Host of B&B was above and beyond friendly and helpful. Facility was nice.
Like any other B&B (I assume), its more difficult to get service during odd hours. Heater and air conditioners cannot be adjusted according to a set temperature.
We just loved this place. Everything was perfect- the food, the room and especially the hosts- Michel and Cinzia. Lovely breakfasts and fruits. Fast wi-fi. Ideally for visiting Florence
The rooms are elegant and contemporary and the owners are incredibly helpful and informative. Michel planned a walking route for us to capture the essence of Florence in a day and he recommended excellent local places to visit, eat and drink. Beds and finishing touches all carefully considered with guests ultimate comfort in mind. Breakfast delicious and sourced from the finest local ingredients. 1865 was a real treat and an excellent base for an artisitic adventure.
excellent host, helpful guide, comfort and well-designed room
This is actually my 2nd time staying there. Michel and Cinzia were very friendly and helpful, I stayed there as if I did at my friend`s. There is nothing to say about the stunnning room, the sheets on the bed, the amazing bath room. Plus the scrumbled egg served in the mornig is...just... perfect. 2 years ago, the entering system was a little bit tricky, now it is very easy for the guests.
To book is difficult.
Everything. The best breakfast buffet ever experienced. fresh fruit (melon, kiwi, orange segments, pineapple, raspberries, grapes etc), fresh baked croissants, pains au chocolat, buns, rolls, fresh cheese, cold cuts, coffee tea, eggs cooked to order, tomatoes, the works! Best variety and quality and quantity! Owner was great, Michel gave us a map, told us where to go, where to walk, where to eat, etc. Booked us a last minute tour to Uffizi and Vasari corridor. Everything was excellent. Would definitely stay there again and recommend this place highly.
Nothing. This place deserves its top ranking. They don't nickel and dime you.
Michel and Cinzia (I may have spelt her name incorrectly) were warm and friendly and gave us great information about what to see. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and looked over a garden. We had breakfast at a communal table in the lounge room, where there was a fresco on the ceiling and the renovation of this room was exquisitely done. There was always tea, coffee, fruit, lollies, chocolates and liqueur available, and it was close to everything, but in a quiet neighbourhood. I can't speak highly enough of what is offered here.
Absolutely everything: - Facilities and Comfort: all the details you thought about and you haven't thought about is considered in 1865. Remote light and sound control, soundproofing, robe, slippers, paraben free cosmetics, etc. - Location: just beside the Sinagoga. There is a children's playground green park in front of the building, if you travel with young children, it's a plus. 15 min to the main monuments in the old town. - Staff: Cinzia and Michel are wonderful, they made our stay as comfortable as at home and recommended us where to go, where to eat with very personalized options as we brought our two-year-old son. Michel is a good chef, try his Panna Cotta!
Nothing at all
First of all, Cinzia & Michel are exceptionally good in hospitality. Their hotel has met our relatively high expectations. Excellent job. Grazie.
This beautiful boutique B&B is a perfect base for a stay in Florence. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and the facilities were second to none. The owners were incredibly welcoming and provided great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit - many that were off the tourist trail so we felt like we got to see a bit more of the real Florence. Thoroughly recommended, particularly for couples - we'd love to stay here again if we return to the city.
Cinzia and Michel were nothing but helpful. They called twice for us for dinner reservations, and also offered to book tickets to see some of the busier galleries. The house is very beautiful, with frescoes on the ceilings, and tastefully decorated. The rooms are (surprisingly!) very spacious for a room in Florence. It is in a good location, down the street from an ornate synagogue built in the 1870s. It was no more than a 15 minute walk to the river, and about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. Breakfast is also very good, offering eggs, coffee and cappucino, fruits, pastries, and panna cotta. There is also Vin Santo and biscuits kept out all the time for guests to enjoy on their own time. Note that breakfast is taken at a communal table, so do not expect to have breakfast to yourself. For us, this was not a complaint - we met a number of lovely people at the breakfast table.
The bed was beautiful - but very uncomfortable, not to mention it squeaked so loudly when you climbed in that we worried the people in the room over might wake up! It also was kept quite warm in the room and the breakfast room (our visit was in the dead middle of July). There was an aircon unit, but it didn't seem to work very well.
Great cervices and excellent breakfast! A specially Scrambled Eggs- just the best!!!!
Service was outstanding!!! Location is perfectly set in the historic section of town. Wish I had planned a longer trip...
Everything, and in particular the old style apartment with paintings in the high ceiling. The service by Michel was really excellent.
Incredibly warm welcome from Michel and his family, who are not only a wonderful source of advice and stories, but also seem to attract very interesting guests, who are all inspired to share experiences and stories over breakfast or drinks. The location, decor and arrangements are all superb, and Michel freely chatted with us about the local history and sights, both on arrival and over the lovely breakfast he prepared. Everything we wanted to see or do (and a few bonus surprises) were within easy walking distance. It really felt like our own home, and our own family, in Florence. Very sociable, but also plenty of privacy for those who want it. Heartily recommended..
This was our first trip to Italy and could not have been more pleased with our time here.
It was awsome!
Everything - I can't think of any faults or even how I would improve it.
Excelent and friendliness behaviour. very helpful.
We arrived a little early, but were made very welcome and given a map with a detailed explanation of the places to visit which was great. The room and bathroom were excellent, breakfast good with Michel cooking us some lovely scrambled eggs. Hot drinks and Port & Brandy available whenever you want. Location great for shops, restaurants, museums & galleries. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay.
If they would have a small mirrow near basin to make make up that would be great! But everything was perfect!
The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. The owners are very kind and extremely helpful.
Love this family run boutique hotel. Rooms are all nicely decorated. The host was extremely helpful.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Where to begin?... The service, the hospitality, the rooms, the tranquility, the lounge, the breakfast, the atmosphere, ... its a fantastic place!
Lovely place and Michel (owner) is so hospitable. The best place in Italy!
