Good access to all the sights
Comfortable, clean, quiet, friendly staff, good price and in the heart of beautiful Siena. What's not to like?
Located in the very centre of town, handy for exploring all the corners of this magnificent city. Clean, functional rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast ..very good value for money.
A fantastic B&B that in a castle.
Some staff members seemed to have come directly from the Inferno. Earplugs were standard in the bathrooms - college kids could get rowdy before midnight (in January). There is a lift, but you will have to navigate some stairs to enter and exit, and possible get to your room. All minor issues. Not the cheapest 3* in town, but location makes up for the extra 30 or so Euros you pay.
Location. Very quiet, comfortable, spotless rooms, new soundproof windows, that work. Breakfast quite adequate. Great little restaurants, salumarias, gelatorias within minutes of your door. Infinitely better value than the 5* hotel 5 minutes up the street.
Very central, close to all monuments. Very nice rooms, decorated in old style. Very nice staff.
Siena was my favoriate city during my travel in Italy and I like the room I stayed. So ancient and quiet and clean, at night, I almost felt like I was living in the middle ages. Breakfast was wonderful and friendly staff! Best wishes to all!
The first impression of the hotel entrance was, it must be said, disturbing . It was late in the evening, dark and raining, and we were unsure if we had arrived at the correct venue. It was not immediately obvious that there actually was a hotel there!! We were slightly perturbed by the addition of earplugs to the shower gels and soaps, but we slept well without them .
The location was excellent , very close to the main square . The staff whom we encountered were friendly and helpful without being effusive or overbearing . Wi Fi was free . The room was comfortable, warm and very clean .
Though they have a very helpful information sheet with directions and parking options, it needs to be printed out to be useful and was not possible on our one night roadtrip with only an iPhone and the clothes on our backs...You have been warned.
Andrea, the helpful English-speaking front desk staff member, stayed late as we tried to find cheap parking (not easy, if not impossible) and our way to this very centrally located Siena hotel. He made sure that we had everything we needed and directed us to a good restaurant upon our arrival. Our room was clean, comfortable, and neat. Toiletries were provided and a mini-bar was available. Breakfast was delicious (fresh pastries), cheerully served (cappuccino made to order), and lovely (yes, LOVELY--American hotels, you could learn a few things).
Because I booked with you, I was unable to change my reservation from 3 nights to 2.
The location and friendliness of the staff.
Breakfast could be a bit better. Several things in packets (as is often the case in Italy). But helpful and pleasant service.
Stunning building, very well restored. Perfect location right in the centre of everything, but still quiet. Pleasant and helpful staff. Looking forward to returning and staying there again.
This is a superb choice for a stay in Siena. It couldn't be more central but is also a haven of peace in a very busy and sometimes noisy city. Air conditioning in the rooms means that the windows can be left closed at night if you don't want to hear the revelry from the nearby Campo which sometimes is still going strong at 2am. Pleasant little breakfast room with a simply selection of food is included in the price. It is important to realise that the Station is a long way from the old city. Certainly too far to walk with luggage. But Taxis wait outside the station and for 7 euros will take you to within 100metres of the hotel or you can get a bus.
no access with car , We had to search for the hotel for over 1 hour, walking with our suitcases all over the old city on a rainy night. the cook was a bit furious...
Location , price , welcoming english speaking receptionist. Public parking (at sport stadium) is 10 min. walking (if you can find the hotel...)
Location & staff
Several flights up - the lift wasn't working when we arrived so this would have been difficult if not fit. Breakfast basic - coffee indifferent for Italy & water for tea not hot enough.
Great location, pleasant staff, clean, spacious room, air-con.
The credit card being charged when I requested to pay in Euro. It was an extra cost for the stay and an additional cost to the facility.
The Location and Staff
The staff were helpful, but hard to get a smile from. The breakfast was very basic and although the WiFi was included it was virtually impossible to get a signal.
If you want to explore Sienna this location is great. It is a romantic place to stay with an excellent atmosphere.
We were v tired on arrival-early bed but woken by massed drums at presentation of la Palio. Wish I'd known.....would have attended! So not really a complaint!
Central, polite staff. Honest staff.....when passports and money left behind we wet immediately contacted.
Too noisy at night with street noise until 4 am each night despite the Palio being over .
Good view from room and Vincenzo is an excellent receptionist
the breakfast was simple and the waitress rude. They offer to serve breakfast in the room, but only as a very simple meal.
wondeful antagonism. Like stepping a hundred years back. The junior suite to the street offers a beautiful view over the rooftops.
Parking the car was difficult and a little far from the hotel.
The room was exactly as on pictures. Location is in the heart of the city. Staff was very friendly. Connection with the hotel staff before arriving was good with reasonable instruction for car parking.
On the mobile site it stated check in after 15:00. It didn't indicate you need to be there prior to 21:30. We arrived 45 minutes late but fortunately the clerk allowed us in. Also note the hotel is not well marked. You don't want to find this place in the dark. You are not allowed to drive on the streets so you'll carry luggage a great distance to get there. The disco below was part of the ambience of our room until about 3 am. I simply wish some of this were disclosed on their web site.
The staff were helpful. Breakfast was a typical set up, but tasty. Rooms were large and comfortable.
Access up three flights of stairs. Lack of signage on the street. Difficult to find. Parking only in public car parks which was very expensive.
Character of room.
We had a junior suite which was not what we considered a suite to be more of a family room with extra bed. Breakfast poor eg tinned fruit! We did not know it was on 3rd floor either.
You could not fault the location just moments from everything. Staff friendly.
If you travel by car the nearest parking hall is Ovile.
