Breakfast with great variety of dishes, changing every day. Wifi with great reception in all rooms. Very friendly staff. Just outside Florence, very quiet, only 15 car minutes away from the hectic city.

Lots of mosquitos around the pool, but that seemed to be a problem elsewhere in Florence too.

A fabulous relaxing retreat close to Florence but far enough away to think you are miles from nowhere. Beautiful.

We were really surprised how close this villa to all the Florence sightseeing and you feel like you're somewhere in the country far from the crowds of tourists. Also the villa has a pool which we used to cool down after a day of walking in the sun.

the serenity, ambience, owners and staff, access to south end of Florence

Italian side road systems when you rent a car. Taxi prices were reasonable but lack of English speaking, important to know addresses of where you need rides to

Where do I begin??? We pulled into the gated parking lot to see a small sitting area. We walked down the steps and we were great by Senor Leonardo (the owner). He welcomed us and made us feel right at home. He took us to our room that he said was "small"....it was not small at all! We had our own bathroom, wardrobe, a sitting area and two beautiful views. For breakfast, the family had a perfect Italian spread from caffe, hard salami and cheeses, fruits, cereals, and more....we ate too much but we just could not help ourselves. I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to have that European feel. It was a quick jaunt to the center of Florence (we drove and parked, walked over the bridges). This is great for a family, honey mooners, etc....You will LOVE it!

The breakfasts were by far the best I have ever had at a B&B. Bountiful, varied, expertly prepared, always with some eggs and meat. The cheese and ham omelets were so good, not to mention crepes, fried mozzarella, home made Italian pastries of perfection, fruit, cheese etc etc etc and artfully presented. Plus, a big assortment of "to go" pastries, crackers, cheese, and fruit. Bottled water and crackers are free and always available in a 24 hour lovely eating room for guests. The hosts are charming and over the top helpful. I think they will do anything to make your trip better and cheerfully made me a massage appointment with a local masseuse. More like an expert concierge at a 5 star hotel than a B&B. Simply the best! The decor and view are stunning and the place is immaculate. The daily "room tidying" was amazing as I am a bit messy and everything was always in order like magic everyday, except if you put a "do not disturb" sign which I used when my work papers were everywhere. The bus to Florence is close and easy and the parking is great. So if you want to explore Florence (scenic 10 -15 minute ride away) and stay in the Tuscan countryside this is the place for you. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and so reasonably priced. I don't often take the time to write reviews but I felt I had to. After all, Leonardo gave me a bottle of fabulous chianti with his compliments as I left. Mille Grazie!!!!

Can"t think of one thing I do not like!

We were quests for one week and enjoyed our stay at La Torricella very much. Very nice location, still close to Florence city but also in the country side with a wonderful view. Whole La Torricella very neat and nicely decorated; lovely hosts. Were looking forward for the delicious home made bakery served for breakfast each morning! To summarize: we will be more than happy to stay here again when returning to Florence!
