Hotel Rex  

This hotel had a fabulous location right in the heart of Florence. The rooms were great, very clean and spacious, and ours even had a balcony which was great. Breakfast was also lovely.

Good price. Lot of restaurants in the neighbouring streets. A short walk from the railway station, ideal if you plan to get the train to go the Pisa.

Bathroom is quite poor.

There was no internet in the rooms, just in the common areas. The room was a little strange, with a stair inside it.

Excellent location. Helpful staff.

Poor facilities. Breakfast very modest.

A lot of mosquitos in the room in April, I could hardly sleep and woke up totally bited. Очень много комаров в номере, и это в Апреле! Спал отвратительно, проснулся весь искусанный.

excellent location, the furnishing and the room is ok, its basicly what to expect from 3 stars - not luxury, but nice and clean. breakfast was ok, the staff was friendly, overall i was satisfied.

the wifi was quite unstable, but thats it.

The staff were extremely nice and it was 5 minutes from the train station and a block from the Central Market for shopping. Breakfast was the standard for Italy and had a nice room near lobby for relaxing and watching tv.

The bathroom was tight (as were others in Italy) but the shower was slippery. I think because of the tiles used. No view.

Only the location

The person at the reception desk was very unfriendly and curt ( although the ones in the following shifts were more friendly). The room smelt of cigarettes smoke, it was small and poorly decorated with very basic furniture, there were no real windows so it was like a shoe box, the bathroom was really small and did not have an air extractor.The bedside table lights were no working (however I have to say someone came very quickly to repair them). This was not a 3 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. We moved to another one, also 3 stars that was wonderful for which we paid a bit more (25 euros) and there was not comparison between the two in terms of facilities or service.

The location was excellent.

Our room had a very stained and smudgy floor. My side of the bed had a very shabby foam mattress where I had trouble sleeping. Anyone using a mobile during breakfast was asked to "use the internet" only in the lobby area.

I loved the European feel of the hotel. The room was clean and modestly decorated. Its location on a narrow street in the old and beautiful part of Florence was not only convenient, but romantic. I loved the nearby market, cathedrals and street side cages. The locals were friendly. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. I'd give this hotel 10 stars.

Good location, pleasant mood, every day cleaning.

Two people couldn't use the wi-fi at the same time, because it is very slow, and we can use it only at the reception. They aren't generous. My friend couldn't come up to my room to use the toilet. Firstly, it was at night, and they said nobody can go up after midnight. Secondly, it was at afternoon, and they said I paid for only one person, so the room is only for me.

Early evening concierge was very helpful and friendly! Wifi was nice, breakfast was nice.

Wifi only worked in lobby. Breakfast was always busy. Shower was just a drain in the ground which was unusual.

Service was nice and good. Location also.

Breakfast was not very good. Plain Italian breakfast... Cappuccino was brought in a pitcher and was not very good.

Location and free wi-fi were the positives

The beds are just a sponge, not a proper matress. Very outdated in general. Poor breakfast. You only get one room key and each time you leave the hotel you have to leave your key at reception so you can't even come and go as you please without being monitored, had the ambience of a hostel for that reason. One of the staff members at reception gave us completely wrong directions for one of the landmarks thanks to which we lost half a day. Would not stay here again or recommend to friends.

The hotel Rex in Florence was quite close to the train station, just a 5 minute walk away. The staff was very helpful and answered any questions we had. The breakfast was excellent. No TV in our room, but there was one in the common room, where you could also use wireless for free.

Our room was little and "strange". It suited our needs, but the room I'm sure was added out of extra space for it had a very strange shape. The facilities were fine though and we really enjoyed our stay.

Cleanliness or lack thereof of room coupled with very rude owner/management. Room had bed bugs. Sheets had fresh spunk like strains on them when returned to room in the evening. More expensive then cleaner, and more luxurious hotel a few meters away on the same street. Regret booking at this hotel it was the one negative part of my trip to Italy.

Atendimento muito ruim, pois o atendente nao se comunicava nem em italiano nem em ingles. Estrutura e falta de respeito com o hospede, pois havia solicitado quartos sem carpete e fui colocado em um quarto totalmente encarpetado. Banheiro muito ruim, totalmente sem estrutura de um banheiro decente. A minha experiencia foi tao ruim que na mesma noite em que eu cheguei fui em busca de um hotel para trocar. Fiquei uma noite e no dia seguinte troquei de hotel, mas o Rex me obrigou a arcar com mais uma diaria, justificando que era para cobrir comissoes cobradas pelo booking.com. Arquei com o prejuizo para nao comprometer o prazer das minhas ferias. Mas fiquei muito decepcionado com o atendimento do hotel e esperava mais respeito e consideracao.

La posizione

La camera troppo rumorosa e piccola

Naturalmente Firenze e' splendida, ricca di cultura. Al Rex siamo stati solo una notte, ma ci siamo trovati molto bene. La camera era un po vecchia, ma pulita.

Il prezzo di una bottiglietta d'acqua da mezzo litro: euro 1,50!!!!!

Funcionários simpáticos e atenciosos, bom café da manhã, quarto espaçoso e ótima localização.

banheiro poderia ter box, o espaço do chuveiro é muito pequeno (ao menos no quarto que fiquei, 405). pena não ter wi fi nos quartos.

Situation très pratique. Possibilité de tout faire à pied. Accueil à l'hôtel. Réceptionniste parle français et guide pour les sites à visiter.

Propreté très médiocre. Chambre quasiment sans fenêtre. Petit déjeuner trop juste (buffet très limité).

расположение замечательное, все близко. и центральная часть, и вокзал.

ужасно старый номер. такое ощущение, что не было ремонта лет 50. сантехника плохо работает, все течет. номер ужасно маленький, холодильник не работает, бара нет. персонал плохо понимает по английски, два очень стареньких дедушки на ресепшен. мебель в номере почти антикварная. либо на помойку, либо сразу в антиквариат.
