Residenza Paolo VI  

The hotel staff was very friendly and its location its ideal for an early start in the Vatican.

Rooms are extremely small. The hotel is really a residence and it feels more like a well done place for cheap budgets, nevertheless, it was not cheap at all. I decided to cancel most of my stay there as I could find hotels for the same price and double the space. What you really pay here is the location next to the Vatican, but personally I think is not worth the money.

There was so much to love about Residenza Paolo VI but the best has to be the location beside the Vatican City and St. Peter's basilica! The staff was incredibly helpful with arranging airport transportation, Papal Audience tickets and even an electrical adapter we forgot and they were most friendly as well, from the desk personnel to the Bernini Room staff. Every morning we received a page slipped beneath our door that didn't list the daily happenings in Rome, but something far more important to us: the daily scripture readings. Small touches like that, combined with the friendly and helpful staff made our short visit one of the most memorable of our lives! We will definitely stay there every chance we get!

We were traveling and didn't have a cell phone that could work in Italy so were hoping to use Skype to contact our familiy with our travel plans but Skype was blocked by the hotel's servers as was my Outlook e-mail.

It is in a very good location and clean hotel. Pay attention to its religious thematic, but still can be very charming if you stay for couple days and like to see Vatican.

Terrace is nice but you can seat only in a small limited area and you can’t access whole balcony.

This Hotel is the best on all aspects, food, service, location etc. If I will come back to Rome I will definitely take this Hotel again. They have friendly staffs and receptionists. I will rate this Hotel 10/10...I really loved the balcony where you can eat and drink while looking at St.Peter's Cathedral. It is close to Restaurants, specially Chinese Rest..The Small double room that we rented was enough for me, my wife and 2 yr.old baby..I asked for extra pillows and they gave me quickly. I suggest to all of you to take this Hotel. The waiter at the bar was also friendly, he introduced me to their local redwine, and it tastes so great...

Our experience of this fine hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff were very helpful, allowing us to check in early and offering to hold our baggage after we checked out for a few hours until we left town. The hostess was also very helpful in recommending a restaurant, printing museum ticket, and assisting us in making a restaurant reservation.

Perfect location for Basilica St. Peters and Vatican. Small, unhurried, casual, friendly,family atmosphere. We were a family of seven occupying 4 rooms. Everyone felt positive on the location.

The rooms we had were small, but they do have junior suites which are larger. When we travel room size is not important. As long as the room is clean and quiet, adequate privacy achieved, the electricity, heater and air conditioning function, bathrooms are clean, staff is helpful and location affords ready accessibility to sites and is not outrageously priced then all our needs are met. The Residenza Paolo vi fulfilled these requirements.

It is just right across St. Peter's Square.

There's no good Italian restaurant nearby.

So close to the Vatican. Terrace was amazing at night! Waiter, breakfast staff and room staff were extremely nice!! Price was excellent!

Only had dinner once and the quality of the food was at best average.

It was a lovely quiet, safe and peaceful oasis in the middle of the hubub of St. Peter'S. The terrace with it's spectacular view of St. Peter's Basilica nearby always provided a quiet evening respite for us to enjoy a light supper and or an evening cocktail. The staff was helpful, friendly and professional.Breakfast was excellent.

We loved the location - to be so close to the Vatican was amazing! The price was also very good for the standard of the hotel combined with the location.
