Great location, delicious breakfast, clean and nice room
New boutique hotel located just a step away from the Roman Forum. Located on a street with several nice local restaurants that very much worth to try. We decided to book the hotel solely based on the pictures and we're very glad to find that the condition of the room was as good as the posted pics. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast Location Bed Bath
I would expect more guidance of nearest good restaurants/pittzeria's
The spa and the breakfast. Very kind staff.
Our room was tiny and unconfortable - n. 51 on the top floor. Great terrace, but half of the room (including the closet) was downstairs, and half (bed and bath) upstairs. The stairs to be climbed to go to bed were narrow and even dangerous.
Very high wall to jump in to the shower and no space at all to pray
Fantastic location. Interior design of the hotel and rooms - smart, contemporary, and very nice. Feels new and very clean. Comfortable bed, lovely ambiance, helpful staff. Breakfast is very good. Great for young couple, has a chic and funky touch. Overall we loved our stay and will be back.
Walls are thin, so you hear your neighbours well, and the local bar brings people on the street late evening. (But our neighbours were pretty respectful) Lacks a few things to bring it to excellent comfort. Counters are small.
Staff Modern Decor in a historic setting Marble shower WiFi that works Breakfast Location
Very well located for tourism. Reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast included. Modern clean interior.
Not much negative. If I had to single one thing out it would be the local bar located a few steps down the street that kept us up on a Monday till 3am. Not really that active but the voices would echo down the side street it is located on.
location facilities service
noisy…because there are some pubs around and windows are not "noisy" proof. Be careful on weekends
serves preciesly the needs of a city tourist.
Very good bathroom and bed. Located near collosseum and roman forum
Deco not too cozy
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and enough. The double bed was wide and not too soft or too hard - just right! The wardrobe was spacious enough. The room had a complimentary tea, coffee and a kettle to use. The location is very good to walk to main touristic sights. The Coliseum is very close, as well as a larger street with shops and Post Office. The room was quiet, we didn't hear any street noise at all although the surroundings are quite busy. There are cafes and pizzeria just few steps from the hotel, on the same street.
The sockets in the room are of a different standard - the usual EU plug won't fit, but the thinner ones will! There is one adapter in the room. The bed had a very strange smell in one corner which was rather disturbing. Couldn't understand what it was as the bedding was clean and nice. The window of our room was very small with no view at all. The shower room is separated from the toilet. The toilet is nice with good size sink, shelves and mirror as well as radiator for towels. But the shower cabin (more like a step-in chamber) is on the other side of the room which makes it slightly uncomfortable at times and has nowhere to place your shampoo bottle etc - those have to go on the floor. The wifi was sometimes extremely slow or disconnected (mostly during the evenings). The scrambled eggs at breakfast were always heavily undercooked (half-raw) and looked more like a soup.
i like this hotel because so clean ,good location, nice staff special Mr Nicola and his father
Very central location, 5 mins walk from Colosseum, 10 from Trevi fountain. Comfortable room, great bathroom as long as you don't need privacy for your shower, friendly staff, good breakfast included.
Earth-shattering noise of bottle collection in street early each morning! And the shower: we didn't mind this at all, but some people might - it is fully visible from the bedroom with no way of making it private.
Location Location Location Friendly staff. Changed us to quiet room Wellness
Poor wifi Noise in street side rooms. Ask for rooms at back No lights on roof top terrace. This could be a great lounge area Breakfast limited and always simular. Gets boring after 1 week
Within walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions. Clean and comfortable rooms Personable and helpful staff Beautiful spa area and attentive spa staff Fresh local produce on offer contributed to a delicious breakfast -fresh juice and coffees appreciated.
The noise from the little bar next to the hotel, and beneath our room that faced the street, impacted on sleep quality (being light sleepers) - otherwise we enjoyed a near perfect stay at Residenze Argileto.
comfort, quality approach, clever interiors
We full enjoyed our six-night vacation stay at the Residenze Argileto in late October 2014. This new, small, privately run hotel in the center of Rome is well managed and maintained. We had a superior room on the third (American, fourth) floor with a very comfortable, king-size bed, a sofa chair, and a desk with a curious, gluteus maximus chair. The large bathroom with a toilet, bidet, and sink abuts a sexy, multi-nozzle shower with glass doors but requires climbing over a 20” base wall. The window can be opened for fresh air. The room was centrally air- conditioned and had a view of the Via Madonna dei Mondi, the Roman Forum, and the Victor Emmanuel Monument. The hotel is entirely non- smoking. The WiFi worked well. We did not make use of the sauna, spa, or the message. The reception staff was friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. The gentleman who served guests in the breakfast room was eager to please us with freshly squeezed orange juice, cappuccino, and tea. The buffet included different types of salami, hams, cheese, eggs, bacon, tomatoes slices, jams/breads, Nutella, fruit, cereal, and an assortment of tortes. From the hotel, it takes just a few minutes to walk to the Cavour Metro station (Line B), to an Official Tourist Office on the wide Via dei Fori Imperiali, to a less crowded entrance of the Roman Forum across the street from the Tourist Office, to Michelangelo’s Piazza del Camidoglio, and to the Piazza di Venezia where busses fan out in different directions. We walked to San Pietro in Vincoli (St Peter’s in Chains) to see Michelangelo’s Moses statue (8 AM-12:30 PM; 3 PM-6 PM) and headed along the edge of the Forum to see the Coliseum at night; part of the walk has temporary walls behind which is the construction for the new Metro (Line C). Checkout was easy; but the daily city tax needs to be paid in cash. We asked for a “shuttle” to Fucomini Airport; for 45 Euro, we were privately and responsibly chauffeured in a Mercedes to the airport.
Closet space behind a drape was rather limited for two people.
Great location Very comfortable room, the bed and the shower were great Wifi was good
Breakfast could be better
Great location Comfort great Service great Room great
This is a nice modern hotel in a great location with competent, friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and TV has plenty of channels to choose from. The WiFi worked really well and there is a nice roof top terrace to enjoy.
We booked the Residenze Argileto as it promised "on site" parking but lets make this perfectly clear, there is no on site parking, there has never been on site parking and there will never be on site parking. Consequently we parked (as recommended by a staff member) in the only place we could find about a kilometre away on the street only to be broken in to that night. The break in is obviously not the fault of the hotel but we would not have stayed there if their description of the hotel's facilities had been accurate in the first place. Also the TV was difficult to operate, there was virtually no cold water pressure some days and you need an engineering degree to operate the shower.
Location Helpful staff Wonderful breakfast Spacious room Comfortable bed
The room was not like the photos on the net. The bathroom had many problems. No luggage place in the room. I felt it is too expensive comparing room and the backside view.
The hotel staff were very helpful. The whole place was clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent.Tea and coffee facilities in room always a bonus.Very close to all you would go to see in Rome.
Fabulous hotel in central location. Newly renovated with all the mod cons. Day Spa down stairs for relaxing after the bustle of Rome. Great breakfast. Staff we're wonderful. Would definitely stay there again.
