Size of the "room" and bathroom. Dusty air conditioner and heater. No insect screen on the window. Unable to open the door to get to the balcony, due that the bed was in the way.
Location, few really good restaurants around, and it's not necessary to include breakfast..rooms clean and interesting decorated.
Sometimes there were problems with wifi.
great location design very clean
announced ( only via e-mail ) about the supplementary fees for late arrival; should be more transparent in terms of real costs
I don't know where to start, but everythingggg about this place was amazing! The girls at the reception are wonderful! They gave us super information about where to eat, take the bus, sightseeing tips etc. The room was clean, had a smart tv, GREAT WiFi and just the interior... AWWW WE LOVED IT! Vintage looking rooms in a street literally around the corner from Colosseo! Supermarket is also a 2 min walk away.. I don't know what to say, except for the fact that we are saving up already for our next trip to Rome (and Barca!.. they have a hotel overthere tooo!). We will be seeing you guys soon! GRAZIE MILLE
Good cleanness, quiet rooms, good location.
the street, enstrance and surroundings are bit scarry
The staff were excellent - they were friendly, personable, made recommendations on where to eat, where to go, made our New Year's eve dinner reservations and even helped us buy online tickets. They made a big difference in the quality of our stay. The place itself is very convenient location-wise, has very comfortable beds and is, in general, in great place to stay for a few days in Rome.
Our stay at Retrome was great. Loved the location and the unique decor of the hotel. The spacious room had a nice comfortable bed. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Our stay in Rome was too short.
The staff Smart TV Comfortable double bed
When we arrived at first we were a little worried as from the outside it doesn't look that nice, but once we were inside we were greeted and given maps of the city, and were informed of the best ways to travel around and how to find the things we wanted to see. The place is an apartment block and I think some of those apartments are where people actually live. Our room was lovely, clean and a good size. Large bed with a memory foam mattress and pillows, which were amazing. The room had air conditioning and a smart TV and Wifi. There is a communal area where you can make tea or coffee, this area is only open to other people staying in the Retrom rooms. It is located very close to the Colosseum and metro station, lots of restaurants to choose from, bars, shops to buy some food and cigarettes, and a few places to get breakfast.
We decided to not pay for the breakfast which Retrome offered, where you have to go to a local breakfast bar to get. Which I thought was strange as it's advertised as a b&b but there isn't actually any breakfast facilities. We used the transport offered by Retrome to get us from the airport which I'm glad we did as otherwise it would have been very difficult to find as it's up a small road with no signs outside or anything so you could easily miss it. But overall I think it's a lovely place to stay and I would go back again.
they giving us a basement apartment , its haunted, we can't sleep well , we not feeling comfort, so disappointed.
Helpful staff but the reception is not 24hours, so in case you are stuck you have to whatsup the staff. Hopefully their response will be fast in case of an emergency. Great Internet connection.
Reception area looked dingy we almost turned back to leave for another accommodation facility.
Fantastic location - very close to the Colosseum and a Metro station plus quite a busy and interesting area with cafes etc. This was a delightful place and the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. There is also an espresso coffee machine in Reception s well as a small coffee machine in the kitchen attached to our room. This place has a retro theme which was effective in creating a homely and pleasant atmosphere.
Bathroom was very small but okay for a short sty.
it's in a fantastic location, near the Colosseum and the park at Domus Aureus, but just away enough from the hustle of the frontline tourist streets. The apartment was really cute, very good value, lovely decor and furniture, great bed, and a nice patio. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area has loads of nice cafes, bars and reataurants and it's easy to get to all the tourist places. We loved it and the kids (8 and 11) loved it.
We stayed four nights and thought it was terrific
Great location, within 100m of the colosseum, metro, and tons more. Quiet street, no issues getting a quiet night rest.
Could be cleaner overall (sheets should be replaced after stains), but nothing to scream about. The smaller room is quite small for the price, but by Rome's generally poor hotel standards in the affordable range, it's on par with the market.
Best price to be 4 blocks from the Colosseum.
Retro style of room decoration.
Great value, clean, friendly, helpful staff, great communication re booking from staff, good free wi if, no surprise add ons to cost, you pay what you book. Proper, working, modern air cons! Fantastic location. Great experience all round, highly recommended!
Small double is small. Not a problem, it is clearly described as such, but some people may find it too small. Bathrooms are small. Again no issue from my pov, but larger people may find it a squeeze.
Excellent hotel very close to the Colosseum. Our apartment had 2 nice double beds, a kitchen, an outdoor courtyard, 60s style and good air conditioning! Clean and comfortable. Helpful receptionist. Nice bar/café nearby. We only stayed for one night but wish we had time for more.
Nothing - even our 15 year old daughter loved it!
Good location, close to Colosseum. Small but very clean room with bathroom. Very friendly and polite personnel. Bottle of wine for our honeymoon))
Close to the colosseum n just walking distance to many other attractions
The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean and comfortable, with perfect decoration! The hotel was close to Coloseum in a peaceful neighborhood!
What a surprise in the middle of what we initially thought a not very nice street . Very wonderful staff. Excellent little apartment. Fantastic location and actually came alive (but not too noisy) at night. We will go back.
It was nice place to stay. A very good localization. Room was very clean.
We had to pay extra fee, for late check in.
