5 rooms only quiet and relaxing.
Excellent location, only one room per floor, good breakfast, service minded and friendly staff, the rooftop jacuzzi, great view from the roof, small cosy hotel with only a few rooms
Possibly the tiny elevator, the glass staircase to the roof
Location is perfect. How exciting to be staying in the middle of the historic centre of such a fantastic city Fresh orange juice and lovely coffee served by Alvin every morning. Looked after so well by Alvin Igor and Sarah. Charming place to stay!
Convenient for walking to all the major sites. We were in the room on floor one, nice big room, very comfortable large bed, big bathroom with massage shower. Very peaceful despite roads round about when you closed the shutters .Expresso coffee machine a nice touch and storage space excellent. Small lift but big enough for luggage and one person or two people. Nice breakfast, cheeses, boiled eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, cold meats and breads. The staff are fantastic, we missed out connection at Frankfurt and they had booked a transfer for us. They changed it no problem after a frantic email and happily let us arrive about one A.M. Recommend the transfer they arrange at 45 euros met at customs it saves a lot of hassle and the driver was excellent. Great views from the rooftop terrace and there is a hit tub up there as well if you are interested.
Beautiful 13c. Tower kept in pristine condition & converted to a hotel. Amazing quality in the original wood, stone, & metal work. detailed Fabulous staff!!!
Artwork (orange w multicolored paint splatters) in our room (4th floor) doesn't go w the decor. Absolutely stunning otherwise!
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was superb, as was the view from the rooftop hot tub. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of all the major attractions. Thoroughly recommended.
AC not good
Breakfast highlight included freshly squeezed OJ, cappuccino's and big blocks of yummy cheese. The hot tub on the roof was excellent after a long day walking around Rome.
The location is fantastic, it's within easy walking distance of all major places in Rome. The roof top terrace is wonderful (really a couple place not family). Albin and Igor are very helpful. It's full of character. No hesitation in recommending it. We will be back!
Nothing to dislike, it's wonderful.
Employees very nice and helpful
The location couldn't have been more perfect as a base for sightseeing around Rome. Add in the smiling and helpful staff, solid breakfasts, rooftop terrace and hot tub as well as the general cleanliness of the hotel, and I've found my go-to hotel for Rome vacations for years to come.
The hotel is built into a (cool!) historic tower, which understandably limits the size of the rooms and the room layout, but it's no worse than other privately owned European hotels.
I forgot quite a lot of money in the room safe when we left the room. Sarah wired them to me via international wire transfer the next day! Thank you Sarah!
Hotel was more a deluxe bed and breakfast ..rooms lovely ..breakfast good especially orange juice! Views from roof brilliant .everywhere walking distance great location .ALvin was a brilliant host ..
Loved the location, easy to walk to so many of Romes's attractions. The view from the rooftop is amazing and great to watch from the jacuzzi after a long day walking in the heat. The host is fantastic! And loved the breakfasts each morning. Would definitely recommend.
Nothing at all
The location is excellent. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel has a great rooftop veranda and is very comfortable and clean. When we return to Rome we will definitely stay there again.
Nothing it is a great place to stay
Great location. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Good breakfast and wifi signal.
The doors in the rooms could be better - too much noise was entering room.
It's a small b&b accommodation & highly overpriced
Location and very helpful staff.jacuzzi with amazing views!
Friendly staff Breakfast Big, clean rooms Character of the Hotel Location
The shower, too many dials ect
I especially liked the family atmosphere; the friendliness of the staff; the breakfasts that were included in the room price and ease in socializing with staff. It's a good place to spend a few days and visit the beautiful city of Rome
Nothing to say
Location of hotel. Staff pleasant and really helpful. The hotel itself; individual, comfortable, clean, quiet with a great roof top veranda complete with jacuzzi - awesome views.
The view from the terrace. The friendliness of the staff. The quirkiness of the place
Great location in a historical building. Wonderful rooftop patio with fantastic views and a hot-tub.
Loved the 800 year old tower. Great location, and excellent staff. Alvin was a fantastic host!
The location was amazing; right on the edge of the Forum area (close to the Colesseum), but easy access on foot to pretty much all the major sights in the Centre, and the Vatican an easy bus journey away (we walked back). The roof top terrace has amazing views. If nothing else, this is worth paying for. Plus the rooftop hot tub. A 5* experience. The rooms are lovely and the bathroom was nicely finished. There is a separate walk-in wardrobe room with storage and hanging space, as well as a safe, kettle, etc. Having your stuff stored away is useful, especially as the rooms are on the smaller side- although perfectly comfortable. It was a nice touch having a computer in the room. The breakfast selection was excellent- different cheeses and cold cuts, as well as breads, cakes, yogurts, fruits (fresh blueberries, yum!) and so on. The fresh orange juice each day was a perfect way to start the day. The staff are helpful and accommodating. We had a simply fantastic 5 nights in Rome, with champagne in the hot tub being high on the list of magical experiences. So thank you Sarah, Alvin and Igor for a great stay.
I don't think there's anything not to like about Torre Colonna. I'd say if something isn't quite up to scratch, simply ask and the staff will sort it out for you. They aim for perfection.
