The close proximity of the hotel to St Peter's Square/Vatican
Loved this hotel!!!!
Every thing it was perfect
it's near the vatican city the staff was very friendly
the room is small and the tab in the bathroom is very very tiny
Lift to 2nd floor
Breakfast selection and friendly staff service. Guests acknowledged by all staff. Beautiful hotel and excellent location.
I would have liked access to the roof garden and a seated area outside. Nothing I disliked
Very comfortable hotel. Located right next to St Peters Square - you can see the pope giving his Sunday address from the roof-top balcony. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. 'Low-key' entrance door from street - hotel is on top two floors of building - and very quiet inside. Good continental breakfast. Proper family room - double bed with additional single bed (not sofa bed) in separate area through archway.
A great location
The situation, the staff, the breakfast, the terrasse with a view on Vatican
No chair to sit in the chamber
Celebrated my wife's 40th with a surprise weekend in Rome. We wanted to stay close to the Vatican, well it doesn't much closer than this! With views of St Peters Sq from our room and the terrace bar. Friendly staff, very clean and modern. Highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent customer service. Vey clean. Close to all attractions.
The bathroom was a bit small.
Location, location, location. Just a short walk from Vatican metro station and across the street from St. Peter's. You can sit on the veranda at night with a glass of wine and look across at the Basilica. Extremely impressive.
Wi-fi is a bit slow and hit and miss throughout the hotel.
Loved room. Breakfast. Bar balcony. And location.
The Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Air Con was excellent and the staff were helpful.
I was extremely disappointed that despite the heavy use of pictures of the sun terrace as a means of marketing the hotel that it is "strictly forbidden" for guests to use it at all other than on the Sunday for 15 minutes during the papal blessing. I specifically booked this hotel for the views as I am a Photographer and wanted to use the sun terrace to take shots overlooking St Peter's Square and The Basilica. I requested his and was told it was strictly forbidden even though it was also used in the marketing brochure in the room. I complained during my stay but received no reply. Incidentally on two occasions when I was told I was not permitted to go onto the terrace 2 non residents were accompanied by I assume the Manageress onto the terrace and allowed to take photographs. On one occasion they were being entertained in some kind of champagne reception and dinner out there....but not for the paying guests. Misleading and very very disappointing.
If you want to be close to the Vatican this location is perfect.
The location could not have been any better. It is located just a few steps away from St. Peter's Basilica, and our family spent hours at Castle Sant' Angelo. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Breakfast was great, too.
We had two rooms -- one containing two single beds and a rollaway and it was beautiful and roomy. We had another room that had a large bed in it, but it was a little tight trying to walk around the bed.
One of the receptionists at the front desk needed a lesson in public relations.
Siize of the rooms are unbelieveable in comparison to the cost. If not for the location!
The location of Residenza Paola V1 is excellent if you want to be close to the Vatican . It is spotless. Secure. Nice breakfast. The staff are friendly. Close to a bus stop to go sightseeing.
The rooms are rather small. In saying that tho I would still recommend this hotel.
- the location, overlooking the Vatican is excellent - staff are friendly - good quality breakfast - value for money
- the terrace was being renovated whilst we stayed which was really disappointing as it was a major draw in booking this hotel. We weren't informed beforehand, but on the plus side, we were offered a free upgrade to a suite which was appreciated
The location was perfect. It was very quiet. We loved going up to the roof top terrace in the evening. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and pleasant.
Location, efficiency, friendliness, breakfast
Decor a bit monastic but am with same.
The location was amazing. The view from the terrace was great, looking right at the basilica. You walk out the front door, cross the street, and you are in the columns. The rooms were simple yet comfortable. The staff was very friendly & helpful.
amazing roof terrace so close to vatican
You can't beat the location of the hotel, which is hugging the colonnade of the Vatican. The nights were nice and quite. The room was always clean. Unlike most hotels in Europe that advertise AC, this facility's actually works.
