Located in the heart of this lovely little town between sea and mountains, called Castellamare del golfo, Le zagare gave us a top experience! Very nice and helpful staff that gave us much advice about what to see and where to go. Modern, clean and convenient facilities. Breakfast buffé with more choice than most b&bs in Italy, small kitchen in the room where you can prepare your own meal and a roof terrace to enjoy in the evening.

Our room was one of the two that are on street level, so ear plugs are recommended in order to sleep at night (even though it is not at all a trafficked street at night!)

We enjoyed our stay there very much. The location is great for visiting the West of Sicily. Giulia an Claudia were extremely helpful pointing us where to go and were to eat etc... When we return to the west of Sicily we are going to book this hotel again for sure.

The lady at the reception was very helpful (from the very first moment, when she helped us with parking, through advising us where to go and what to see in the Castellammare del Golfo and its surrounding). All staff and owners was very friendly, kind and helpful, and we felt welcomed and comfortable there, really family atmosphere. The room on the ground floor was great, cute little kitchen, all perfectly clean, with our own entrance from the street. Delicious breakfast, both sweet and savory, with fresh fruits and tasty coffee. Definitely recommend!!!

Good hotel with great and helpful staff. Very nice and friendly owners. Tastefully decorated and spacious rooms. We really enjoyed our stay there.

I assumed that parking would be a problem but it turned out not to be one so as a consequence I have nothing to complain against. :)

Close to San Vito lo Capo beach.

The main beach is far away (20 min by walk). Don´t book the studio in the groundfloor because the room don´t have windows and the door is direct to the street!

We loved this place! Giulia and Claudia were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating! They provided a crib for our baby, let us check in early, gave us a beach umbrella to use, and recommended many delicious restaurants- Antiche Scale was our favourite! The breakfast was also wonderful as was the overall feel and decor of this hotel. As a side note, Castellalmmare is our kind of town- not too touristy and full of charm an character.

I would highly recommend an upstairs unit because it can be quite loud from the upstairs guests in the suites down below. Also, if staying in a ground level unit, ask for the quieter side street.

We loved everything about this place! It is family owned and run, and the attention that is paid to each guest is incredible. The only other place I've had such good service is at The Four Seasons- seriously. Rooms are beautifully decorated, everything is new, air conditioning is excellent, bathrooms are spacious and well appointed. Location is right in the middle of town, but on a quiet side street. A 15 minute walk from a beautiful beach, and 5 minute walk from the charming harbor filled with fishing boats and seafood restaurants. I would recommend this place to everyone!

The wifi was inconsistent, especially in the evenings. Not sure if that was the hotel's fault, or the Italian telecom company.

Wonderful family owned hotel that has been lovingly restored with attention to detail. Lots of choices in their breakfast buffet, which is always being refilled. Location is near restaurants and shops and a short walk to the sea. But the best part is the attentive family that is always happily helping when needed. Would definitly stay here again!

The staff were really welcoming and in a great location. Easy to park right outside - but a small car is a must on these streets. Great place to visit the sites of the town. Roof terrace is lovely. Breakfast is plentiful but basic but most adequate (i.e. no cooked options if you wanted one). Rooms were a good size and pleasantly finished. We had a first floor room and this was nice and quiet - lower floors open onto the streets and I can imagine are a bit noisy. We had to leave pre-breakfast and the lovely staff left a very full tray of food for us to have.

Free wifi but seemed to drop out first thing in the morning - this was the only minus for a 4 night stay

Room was nice and clean, and everybody was very helpful.

The bottom rooms are literally on the street, so there is a lot of noise. But if you use it only for sleepover it ok.

Le Zagare is a a welcoming small hotel well run by Guiseppe and his daughters Claudia and Julia. It is well appointed and enjoys a good location in the centre of Castellamare Del Golfo just s few minutes walk to the harbour. The town itself is unpretentious and very welcoming. There are many good restaurants and cafes between the hotel and the harbour. The town itself boasts a wonderful beach and I would recomment "Frank and Sara's" for those who have an vaersion to boom boom music( I do ): there is no music at all. This is not only a wonderful location to relax and wind down but also a good base for visiting the nearby sights, beqachs and coves.

The family run business is extremely friendly and assisted in many of our impromptu bookings. I would not hesitate to book it again if I go back to castellamare del golfo!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The rooms were perfect with everything you need, clean and with a great look and feel. The family running this place is very nice and willing to help in every way they can in order to make your holidays great.

If you're in one of the rooms on the ground floor bring some earplugs with you if you care about the noise.

We visited Le Zagare for second time, and I must admit that service and quality are consistently high, a room and a terrace were exceptionally clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Last year we stayed on the room on a ground floor, and now we ordered room on top. It was much quieter upstairs, room was not very big, however entrance to the terrace from the room was very nice, that is why we spend a lot of time there. It was very pleasant to see that owners were able to maintain high standards of quality. Le Zagare provides transfer to/from airport, Castellammare del Golfo is a beatiful town, but it is not easy to reach by a public transport. We spend a wonderful 10 days there once again thanks to the Giuseppe and his family.

    V. friendly and helpful staff. Everything in excellent condition. Well situated (part-way between bus station and seafront). On a very quiet street, so no noise at night.

Small balcony onto narrow street didn't give much of a sitting-out option.
