Residenza Frattina  

Wonderful lounge/breakfast room furnished in sumptuous baroque style. The best buffet breakfasts that I can remember having. I liked that the minibar was free and that guests were invited to have fruit and other food from the breakfast buffet throughout the day without extra charge- some people even took things for their lunch! The hotel is on a very quiet road even though in the centre of the old city. The room shutters and double glazing shut out all noise over night. The hotel location is ideal for a visit to old Rome, with all the key locations within 30 minutes walk or less

Mainly the staff, they are not unfriendly but indifferent. They do not assist with any concerns, questions or problems with the hotel. My son's room had no hot water in the mornings and our hot water was minimal. When we brought this to their attention they did not care. When we asked questions about Rome they told us to look on the internet. The internet did not work for 2 days while we we there. The evening male staff on duty was exceptionally rude. The female staff on day duty were friendly but not willing to help with concerns. Very disappointing given the price.

Location, staff, breakfast and facilities all excellent. Felt right at home. Good variety at breakfast, comfortable room for four.

Street noise sometimes noticeable. Probably depends on the room.

this was a really friendly well located and lovely hotel

Th breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast itself was delicious - a nice selection of proteins (hard-boiled eggs, cheeses, meats) amongst the more typical breaks and pastries. The location was also wonderful.

Residenza Frattina is up three flights of stairs - to the office; and then our room was up another flight of stairs. I knew about the stairs in advance from other reviews, but knowing about it and dealing with it with an entire family's-worth of luggage are two very different things. Also, when we were shown to our room (which had a sofa bed instead of the two promised singles), we were not told about the hot water switch in the bathroom. As a result, it took two hours for the water to heat up - two hours after we had wanted to shower and go to bed. Good news - once the water is hot, it is very hot!

all the hotel staff was very polite & friendly with us. The rooms kept clean everyday. The location is perfect as its exactly in the center of Rome.

the bathroom was not spacious

I liked the details they had for us in the room. Everything was thought to please the visitor. This is especially true for coupples visiting the Hotel. Its location is privileged and we enjoyed our stay.

There was no elevator. It is understandable but you have to carry your backs two stories through stairs.

Chiara at the reception desk was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The breakfast room/ lounge area was lovely, and the buffet breakfast and coffee were both great! The free minibar was a nice touch, although we discovered it too late. The location was very convenient and surprisingly quiet at night.

The room was rather small for 4 people. (We had been staying in apartments previously, so the smaller accommodation was a little confined.)

Great location for city tour and shopping. Our quadruple room was spacious and nicely furnished, with a small but nice and modern bathroom. Free minibar and buffet with cakes and fruits available throughout the day included. Nice breakfast (fresh food and good coffee/cappuccino). Warm atmosphere, and the interior decor and design blends well with Rome's old style of living. We also enjoyed the bikes available from the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and we would recommend it to anyone.

Room isolation could be a bit better. In our case, our room had a connecting door with neighboring room.

Although an older hotel with not all the mod-cons of many hotels, this is a charming place in the center of Rome's shopping district. Very friendly staff will make you feel at home.

The staff are very friendly and helpfull, the location is fantastic just minutes away fromm spanish steps, however there is a certain room is very small for 3 people like first time we came but the staff had change us to a bigger room. Definetely we will return to their hotel.

We have to climb up because they have no lif and we have to carry our luagage all the way up, and sometimes is a bit noisy it depands which room you are staying.
