There is not a bad word I can say about this place,Outstanding beauty, beautiful hotel,Staff cannot do enough for you tend to your every need, the owner himself will put himself out for you a wonderful Gentlemen. I'm going back in January cannot wait.
I really can't see what anyone could complain about.
This place is amazing in every way - on arrival we were invited into the kitchen to share a glass or two of wine whilst we helped to prepare a simple impromptu lunch- which we shared with the owner Vittorio. No charge, just hospitality. Every evening with our meal we were offered tastes of local produce and advice on which local wine to chose. A truly unique and special place run by inspirational staff.
Absolutely nothing at all.
Make sure you take SP19 towards Savoca to get to the place as Google maps will have you going through goat trails on the SP18. Once at the main square, it is a short 5 mins through small streets to get to the place. The place is charming. Rooms had good views. Pool has great view to the valley and ocean.
Not many restaurant options in town. But the owner makes up for it by treating you like he's invited you to a private dinner on his estate; you sample his olive oil, reserved wine, digestives....
Unique location, beautiful view, attentful, very nice service, delicious pasta lunch with Victor, feeling home
The road to the location is not easily accessible but 100% worth doing
The food, staff and owners made this an unforgettable experience for us!!! We will definitely come back
wonderful staff. very welcoming, made you feel like part of the family and nothing was too much trouble. Vittorio, his son and the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. They genuinely care for their guests and have created a wonderful place up in the hills im not sure i have ever stayed anywhere where the atmosphere and welcome is so good - and i have travelled alot for business and pleasure
the road up was a bit nervewracking, but once youve done it once, its ok!
Terrific hotel with fantastic rooms and view. Mr. Victorio great host. Very cool mid evil town.
Be careful with using stated address with GPS, may take you OFF the easier main road and through tiny mountain pass through the back way.
Location was stunning, Staff and Owner really friendly and helpful. Comfortable room within the hotel complex. Restaurant facility really useful given the location. Food good and prices very reasonable.
Driving to the location was really scary, would suggest a really small car or a taxi. Taking out a damage waiver insurance is not only recommended but essential!!!!!!
The stunning views The great breakfasts and dinners The wonderful host Vittorio and his team The lovely spacious and comfortable room with spectacular view and balcony The peace and quiet The gorgeous church, steep winding streets and character of Savoca itself Our fabulous cooking session in the kitchen one rainy day followed by a tasty Sicilian meal, wine and and good company The atmosphere was very relaxing and this is where you can really chill out Thank you Vittorio, so glad we stayed here
Nothing- cant really fault anything
We enjoyed our stay there very much. The place is wonderful, the stuff is very friendly. You can feel that they want you to enjoy every moment of your staying. The total atmosphere is calm and comfortable.
We were very impressed with the beauty of the hotel set charmingly as part of village. Vittorio and franchesca were welcoming and kind attending all our needs with great care . The food was great and the setting in front of the mountains and sea was breathtaking. My son was making a short film while staying and Vittorio went out his way to help him . We had the most amazing time. Thanks to a very personal and caring touch.
We loved this place! As soon as you arrive you realise that you will enyoy the stay. The view is stunning and the hosts are so nice that you never want to leave. It is really quiet and peaceful. We were not sure how it would be with two small kids, but they loved it too. The poolarea is great, and so is the restaurant.
Views Rusticated charm Friendliness of everyone
Access road if you are driving
Friendliness of staff together with great food and excellent service. View from room balcony looking at the countryside.
Nothing to say
- Very quite place - Clean - Good value for money - Good Breakfast - Super friendly staff, especially the owner - Family run business
- Quite difficult to reach via a very small and twisting road up the mountain. Better to arrive at the hotel at daylight. Once arrived it is however a very nice quiet little town
The hotel is perfect. We spent the best part of our Sicily trip in this hotel. Especially the owner of the hotel, Vittorio is a great guy and also all the personnel are very nice. The diner also was great. Thank you very much. We will never forget a day we spent in Resort Borgo San Rocco.
We had so much fun with the owner Vittorio and the other guests, cooking and drinking wine. The owner is a charmer and very interesting man with such life experiences. We went for the Sun but it rained and we still had such fun. We will be back my dear Friend.
You need a very small, short car with a strong engine to get there, the road up to the hotel in the village is very steep and narrow, only 1.8m wide but with the right car you 'll manage.
It is a challenge to reach Borgo San Rocco as the village's streets are every narrow but this is something one gets used to - and worth the hassle as the view from the village is breathtaking. Vittorio, the owner, and his staff are incredibly nice people. Rooms are basic, ours didn't even have a window but it didn't matter as we simply kept the door open most of the time we were in in order to not miss the beautiful view. The pool is rather big and quiet (we were there in early September when the hotel was fully booked), snacks are provided at the pool bar. Towels are also provided by the hotel. They are a little short on beach beds and umbrellas. The village is among the most charming I have ever visited. Very quiet, big enough for a nice walk in the evening. There is Bar Vitelli where "The Godfather" was filmed to have a drink in the evening at the village's main square. The restaurant "Dioniso" was our favorite - beautiful view from the terrace, great food and lovely wine. The food at the hotel's restaurant was very good and you are usually joined by Vittorio for a little chat. I also recommend going to Santa Teresa and try one of the fish restaurants there. I do not recommend the hotel to families with small children as there is not much to do to keep them entertained in Savoca. However, it's a drive of 15 minutes to the beach and 40 minutes to Taormina so there's plenty to see and do if you don't mind a little driving.
Very friendly owner and staff. Delicious foods in the restaurant. Comfortable sleeping-bed, amazing view from the room. Peaceful area around the swimming pool and the hotel. We loved it!
This place is amazing including the views and staff.Thank you Vitto for making our trip awesome.
Spectacular location Mountain views Cooking class and lunch provided by owner (this being a bonus!) Friendly staff
Challenging mountain road access
Location and facilities are good. The staff are warm and friendly, always happy to help. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. My comments regarding the pool are only minor issues.
Access to the swimming pool could be better. Facilities available by the pool are unclear and not enough cushions for the sun loungers.
Bedroom a bit on the small side. Not enough mattresses for sun loungers at pool, no shade so they need umbrellas. These two things are essential
It was quiet at night and although we didn't use it the pool area looked really nice and a decent size pool too. The reception area was really smart, cool and comfortable.
The fawlty towers meal on saturday night. Being the only place on the whole holiday who actually charged for WiFi. Understaffed at breakfast. Overpriced. The room was ok, but we had far better for less. I expect it's the price of location. There was a set of 'rules' that inmates had to adhere to.
-the views -the hotel -the staff members -the location -the restaurant -the owner is a very pleasant man, who will make you feel like home.
