Staff behavior was rude, rules and regulations being similar to a hostel i.e you cannot have a guest over aka no sex, cleanliness did not meet standards, price was high, they did not speak good English. Try getting a different hotel.
Staff were very helpful going the extra mile to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and well equipped for an old building. I would happily stay at this hotel again and properly will in the future.
Good hotel. Centrally located. Good staff. Room didnt smell. Enjoyed our stay here
+ Discount via Hotel Rex for parking around the corner + staff helpfull and very kind + free WiFi + location in center near trainstation
- breakfast facilities, not really buffet
The staff was just excellent. Was always ready to help even outside their remit.
The air con in one of my rooms was not adjustable and the technician was not able to help either. When the night temperature is 26 degrees, it felt like sleeping in a oven!!
The location was great, the hotel is a short walk from the main station (Firenze SM Novella) if you're arriving from Rome. Easy to walk to main areas in Florence, 12 min walk or so to Uffizi Gallery. Staff was welcoming and pleasant, breakfast was OK, better than other hotels I've stayed at in Italy, includes meats, cheese, cereal, and fruit. It has an elevator which is great since I've had to carry luggage up many flights at other hotels. Very Good Value, I would stay there again.
We had a room on the second floor, nice causy street but at night, even with double windows closed, the noise was loud. I didn't want to put ear-plugs because I wanted to hear the alarm the next day. I recommend staying on 3rd floor at least, the noise level would be better I presume.
Bit noisy as our faced street
Basic room that was in walking distance to everything.
Was across the street from an Irish pub and we knew this from other reviews that it could be noisy all night but thought it was an exaggeration, but it wasn't.
Helpful staff, good rooms, comfortable stay
No WiFi in rooms in upper floor Room was a bit small and congested
The location of the hotel is perfect. In the center of everywhere.
Very bad smell in the room. Lots of dust was on the one of the furniture piece. Theyoffered no pillow to the extra bed. A bar at the opposite street, therefore very loud at middle night. The breakfast not so good. Almost the worst coffee i have seen in italy this time.
The location is great, right next door to the Medici Chapel and 10 minutes away from all the sites, Cathedral, academia and so on.
The rooms are very small, no amenities whatsoever, there is no way you can reach the hotel by car if you are driving as the streets are closed to traffic except taxis and business trucks after 09:30 in the morning. You have to lug your suitcases from the nearby garage or wherever you parked. you are travelli
