Hotel Rex  

Staff were on the whole very friendly and helpful. Lots of helpful information was supplied to guests, and free wi-fi worked very well. Nice big bedroom, (but we did pay extra for it!) Lovely roof terrace, which we enjoyed using of an evening.

Breakfast room very cramped and uncomfortable, and the buffet, including plates and coffee, were not replenished quickly enough. There was no shower curtain/screen in the bathroom, which meant that the floor got soaked every time we had a shower. Not as good as the website made it look and sound.

It's very nice location in Roma, and staff are kindness. Room was very silence, we didn't believe the hotel builted near Roma termini station. I stayed 3 years ago alone, it was very good. So this time, I stayed Hotel Rex again, and with my wife.

Location: very close to the railway station and within easy walking distance from tourist attractions such as the Spanish steps or the Victor Emmanuel ii monument.

Bathroom was old and not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel.

Nice hotel, safe and convenient location between Termini and the Opera House. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and clean room. Love the iMacs dotted around the hotel!

Loved everything, the only problem was the bar fridge in the room was warm.

Did not meet our ecpectation of a 4 star hotel. When we were in the room, we had to use the bed to sit on. And this was a superior room.

The Service we received from all the Staff was excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. At all times, we were treated with courtesy and extremely efficient and friendly service. The Staff were very knowledgeble and happy to help with instructions, helpful advice etc. The room was very well furnished with lots of space to store things. The beds were very comfortable - we slept very well - we heard no noise from the hall outside our room (we were on the 2nd floor) Lots of hot water and soft fluffy towels. Great time for Breakfast!! 7.00am to 10.30am!! The location!! 5-10 minutes walk to/from Termini Railway/Bus Station. Just around the corner from Repubblica Metro Station. 20 minutes walk from the Colosseum/Piazza Venezia. Lots of lovely shops/restaurants/bars nearby on the Via Nazionale

We did not like the Breakfast Room. It was down a flight of stairs (not sure if there was a lift) and because of the marble floor & decor and high roof there was a lot of noisy echo from people talking - if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing breakfast - come early!! The breakfast was good and well stocked with lots of lovely pastries/cereal/hams/cheese/juice/crackers etc. The breakfast staff were also efficient and courteous. We also noticed that the carpet in our room (207) could do with a shampoo and the sealant around the shower badly needed replaced. Also, do not use the "welcome" pack containing teabags/coffee/milk next to the kettle - it costs 3 Euros!! Overall, the Hotel Rex is an excellent hotel in an excellent area of Rome.

Very basic, you get what you pay for, great location.

We got a photocopy of the front page of our national newspaper under our door each morning, very nice touch. The staff were very helpful and booked some tours for us and also recommended places to eat. If you are tired of touring around there is a playstation in the room and a considerable selection of dvds that you can select from however as we were in Rome for just 4 days we didn't even turn on the TV :)

The staff was there to answer any and all questions. The facilities were outstanding and well worth the cost. The location was great and with the map provided most attractions were within walking distance. I would heartily recommend the Hotel Rex to anyone visiting Rome.

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. One small complaint about the bed's being too soft was immediately rectified by putting a board under the mattress. Breakfast was excellent and, again, the servers were very pleasant and obliging. WiFi was available at no charge in the room and worked well.

The rooms were clean and very attractively decorated but the walls, etc were in need of some repair and paint. A small upgrade in this respect would add another star to the hotel's classification.

Breakfast room and breakfast choice, the fact that the kettle kit is not included in the room price, it is not at all a matter of money since it is only 1.50 euro but it is written nowhere that it is not included and on the bag there is written "just for you" as on the biscuits, making guests think that it is for free. And I think that a 4 stars hotel can allow to offer a cup of tea to his guests... We were very happy with the hotel till when they asked for the kettle kit when we left...it left us with really a bad taste of the hotel at the end of our staying... And this only to gain 1.50 euro...

It was a wonderful hotel for our family. They were extremely accommodating of children, with a play room, wifi, and even a stuffed animal upon check-in. We loved it.
