Hotel Portamaggiore overlooks the ancient walls of Rome, which date back to the first century. It features an attractive garden where you can relax with a drink from the bar.

Located just 110 yards from Termini Train Station UNA Hotel Roma offers contemporary design and bright interiors, plus a private parking garage and air-conditioned rooms with hardwood floors.
Score from 1276 reviews Excellent
Located just outside the Vatican walls, the Best Western Spring House is a 5-minute walk from Cipro-Musei Vaticani Metro Station. This modern hotel has elegant rooms and free Wi-Fi in public areas.
Score from 629 reviews Very good
Hotel San Valentino is a 2-minute walk from Lepanto Metro Station, on the same line of the Spanish Steps and Roma Termini Train Station.
Score from 767 reviews Very good
location off the beaten tracks in a very lively area with lots of bars and restaurants, mainly frequented by locals. Walking distance to Trastevere and Aventine hill
Hotel maintenance is a bit poor, stayed there 2 years ago, room conditions somehow worsened ... WiFi poor
patio, nightlife nearby
wifi not covering the patio
Rooms were large and clean and personnel was friendly.
Very and modern big room and bathroom. The local market is next door, many options for dining in the neighbourhood. 10 min walk from Piramide Metro station.
The staffs were really helpful.
They were not changing bed sheets .
Staffs were really helpful. Specious, neat and clean interior.
The bed cover was not even changed once in my 7 nights stay...
Quiet part of town, new facilities
No tea and coffee making facilities in the room
The location of hotel is fine. You can reach there by metro (Piramide Statioin) or bus easily. It's close to Termini. Staff is very helpful. You can walk to historic city center in 25-30 minutes along to Trastevere. Nice place.
Breakfast is a disappointment. Only croissant, jam and coffee. Also if you're staying next to main road, the noise coming from nearby restaurant or nightclubs may disturb you.
Clean, modern style room with terrace. Helpful staff with very good English.
It was close to pyramide station. And thats about it. Would not stay here again.
Breakfast was not very great! Just one drink and one croissant. Really? The staff didn't clean our room. Didn't even clear out the garbage. With a toddler than was really hard as babies have dirty diapers! The room was really dirty. I didn't feel like walking barefoot. There was no cutlery in the kitchen! I mean whats the point of giving us a stove and a basin if there are pots or pans?!?! The room was a disappointment. And it got really hot at night but they still hadn't turned on their cooling system so we would sweat a lot during the night time. When we complained they said it was COLD outside. WHich it wasn't! Also, the shower of our room (22) was broken so water leaked everywhere in the toilet! And we couldn't leave the window open as flies were everywhere! WE couldn't even close the window because it was jammed! I am telling you, this hotel was a mistake.
Hotel is in area 'Testaccio', which is away from touristic centre, but beautiful historical and residential part. Only 10min. by bus to centre (pl. Venezia or Vatikan). There are many original restaurants and bars, where many local people come to eat.
It is very noisy over night, because of restaurants and bars. Rooms to street is not recommended.
Restaurants were close by.
Slow Wi Fi, a couple of staff were rude and the breakfast was very basic from the restaurant down stairs.
It was amazing! Me and 3 other guys went to rome for 4 days and the hotel was one of the best bits, we had a pretty large balcony, everything was clean and the staff were very helpful! The nearest metro station is about a 7 minute walk and is literally 2 stops away from the Collesum.
Good sized room
Decor a bit tired, not comfortable walking alone at night in the area
The breakfast, location and service was excellent.
The location was good not far from the metro station.
The hotel was noisy especially at night, the breakfast was small, very sweet and similar every day.
The location was pretty OK. About 1 km to nearest subway station Piramiden, and about 2,5 km to Circus Maximus. We was walking a lot and nearly didn't use the public transport. Hotel was more then OK for the price we payed. The reception was helpfull and friendly. We got our breakfast in the room, the range of dishes was very basic with coffe, fresh croasant, butter, some cokies, chees and juice, but itwas nice to get and its enought to start your day in Rom. Every room has it own little kitchenete, which is nice, så we even cooked our meals in a hotel. Near by hotel you will find a typical local market with fresh vegetables, delicateses some clothes and so on. The prices are much better then in other areas.
The equipment in a kitchen was very to basic. There was no dish soap and cleaning cloth. Kitchen was not that clean as it suppose to be. Windows was not soundpoved enought , so we could hear people talking outside and cars noises. Since our room was faiced to the street with some bars it was a bit enouing,
Good value for your money, helpful staff. Big balcony.
The balcony was empty, not a single chair or table. The balcony slide door did not work properly, it got stuck many times. Dust on surfaces. There is a nice kitchenette but it was useless, because there was so poor equipment. Not a single spoon, fork or knife. One glass was in bathroom!
That the room contained also a little kitchen. Since earlier reviews, the management seems to have improved the equipment of these kitchenettes (though still nothing for washing up, and an unnecessarily complicated microwave). The location suited me just fine (though wouldn't be good for a first time visitor to Rome)
The place wasn't perfect, but no faults sufficiently grave to complain about. Some customers would be put off by the non-traditional lay-out (e.g., reception right in the middle of the hotel, not at the entrance) but you get used to it.
The room was spacious and clean. Good location - easy access to metro and some places are walkable.
Location. Just 20 minute walk to the city centre even with children. All staff are helpful and speaks English well.
A bit noisy on weekend. Drunken guys screaming.
Good VFM, just a bit hard to find your way from the train to the bus station but you can also walk to the hotel, it's about 15min.
Breakfast is "ok" but for the rate it's more than enough
Shady rooms, broken balcony door, poor breakfast, bad cleaning
· Testaccio, very charming area · Good value for money. · Short ride from Trastevere train station, where you catch the train to Fiumicino 8 € p.p., one way. · Kitchenfacilities · Wifi
