The most romantic hotel that we have ever stayed in! :)
Missing tea-making facilities.
We were given the room of the picture above and I have to admit that we've never stayed in a better one before. Beautiful and comfortable bed, kitchen inside and a window with great view to the cathedral. Just perfect! Anjelika, Piraeus (Athens)
Perfect locate with amazing view of the city from our room. Great service.
Great view, helpful staff. Great value...
3 stories of stairs to climb, but still worth it!!!
Everything is great, we enjoyed living as local in this apartment. The room is spacious and clean, my daughter especially like the loft beds. The kitchenette is small but well equipped.
The owner doesn't speak much English, so communication was a little up smooth, but she is nice and friendly.
The view was incredible. The room and the artwork was charming, as was the feel of the building. We truly felt to be in the heart of old world Siena. I hope we get to return.
The view was beautiful of the city and church. The accommodations were very good. We are sorry we did not stay longer in Siena.
We chose San Domenico because of its location and we had stayed there before. On our previous visit it was just self catering and frankly it was not a lot different this time. If you are expecting a real b & b with fresh breakfast served every morning you will be disappointed. Breakfast consists of a selection of packaged items and the replenishment seems to be entirely random. We were a group of four, two in one room and the other two with a room each but we all had a different experience - some had juice some not, some had yoghourt some not etc, etc. There are six rooms altogether and only one (No 6) has a decent view towards the Duomo. Our room (No 2 - Sapienza) looks out over the street which can be noisy as it is the main route for large parties of tourists to make their way from where the coaches drop them off to the city centre. The building itself is old and the rooms have high ceilings. In some of them a wooden platform has been constructed which is reached by a set of somewhat hazardous open tread stairs. Our room was one of these. It was described as a triple with a double bed on the proper floor and a single bed on the raised area but in no way is it adequate for three people. There is no table and not enough space for three people to sit round the fold down shelf attached to the door of the cupboard which houses the kitchenette. We stayed for 10 days because we were attending a language course and the bed linen and towels were changed every three days. The room was cleaned but the rubbish wasn't taken away unless you tied up the bin liner and took it out of the bin and put it on the floor. The reception is not manned all the time - mainly just in the morning and when guests are expected to arrive. We did not see Claudio and Daniella speaks no English so unless you speak Italian communication is difficult.
Location is central in the city
Dreadful beds, minimal management very poor administration. Lack of supervision,
Just a room not a good experience
Impossible to find hotel. No sign and on second floor of what appears to be an office building. Breakfast is coffee that you make yourself in an expresso machine And some bun in a package. I would not stay again!!
good view .
A superior room was booked but this was apperently not available for the first night due to a plumbing problem, we found however that the room we were supposed to be in was occupied and the occupants had been moved from room 1 (which we were put in) to room 5 where we should have been. Room 1 was very basic and fronted onto a very busy and noisy street. Room 5 that we were moved to was a nicer quieter room. However, the wet room was a poor design which meant the shower leaked all over the floor and into the bedroom if you had it turned up to any more flow than a trickle. Breakfast was appalling some prepacked croissants and melba toast left in a kitchenette to help yourself to. This hotel is not a hotel but more on an appartment rental and a very poor one at that. Being lied to about the room just added to our displeasure.
foarte aproape de centrul vechi
Nice big apartment. relatively convenient location
Hotel location (close to downtime), room design
no lift, no car parking place reservation, breakfast (in fact - was not available), shower in bathroom ( use results in flood on the floor)
The location is wonderful. The room is very spacious. The hostess is friendly. The view from our window is breathtaking. Would stay there again.
Kitchen is small if you plan to cook. We did not so it was okay. The host is very nice but limited english. She informed us breakfast is either some croissants / yogurt/ coffee in our room or we cook eat at the restaurant around the corner. We were told it opens at 930. We went there at 930 and the restaurant people said they open at 1130.
Very authentic Italian. beautiful view. Lots of space. Close to Car park.
Hard to locate. Be prepared for all the stairs with your luggage.
An amazing room with a view of the duomo. Lovely bed and lots of space
No wifi in the room, early check out. Have to arrange time to meet owner for check in, only Italian spoken
The location in the Siena city center. The room was very large.
The facility was terribly outdated. The shower was a spout in the middle of the bathroom so the entire bathroom was soaked all the time. They did not clean the room on a daily basis and the front desk staff was rarely around.
Loved the canopy and loft beds. The room had the most amazing view of the Duomo, and was perfectly nestled next to San Domenico. The staff were kind, warm, and friendly. I also really liked the option to have breakfast at the cafe two doors down.
wifi didn't work in the rooms and the shower flooded
Lots of space, within walking distance of the main square, staff was very friendly and helpful
My pillow was hard
