Built in 1908, the Saturnia & International is an elegant hotel run by the Serandrei family, located 215 yards from St Mark’s Square.
Score from 441 reviews Very good
Just 215 yards from Saint Mark's Square, the Ca' dei Conti is an 18th-century Venetian residence, reached by bridge over a small canal. It features a charming roof terrace and elegant rooms.
Score from 291 reviews Very good
With panoramic views of the Grand Canal, Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli dates back to the 16th century. Saint Mark's Square is just 2 stops away on the water bus.
Score from 276 reviews Excellent
Opened in 1308, the Albergo Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo is one of the oldest hotels in Venice. It is set right behind St. Mark's Square, and features elegant rooms and a private pier.

Location -- for access to both major sites as well as water taxi. Good size rooms. Accommodating staff.
Very hard pillows and mattress. Extremely long walk to room from lobby, with many flights of steps.
The outside restaurant next door to the hotel is just awful.
travel advice by desk staff
Bathroom was inadequate. Hand held shower head, a little hard to maneuver. Our room was so far away we almost needed crumbs to find it.
The responce of staff was fast and they were polite.
Wi Fi speed was poor and there was no coffee maker in the room.
Location right next to Rialto Bridge. Really handy for all the water buses to various places and less than 10 mins walk to St Marks Square.
One of the Reception staff was extremely rude... He obviously thought his current position was beneath him. Rest of staff were great.
Excellent location, nice buffet breakfeast and good location. Hotel provides transportation to Murano, however, you are on your own getting back.
Rooms needed updating. Room was relatively large but was only sparsely furnished. Room had a tub with hand held shower hose - not fixed overhead shower.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Water taxi from Marco Polo airport drops you right in front of the hotel
Wifi was really bad. Dropped out every few minutes which was very annoying and the staff on front desk could be more friendly and helpful.
breakfast delicious view great beds large and comfortable staff friendly and efficient
no tea/coffee facility in room
floors walking distance
Fantastic position right next to Rialto bridge, large comfortable room
Hard bed and pillows ;(
Location is good.
I am always suprising with the rooms ,which I booked with booking.com .It seems like you are getting a price advantage while booking at booking.com but this is absulutely a game because hotel is giving you the worst rooms in the buildings. This always happens and you have to try to change room after discussing with front dest after a long travel time when you are so tired... This is not nice...
Location, location, location--restaurant attached was very good. Loved the breakfasts.
Small room, very small bathroom, the very bad restroom in the lobby.
Great location right by the Rialto Bridge, clean room, and cool porch that overlooks the Grand Canal.
Breakfast could be a little bit better. Our room looked towards the alleyway and another building ... wished we had a canal view.
The position and the view of the Rialto Bridge from the room
We enjoyed 3 nights in a corner suite room with windows opening out to the Grand Canal in front and the Rialto bridge to the side. It was the most magical and at times surreal experience to be sipping wine at our window whilst seeing, hearing and feeling the vibe of Venice around us. Our stay coincided with the annual historical Regatta, which meant we enjoyed 'the best seats in the house' of this amazing spectacle of decorated gondolas and local teams competing on our doorstep down the Grand Canal. The location, although busy during the day and early evening became quiet and mystical throughout the night. If you want to have a memory of Venice that goes beyond the endless shops, stay at this Hotel (room 121) and watch the moods of this enchanting city unfold.
It was perfect for the unique experience it gave us.
Best location in Venice! Extremely friendly helpful staff.
The coffee at breakfast was not a patch on all the local cafes. No other complaints at all.
This hotel has a perfect location & my single room had a perfect view over the Grand Canal. The shower is very small. It has a perfect location & within walking distance to all the attractions, The water taxi stop almost infront of the hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful and speaks English.
Can't think of a thing i would change! WONDERFUL!
Central location, close to the Rialto Bridge. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Be careful when getting a Grand Canal view, as they power wash the streets around 2am, and people talk loudly in front of the hotel literally all night. We got very little sleep in our Canal-facing room.
We really enjoyed it. Staff was amazingly helpful. Rooms have old world charm complete with Murano chandelier, like 16th century nobility yet with all the modern conveniences. The hotel has a nice panorama terrace as well overlooking the bridge if you don't have a room with a bridge view. Water bus and gondolas right outside. Plenty of restaurants as well. It is busy and crowed of course, but we found it to be no problem. Clean, well kept, and … what a view.
Get out and enjoy Venice, because you are not going to have any internet connection to speak of outside of the lobby.
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, we loved everything about location, staff, and food.
Beautiful character and charm, just the type of intimate hotel you see and think about when you think of Venice!!!
staff was pleasant and helpful location - especially for first time experience
The staff were excellent, location awesome!!
Breakfast was ordinary, only having one selection of coffee (American style) was very disappointing. Food was often cold.
