Location is the reason to choose this hotel. It is right next to the Rialto Bridge, I didn't spend much effort to find the hotel. We stayed at Level 4 but the lift only goes up to Level 2, so we have to carry our bags etc to 4th Floor.

The hotel is located amidst teeming crowds of lowlives on the Rialto bridge. Very noisy day and night. Very central location for walking and vaporettos. Hotel was very rigid and would not let us leave a day early even though we had stayed an extra day early. I have never encountered this in 40+ years of travel. After I complained to Bookings.com and the nice woman we spoke to called them they still refused. When I told them that I would write a review of their hotel they finally relented and let us go a day early after five days. I recommend strongly against staying at this hotel! The vaporetto system in Venice is so good and so reasonably priced that it would have been much better for us to have stayed in a quiet lower priced location. Fwg 102311 The only good thing about the hotel was the nice girl who served us breakfast.

Situation was the main plus of this hotel.Panorama area very good. Lack of a lift - we had to climb 78 steps tp the bedroom-thankfully fit and healthy but could have been a nightmare for elderly travellers.Lack of a hotel bar but can understand that it was not that class of hotel and also close to many bars in rialto area.Breakfast was just ok.Coffee dreadful.

Location was fantastic, central for all the tourist attractions in Venice. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We fused the lights in the room one evening and the staff sorted it within 5 minutes. The room was big enough and comfortable, but I was a little disappointed with it. I booked a junior suite and expected it to be a little bigger, with a seperate sitting area. Also the bathroom was very small and basic. In the room description we were supposed to get bathrobes and slippers. The staff looked surprised when I brought this up but they did provide a robe for my wife, which we were happy with.

We liked the location and being in the hustle and bustle of Venice, it was pleasant to site outside having breakfast and watching the City come alive. We felt that a hotel with this location should at least be able to offer its guests drinks be it tea, coffee or alcohol. Next to the hotel there were a couple of cafes/bars but this isn't the same as siting in a lounge area enjoying a drink with friends or fellow guests. The hotel does have a small terrace but you have to purchase a bottle of wine from a shop together with glasses as both bars adjoining the hotel would not sell us wine and let us take glasses up to the terrace. Without the terrace are and should it have been raining we would only have used the hotel for sleeping and having breakfast. Those are the facilities you would get in a b & b not a 4 star hotel. Time for an internal make over I think.

I liked the location near Rialto. The breakfast also was ok. The rooms was tiny and ugly. I paid for a junior suite and the room was a baed with a table and two chairs in the corner. Not a good value for our money. The ac didn't work properly and the front desk staff was curt and not very friendly.

Hotel Rialto is right on the spot where we wanted to go. It's in the heart of Venice. The hotel is just right by the waters (canal). We always sat at the table by the foot of Rialto Bridge and enjoyed the drinks, watching the water, the Gondolas, without ever worrying of walking too far back to the hotel and race with the people walking everywhere because the hotel is just right beside the canal, right beside Rialto Bridge. We read reviews of other hotels we looked at before going and most of the reviews were saying that in their rooms you can hear the hustling and bustling noises from outside. Anticipating we will experience the same thing in this hotel, however, it was quiet. We had a good sleep. The hotel desk clerks were courteous and nice and even walked us to the water taxi. A fascinating and romantic city like Venice and having a comfortable stay at Hotel Rialto, made our short visit for our wedding anniversary, spectacularly unforgettable one. The first morning when we got there, we called the front desk to fix our vault for it was not working. Then the bell boy came and just opened our room without knocking. Another thing was, some of the breakfast crew won't even smile at you and/or greet you at least to perk up your morning. Even if you talk to them with a smile and ask for something, they will just give you a straight face, except for that long blonde hair lady. All these are just slight reasons and not really a big of an issue to some clients like us. Hence, small details like these also helps improve the standards of your service.

We booked the Junior Suite with a Canal view and it was a fantastic view. It was wonderfull to open your balconey door and watch the canal activity anytime of the day or night. We looked directly down the canal and were higher up than people standing on the Rialto Bridge. We decided to make this our big spend hotel and we are very glad that we did. No difficulty finding home after a day wandering around the streets of Venice. Because you're right where the Vaparetto stop is you get a little noice late at night (stops at midnight) and early morning 6.00am from workers on the canal - but that is all part of visiting a city so I wouldn't really worry about it unless you have a low tollerance of noice.

Location, right on the Grand Canal at the Rialto Bridge, vibrant part of town. Couldn't cool the room down. The day before they turned off the a/c and turned on the heat. Can't have both apparently. Opened window but very noisy resturant in adjacent building, very noisy. Adjacent bldg had 8 foot neon light which kept our room like daylight all night. Very small room.

The location is absolutely first rate. You are not 100 ft from the water taxi drop off and pick up and right by one of the most beautiful bridges in Venice. The 72 stairs to our attic room. You didn't want to forget anything in your room because it was quite a hike up and down and the elevator only went to the first floor.

The hotel location is perfect, just beside Rialto bridge and not far from St. Mark´s cathedral. The hotel does not offer free Wi-Fi and also if you want a hot breakfast (like scramble eggs, etc) you have to pay an extra charge. On the other hand the hotel offers the possibility to take you for free to the Murano Island to visit a glass factory, but once you are there the factory staff will try to sell their products. Even buying something, they won´t give you the chance to leave you around murano. So if you want to visit this island, do it by yourself...

The hotel is situated in a prime position, right by the Rialto bridge. We had a side room so it was very peaceful. I was told by another couple who had a front room that it was noisy in the early hours of the morning. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast was available until 10:30 which was great for us as it meant we could take time getting ready, especially after late romantic evenings. Venice in late October was beautiful, slightly chilly but blue skies and sunshine, perfect for sipping Aperol Spritzers outside the hotel and watching the gondolas and boats go by. Enjoy.

Very little.Other than the location there were no positive aspects to this hotel. Checked web site to ensure the hotel had a lift. They failed to state that the lift to some rooms only went to the first floor, then you needed to tackle two floors of steep narrow stairs with heavy cases. The rooms were in need of refurbishment with walls stained and carpet bare in patches.

The location was it's best quality. You walk out and are on the Rialto Bridge. The staff were friendly and the room was good. Breakfast was only fair. Breakfast was only average. For the price I would think you'd get better and fresher food.

View of Grand Canal First floor room far too noisy, did not sleep all night. No value for what we paid, room very tired and dirty looking. Sheets although laundered were very itchy and we scratched all night. I think we could have gotten far more value for our money.
