Hotel Rifugio Prategiano  

Location close to Montieri - I wanted to revisit an area I had previously spent time in 12 years previously.

Very old fashioned- 70s decor and a bit alpine ski resort in style

We had a wonderful time here. The best 3 days of our holiday around italy. The hotel is very quaint and is in the mountains of Tuscany. Beautiful views from ur window and everywhere else. The people were lovely and made guests feel like family. But the best thing were the activities. You could relax by the pool, play a game of ping pong, go horse riding, archery, a ride on quad bikes or just a stroll in the mountains or to the nearby village (all of which we did). And its definitely worth booking half board. The dinners were delicious, a four course meal--five stars for food!!!

Great location in the beautiful countryside. Wonderful horse rides in the hills. Very nice "retreat" for a couple of days. Friendly staff.

This is a 3* hotel but the food service is 2*. We had dinner one night - not to be recommended. Very poor quality. They need to upgrade their entire food service operation. Impossible to order drinks or food at the pool area.

Cet agroturismo offre à tous les amoureux de la nature, des chevaux et de l'Italie un cadre exceptionnel et un accueil convivial et sympathique. Son nom de refuge est parfaitement trouvé, permettant de se ressourcer de la vie trépidente au coeur d'une région regorgeant de richesses culturelles, gastronomiques et historiques.

Anfang April war das Klima noch kühl. Mai, Juni müssen super sein..

Montieri und damit das Hotel Prategiano sind insbesondere für Leute geeignet, die sportlich aktiv sein wollen (reiten, radfahren). Als Start-/Endpunkt für Autofahrten in die Umgebung - u.E. im Umkreius bis Siena und an die Küste - ist es ebenfalls geeignet, falls man überwiegend kurvenreiche Straßen mag. Mag sein, daß bei wärmerem Wetter unsere Beschreibung etwas anders ausfallen würde, da um den Pool große Liegen (Auflagen haben wir keine gesehen) stehen, auf denen man vermutlich auch einfach ausspannen kann. Das Hotel liegt außerhalb von Montieri in einer besonders aussichstreichen Lage. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser zweites Zimmer (im Poolbereich) war angenehm groß und hatte ein modernes Bad (mit Bidet). Internet/WLAN ist kostenlos auch in den Zimmern empfangbar (zeitweise mit schwacher Leistung).

Aus den Hotelbewertungen zwar schon bekannt, so ist die Essenauswahl doch recht eingeschränkt. In Montieri selbst gibt es alternativ eine Pizzeria. Für Reisende, die wissen, was sie erwartet, ist das Hotel Prategiano empfehlenswert - aber nur dann.

Единственное, что мне не понравилось, что за все время пребывания (7 дней) нам ни разу не сменили полотенца

Mi e' piaciuta la posizione del albergo molto silenzioso e rilassante, lo staff veramente gentile . Per chi e' in cerca di tranquillita e di relax , questo e' l'ideale.

Purtroppo l'orario della colazione e solo dalle 08:00 in poi. Per chi deve uscire prima tocca arangiarsi. Se qualcuno pensa di andare in discoteca deve farsi almeno 40 o 50 Km. In macchina. Diciamo che oltre al relax la tranquillita e la gastronomia la zona nei intorni non offre molto" per I giovani."

Bel panorama, si sta tranquilli. Bel maneggio. In un certo senso é un rifugio di montagna.

Ero in una camera al iii piano senza ascensore e nel bagno non c'era il bidet (fondamentale)

Herzliche Begrüßung, super Panorama im Garten und auf der Barterrasse, Ausritt auch für ungeübte Reiter wie uns.

Leider war kein Zimmer mit Blick ins Tals frei

...es gab die Möglichkeit sich Tee zu kochen im Zimmer.

... das Restaurant war mehr Jugendherbergsstil; sehr einfach. Die Decken im Bett hatten den Stil von Pferdedecken, sehr rustikal; das Bad in die Jahre gekommen, die Handtücher sehr kratzig (kein Weichspüler und sie rochen nach Küche). Etwas hellhörig; aber für den Preis ......

Il cibo è ottimo e abbondante, con qualche specialità toscana nel menù.

L'hotel soprattutto nella zona camere è da ristrutturare, la posizione non è il massimo.
