Very little Whilst the bedroom itself was an attractive vaulted room, the shower room and toilet facilities were medieval. Arrangements for breakfasts were totally unsatisfactory. The hotel is not suitable for any elderly or even slightly handicapped visitor since accommodation is spread over five floors and there is no elevator. |

Nice & clean but not modern at all. It is a 13th century monastary though, right? It's very central and how many hotels that you stay in your life are going to have frescoes on the ceiling? (Ours did, room 3) If you arive between 12-3 there is no one there to check you in |

Location is very close to Piazza del Campo. View from our room (suite) is right over the city. Small, intimate hotel. Breakfast delivered to your room. No rush to check out. Desk is only open in the morning and late afternoon/early evening. Which means you have to carry the bulky keys out with you in the evening. 2nd bathroom (we had a suite) had the toilet in the shower stall. Lots of steps (normal for Siena). |

The hotel was very basic, with small rooms not much bigger than the bed, and limited hours of operation at the front desk. The showers had particulary narrow openings. There is one central room that has painted ceilings, but otherwise I would not refer to the hotel as a palace. The location next to the downtown attractions, and a 15-20 minute walk from the bus station. |

Breakfast delivered to room, friendly staff The amount of stairs from the front door to our room with heavy bags was back breaking! |

Walk up bld , no elevator, unable to arrive to hotel by private car only by taxi, poor light inside hotel, dark rooms. My room was smelling mold had large stains of rain and mold in room and bathroom. Bathroom extremelly small. The internet description of hotel does not reflect reality. |

The rooms were decorated very well. You really have the feeling of living in a residense of old. Steps up and down - but to be expected. |

Its in a good location-close to the huge piazza but also beside the University which has wonderful views over the city...plenty of restaurants and all the sights, etc are within easy walking distance. The garden looked very special. Breakfast in bed is a real treat and the bed was nice and comfortable. They should do up the bathrooms a bit though for the full-on luxury feel! Only problem I had was that the key I was given broke when I tried to return to the hotel after dinner and the emergency number wasn't displayed anywhere I could see it! However explained this the next day-got in eventually-and I asked for,and was given a discount as compensation which impressed me. |

The room was well decorated and the hotel was located in a convenient position to the city centre. The room was extremely noisy (road trafic) and breakfast was basic and the same every day (i.e. no choices in what you might feel like or usually eat). |

Location- excellent. Old residence full of character. Charming staff. Quiet at night. Lovely garden and courtyard. Bathroom could do with a touch up! Pastries in the morning very unappealing- surprisingly. |

We liked the fact that it had kitchen facilities and fridge. The road was noisy, the kitchen was not well equiped eg the oven was missing. |

This is a great hotel for a solo traveler. The staff is helpful and friendly and the location is perfect. The breakfast was excellent - the cafe americano was hot and the food substantial. I would stay again. |
