The hotel felt like a classic old-fashioned home - in the good sense, with heavy classic furniture. It was very clean and tidy. The stuff were very nice and warm although had a poor English. Breakfast was served in the near by Italian restaurant and was very nice. The location was great, In general we enjoyed it very much. We had hard time finding the place, because street numbering is confusing, the owner insisted that it's O.K but actually the street number is 20 and not 8 as it says. |

This was a lovely place in the heart of Florence and minutes walk from everything we came for. The proprietors were delightful and friendly, the family and cosey feel very appealing and peaceful. The wall frescoes took us back to another age and added to the ambience. We would have liked more easily available internet in or near the property - the hotel system was temporarily down - and we found the included breakfast at a neighbouring cafe rather meagre for this otherwise classy and unique accomodation. |

The location is wonderful as we enjoyed the surrounding cafe's, indoor market, and outdoor market. Florence is a beautiful city for walking and the hotel is in a perfect location. The young man (Lori?) that greeted us was an absolute joy to talk with and he instantly made us familiar with Florence and the highlights. As a personnel preference we would like to have had better pillows but this is true of most hotels we have stayed at in Europe. |

This residence was located in a building dating back to the 1600s so the ambiance was that of a true native experience. Alexandro, the manager, spoke English and was the epitome of friendliness & helpfulness. This residence was very clean, secure, conveniently located, and on a quiet street. The rooms were large and the breakfast was adequate--served in a restaurant located next door. |

The hotel looked great and its location was perfect. The wall were thin and you could hear street traffic below and the owner requested that we pay in advance because he thought we would leave without paying. I was not happy with his behavior especially since he already had my credit card number for the rooms, which were booked months in advance. |

the staff were above and beyond helpful, they were outstanding without being overly intrusive, and the small size of this hotel meant really personal attention. though we barely used it the television was ridiculousl;y s\mall |

Staff were fantastically helpful and knowledgeable; the place was well kitted out, the situation was fairly central but also quiet. It was nice to have our own keys to come and go as we wanted. |

Excellent location - close to train station and town centre. Very freindly / helpful staff. The hotel does not have it's own dining facility. Instead we were issued with vouchers to take to a local cafe which seemed more authentic A bit of street noise and beds on the hard side resulted in some restless sleep - but nothing that would put me off going back again |

The convenient, historical building was lovely, but the best thing was the kind friendliness of the staff. We felt like we stayed in a home and were genuinely made welcome. There were mosquitos in Florence when we stayed there and there are no screens, but the hotel provided a zapper device that worked well when we used it!! |

The room was massive! There was an elevator which is rare for many places in Europe. Free Wifi, small fridge & coffee making facilities in room. Location close to train station and landmarks. Breakfast was quite small, though still very good. |

The rooms are enormous by European standards. Particularly for the very very reasonable prices. There are a number of restaurants across the street from the hotel, and it's very noisy at night, even with the windows closed tightly. We had to buy ear plugs in order to get a decent nights sleep. |
