perfect location, next to the train station and the Sita bus station！Clean room and smooth wifi connection.
The male staff is very unfriendly and even a little bit aggressive. We could accept the many many rules but we cannot accept the fact that he insisted letting us paying by cash with some "untrusted reasons". With his aggressive attitude we have no choice but paying by cash. Then he "promised" to give us the receipt and the rest change back on the day when we leave the hotel, but at last he just "disappeared" and no receipt or the changes money back at all…… We even do not know whether he has charged us with my credit card information and then surcharged again by the cash we payed. This is not acceptable at all !!!!! Do not recommend though the hotel has great location and properly clean room.
-Landlord (owner) is quite aggressive, no service mind -Bathroom is too small, water not drained well -Very hot inside room, not allowed to open A/C -Not worth my money!!!!!
Location to train & city is awesome All tours leave from train station so only have to walk across the street Very clean rooms & building Great & helpful manager Lots of restaurants around All round great hotel Laundromat on the corner
Room was noisy at main door so would stay further down hall next time Sometimes street is very noisy in night
Too many not permitted, too noisy
The city is fun to discover - University students everywhere. Lots of outdoor sitting in Piazza's
Very close to the train station and very friendly manager.
Place was very convenient
Very noisy at night as it's the main street below. Lots of drunks yelling.
- smooth wifi connection - 5mins from train station
- the boss there is unfriendly and not helpful attitude - too many rules - inconvenience to go up/ down with luggage (the lift can be used only with their key) - all rooms are not sound proof. you hear next door, next door hears you - with the same price, a lot of choices in the city with much better quality - stayed there once and the last i guarantee
Hard to find at night. Needs a larger sign on the building . Hotel building is on the corner of two streets. Would be good to make that clear in the booking, com blurb.
We stayed 10 nights in 3 hotels in Italy. Residenza Millenium was the 1st one and we stayed there for 3 nights. The rooms were large, airy and very nice, my room (#1) had an iron canopy bed and also a lovely large terrace. The ceilings were beautiful. The bathrooms were ok, no soap dish in the shower. It had a rain shower head, so it would be a good idea to supply showercaps for those who don’t need to wash their hair every day. In all you could see that someone had given the décor some TLC. We weren’t so happy about the lack of coffee/tea making facilities and there is no bar fridge either. Our host, Mario, told us that some guests had used the fridge for very smelly items and tried to do some cooking as well. Maybe Mario could make some room in the hallway for a fridge for communual use – a sign on the fridge could “warn” the guests that only beverages should be placed in the fridge and anything else would be thrown out. And maybe Mario could install a coffee/tea machine in that same hallway . . . Please don’t attempt to arrive before or after the opening hours without making contact with the management, you will be standing in front of a closed door. The Millenium is very central, very close to the railway station, and everything else is within walking distance, Florence is not such a big city. There are lots of eating places nearby as well. Knowing the drill at the Millenium I would stay there again.
Too many don'ts
Close to station shops etc. Clean and nicely furnished.
Good location close to the train and bus stations. The owner was lovely and the rooms are nice and very clean. The ceilings in the room are great
It wasn't a problem, but it's a very quiet building. You could hear guests in the next room talking. Noise from the street is pretty loud. But definitely value for money.
Lovely decor. Room excellent. Good security. Very comfortable. Great bathroom. Nice outlook.
Lack of tea/coffee facilities in room. Poor lighting in stairwell (one of us had a fall descending stairs). Too many unlabelled switches in stairwell. Overly complicated procedures/instructions for getting in and out. Unclear/absent description regarding 'extras' in welcome basket (no indication in basket or compendium as to whether wine and water were complimentary or for purchase). Too many rules/expectations and not enough customer focus.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel was close to the railway station and walking distance to main attractions.
The arrogant manner of the owner/manager on our arrival. He was also very rude to my daughter when she had the window open. We were disappointed that there was no ceiling frieze in our room as promoted, nor did we see any in the reception or entrance area.
Location was ok. Rooms were clean.
Staff/Manager had an arrogant attitude. Stairs to 2nd floor not lit properly and dangerous at night. The code that we were given for the front door was incorrect and when advised the manager blamed me... thankfully our travelling companions had a code that worked. Very noisy. Generally this establishment don't care about their guests only their income.
booked this place for its price and convenience of location to the car park under the railway station, but didn't expect a really clean, quiet, tastefully decorated establishment into the bargain.
Warm welcome, host very helpful, room always clean and in order when we get back at the end of the day, very close to the train station and center of Florence. Great stay at RM
Enjoyed the location, very close to the train station.
Did not like how hotel manager criticized us about bringing our own pillow case. no air conditioning, very hot, also did not appreciate waking up to him screaming at the cleaning lady and on the telephone every morning at 8 AM, would have been nice to have some quiet time to sleep in after long walking days.
This was a very neat old building. The hotel is very close to the train station and easy walking distance to everything. There are excellent restaurants nearby and shopping as well. The room was "old" but in a good way and the bathroom was new. I loved the shutters on the window and enjoyed sleeping with the window open.
The room itself was clean. The location was excellent.
Sign on building identifying hotel was a plaque 10x15cm. The stairway smelt like a musty old cellar. The worse part was our bathroom that smelt like a sewer. The window didn't close tightly so we needed ear plugs to sleep it was so loud. Staff's hours are extremely poor (9-4pm). Good luck with a late check-in.
Location close to central train station
If you looking for a place close to the station you will be satisfied.
Not friendly staff. The room and the bathroom were not clean. No hand or hair towels.
The location is the best! Right next to the trai) station， and only less than 10mins walk from the center and main attractions The owner was nice， speaks good English Ceiling of the room has a nice painting My room has a big balcony which was really cool to sit and relax after a day of all the sight seeing Room was clean and new Would stay here again Bed was comfy
Too many mosquitoes even with the windows closed! Dont know how the got in. Woke up with bites all over my body
Location was great. Just around the corner from the train station.
It was warm in our room and although it says it has air conditioning, it is already set per staff and never came on while we were there. There is a restaurant next door so opening the window didn't last long since the smell was very strong from the restaurant.
- difficult to locate even though right next to the station . No signage . - reception closed most of the time. - entry to the hotel for families with small children is really some task. You will need to be coached on how to use the elevator. And even to get to the elevator, you have to climb a flight of stairs. - for opening the 3 levels of locked doors while exiting the hotel , you have to unlock them from the second floor. But in the mean time, if someone else enters from outside, you are basically locked in again. Climb the stairs again, and start the unlocking process all over again. - the bathroom stinks. Water from the shower floods the entire bathroom, so basically only the first person taking the shower has a clean and dry bathroom. - all in all, very unpleasant stay and won't recommend anyone else. Other than the location and the owner willing to help with info whenever he is available, couldn't find any other positives.
