Location, large apartment, big bed
No electric kettle
Rooms have unique character. Close to San Marco, but less busy. Owners/staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in room and is plentiful.
Nothing to dislike - But for the "fussy" traveller, please remember this is a very old building, so don't expect designer bathroom and amenities. Just accept it for the beautifully ornate and welcoming place that it is !
We had a great stay in Residenza La Loggia. Very good service and really nice and helpful staff. Location is very central once you find it.. :-) Definitely recommend the place.
We stayed in the large apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus living room and kitchen. It is in the building next door to the actual hotel, on the top floor. We were a bit worried after reading a review about the apartment, but I am happy to report that most issues raised in the review were fixed when we were there. We still had to carry our bags up the stairs, but this was something we were used to doing in our trip in Italy. Host was very friendly and helpful, apartment was lovely and clean. They had air conditioning, functioning and clean bathrooms, a beautiful rooftop balcony, cable television, and wifi. To top it all off it was so central and we couldn't have asked for anything better. For those aesthetically inclined I'm happy to report that it was beautifully decorated with an authentic feel. You could easily imagine what it is like living as a local in Venice.
Having to leave.
Everyone was helpful and spoke English very well. Great location. Rooms were smaller but was to be expected. Email worked well. Continental breakfast was served in our room. More than enough selection and portions.
Could be difficult to find but excellent directions were emailed when requested.
Fantastic welcome..... our room very authentic Venetian ..... easy EASY access to the water station ... easy EASY access to St.Mark's Square and EVERYthing else Venice has to offer. Our room was as clean as .... thanks to house maid Patricia .... SO kind SO helpful AND SO beautiful. Would come again in a heart-beat.
Stayed 4 night in sept. 2014 and looooved my stay at Residenzia La Loggia! Very well situated, 5min from piazza San Marco, about 80m from rialto station. Bit hard to find (i don't have GPS with the typical small street of Venice. Better arrive during daylight. Tip: stop at rialto station from waterbus. take calle bembo (very small street not always on map) just in front of the station rialto and It goes straight to calle Dei Fabbri, Residenzia is on very small Calle primo gregolina (not always on m'appelle either) on left. Only one bridge to cross which is not too over look when one carries luggage! Family owner very sweet and amiable. Rooms are soooo beautiful, venitian décoration as show non pics on site. Good money value. Had at first red room behind the réception which can be noisy when clients arrive but very nice. Had problem with safe box in It because previous resident left with the key! Staff tried to find double but coule not and told me i would get one dayafter. They upgrated me the day after, for same prize in beautiful room 4 (larger cream colored room). Generous and good breakfast served in room on a plateau with laced table cloth excellent and charming! Modern and clean bathroom with good shore no bath. Hot water, safe box and tea available. Very polite, attentive and smiling staff. As a solo female traveller, i felt very safe. Most of attractions at walkable distance. Many restaurants nearby. Good wifi. Staff is not all fluent in English but i managed very well with my basic notion of Italian and my French. They all do try their best to accommodante you and make your stay agreable. Excellent choice of residence. Would return at this b&b anytime!
Details that could bother people but not me. Would stay again at Residenzia anytime! Room not sound prouved so beware for your "effusion" ;-) Safe box key could not be attached to set of keys, was a bit stressed out to loose it. ... Or to keep it by inadvertance when I left, as previous résident did :-)
The staff were most helpful in pointing out places to go to and how to get there. The breakfast was placed in our room all most as we had asked for it.What more can we say But thanks to one & all for making our stay one to remember
Perfect hotel in the heart of Venice. Very intimate and well cared for hotel. The staff went to every effort make our stay as special as possible. Would definitely recommend.
Close to everything. Tucked away in a side path. A short walk to both St. Marc's square and the Rialto bridge. Staffs/ Family owners were so friendly.
- location was awesome - friendly and helpful staff Dario - A/C worked great so we didn't need to have window open to smelly air and mosquitoes - crazy decor made us feel like we were in a brothel, which made us laugh - bathroom was adequate and clean - safe worked but seemed kind of tricky to use
-coffee at breakfast was worst we've had in Italy. We expected cappucino's but instead it seems they took the brewed coffee and just added more milk, yecchh - toilet was so close to the sink that we had to turn 15 degrees on the seat in order to use it. I suggest a redesign of bathroom. -nothing else to complain about, and these are meant only as constructive criticism so they can improve -was overall good value for $ and we'd come back
Perfect location to visit Venice, very friendly staff, very nice, romantic room. Perfect B&B for a couple, would recommandeer to everybody.
Little bit hard to find in a very small narrow street, breakfast was nicely presented in the room but is very basic, would be nice to have some yoghurt and maybe some fruit.
Location, Spacious, Clean, Home style leaving, very friendly staff, breakfast. would definitely recommend for family
floor coverings old and should be replaced, no wifi in the apartment
friendly staff, excellent breakfast. location perfect, easy walking both from Rialto and St Marco.
being really pernickety: a bit difficult to find the narrow street (maybe a plaque with name of hotel at the entrance of the street could help?)
Great location, 3 mins to Saint Maco Plazza, super interior room, great stuff, very friendly and great breakfast at room
Only missing the hot water boiler in my room
Perfect breakfast, perfect location, extra perfect staff, like from the dream
The location is great, inbetween San Marco and Rialto. The room is clean and quiet. The staff is friendly.
The room is small (but then again: what do you expect in the middle of Venice).
The hotel is right in the middle of San Marco and Rialto bridge. The rooms are very clean and well designed but a little small. It is not a big hotel, only a few rooms but this coupled with the friendly staff makes it very cosy. You feel at home. They give you a hotel key and a key to the front door so you can come and go as you please. It feels very private. The rooms have no view but you don't spend much time in the room anyway. For the price the hotel is unbeatable
Fantastic location, very friendly staff and willing to help.
Difficult to communicate as the staff spoke very little English. The 2 bedroom apartment was up 5 flights of stairs, this was not apparent from the advertisement.
We booked Residenza La Loggia, with 4 heavy cases we were lead up 72 stairs to what appeared to be somebody's flat. No airconditioning, Wi Fi could be accessed if we went back down to step 1, or knock and come next door. Plumbing problem toilets failed to flush, lack of hot water for showers, spoke to Manager but had a lack of english, accomadation we booked appeared to be in the building next door?
Great place for great price!
Great location and service! We chose apartment next door to the main hotel. Imagine - 5th floor, no lift, 3 heavy suitcases! But the owners were so kind to help us both times (check in and check out). Apartment is big and beautiful. Gorgeous Venetian style! And the view from the terrace over the rooftops of the city is just incredible!
No WiFi in the apartment. But you can use it in hotel lobby or breakfast room for free.
the staff is helpul. The breakfast is hearty.
the room is too small especially for the bath room. There is some unpleasant smell inside the room.
The location was really great and it was close to all the historical places. The staff behaved very well and provided whatever we asked.
It is a little hard to find.
Great location. Stands in the middle of the Rialto and St. Mark's square. Nearby souvenir shops and restaurants were fantastic. Staff was friendly and waited for us until half past 11pm!
Room was not so quiet
