Breakfast- good variety of food
If Breakfast can be served earlier
Good Wi Fi. Staff are helpful as we encountered a problem of air conditioner, he did try everything to make it functioning better. Location is about 20 minutes to tourist attractions. I would come back again.
Almost surprisingly good hotel, in all respects.
Excellent location for rail and especially bus travelers (bus terminal just across the street), however the city center and main sights are rather far away and not so friendly to be reached by foot. City buses should be recommended (this is more of an advice, not a critic).
A great hotel, good service. Rigel booking a hotel, definitely be happy.
close to Catania railway station, 24/7 front desk
Wi-Fi not very reliable cutting out during use.
An absolute little oasis in Sicily. A lovely room and great staff. AND the wifi actually works, and works well!! Very convenient for buses and trains.
Couldn't fault it.
Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and staff were pleasant and helpful. We only stayed one night on our way to the airport, so the location to get out of Catania was perfect as we did not have to battle the early morning city centre traffic and we got to the airport in 15 mins. Breakfast was continental, with a good choice of fresh pastries.
If we had stayed longer the location would have been an issue as the centre (Via Etnea etc) is a good 25 mins walk away.
the breakfast, though it was standard, was very good and always fresh. a very good variety to choose from, for breakfast. the staff where very gentle and easy to talk to.
internet connection wasn't always good. not always had good connection in the room. the tv stations weren't so good either.
Nice and clean. Everything was good. Thank you.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Rigel. The staff was exceptionally professional and really treated me well!!! It has a great breakfast and the room was wonderful!! Good location if you are using the train or bus. I should have stayed longer!
The location near the bus terminal and the rail station, 24-h desk, nice and clean room, friendly staff. The best solution for overnight for traveling in Sicilia.
The artistic style both in the rooms and the courtyard. Having an outside area to relax and have breakfast. The breakfast. The very good and quick lift. Having a stylish hotel near the train and bus station.
Room and shower was very spacious and clean. courteous staff. Good breakfast.
This hotel is ideally located if you plan to stay in catania & just do day trips to visit the other towns like Siracusa, Mt Etna & Taormina. The hotel is about 20m from the regional & international bus depots and 150m from the central train station & local bus station. The hotel staff are very accommodating & friendly especially Danillo who works the night shift & who speaks English the best. Breakfast was adequate with a variety of savoury & sweet options.
No wifi access from the room & the outdoor terrace was quite poorly ventilated.
The location is good if you need to get to the train station or catch an early bus. Catania was just a one-day deal for me. The Alibus that goes to the airport stops right in front of the hotel (the 7 A.M. bus did not show up...), so you might want to check into the Interbus/Etna bus service. (The Catania airport is a nightmare, so book a noon-er flight, but get there early.) Ac worked great. Balcony was nice.
There were ants in the bathroom. Breakfast didn't start until 7.30, so that's out if you're an early bird. The area is pretty dang sketchy. I walked down a main street (not the big one that the train station is on, but one or two over) to hit the sights, and the street reminded me of skid row in Southside Chicago! Then, walking back after dark, only about one or two side streets over from the hotel seems to be a very poor, immigrant area. No one bothered me, but it's also about how you carry yourself. Of course, this isn't the hotel's problem, but you should know this--especially if you are a solo female traveler.
Very close to the train station and bus depot. Friendly and helpful staff.
