind chap from hotel desk opposite. Breakfast was good but breakfast room very cramped, all clients jammed in. Would suggest putting food on table in hall outside and altering table layout to create space.
Not easy to find. Walked past it. Needs more prominent signage
The staff were very helpful and the fact that you could help yourself at any time to tea/coffee cake/biscuits and in the evening liquer and biscotti just made such a difference. It made you feel that you weren't really in a bed and breakfast. It was very homely and the breakfasts were lovely especially considering the space that they have to lay out the breakfasts!! Location brilliant and furnishings beautiful!
Absolutely nothing - I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to all my friends!!!!
