The staff, the pool and general facilities
Location Staff Pool
Good location, 1/2 hour walk to old town. Friendly, helpful staff. We were in a studio in next building which seemed a little deserted but it was perfectly clean and very quiet at night time. Room and bathroom were fresh and seemed newly decorated.
Bit of a smell from the toilet, plumbing issue? We were not asked on check out how our stay was and if everything was ok.
The swimming pool was great!
The breakfast options were poor The air con in the room made a great noise impossible to sleep Wifi was shockingly poor - need to do better!
We liked the location as it was close to the nice beaches of Alghero and an easy 15-20 minute walk into ge gorgeous old town. It was next to a supermarket and accessible by the airport bus and Alghero train station.
Hotel is quite expensive for what you get - very basic room that is very basic. Not Value for money. Ok pool area and wifi annoyingly only works in the main reception and was very slow/temperamental.
friendly staff, good location (20 min walk to city centre and 15 to the Maria Pia beach) and nice breakfast ! An extra plus for the super service minded Giovanni in the reception!
not the most comfortable beds
The staff were very helpful about giving information about the city. The two good beaches are walking distance. The bus stop is right infront of the hotel. There is a supermarket just across the street.
There is no internet in the rooms. The towels in the room were dirty and they didn't renew the shampoo etc. so basically room service.
Pool and location
Self-catering acc was poor
As it's the case in most hotels there were not enough deckchairs by the pool which is understandable and fully okay. However a lot of the guest showed no consideration and 'reserved' chairs with their towels for hours without using them, and thereby the chairs were not free for others. While the staff can of course not be held accountable for the bad behaviour of guests it would have been good, had they observed the chairs and moved the towels
close to the beach and local supermarket with fresh fruits
no kettle available in the hotel
very close to beach, the old town within 15 to 20 mins walk hotel staff were excellent.
breakfast was a poor reflection of itilian food. rooms need to be updated
Good location, if you have a car. Close to the nice beach Lazzaretto (6 km). It takes about 30-40 min to walk to the old town.
The room was boring, no cosy feeling at all. The bed was horrible to sleep in. Expensive!
All the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean and smart. The staff were impressive with their range of languages. The hotel location was across the road from the supermarket and just 5 minutes walk from a lovely beach.
Although the chef was willing to cook a vegetarian dinner for my wife and daughter the meal was a disappointment...just some slices of grilled vegetables.
It was v clean, v quiet and the shop was close.
The Bar staff were not very friendly, I was told one night that they had stopped serving wine at this time and the world cup match was still on. So I went elsewhere. Not Good when your staying there.
Location was great. Breakfast was good.
No wifi in rooms; room was separate from actual hotel
Clean rooms, good choice for this price.
We had family room without balcony, but we are traveling as a couple. Beach close to the hotel is not a best choice, better visit other ones near by. Hotel needs some renovations. Time of walking to city center is about 30 mins.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The extra bed mattresses in the 1 bed apartment need replacing. Sagging in the midddle.
It was a good hotel and we were very pleased with the staff, location and the room. We lived in a studio with a pentry and a balcony. Close to Lido beach and 20-25 minutes walk to the Maria Pia beach and the old Town in Alghero. Supermarket on the other side of the street, and also one great gelateria on the same street. We recommend it!
Everything was good, the only small complain was that the WIFi didn't work sometimes. Otherwise a very good hotel.
Staff is very frendly
Lido beach. Maria Pia is better.
Reasonable hotel, rooms are not big but OK.
Realy small TV, hard chairs at the pool and breakfast time is to early and in a small timeframe so therefore much to crowdy.
Excellent customer service, staff very friendly and helped with any requests we had. Great breakfast - loads to chose from. Excellent location, very close to the beach.
Internet was not working at all, couldn't connect to laptop. Seem to be working on phone/tablet but was extremely slow and impossible to use. Cleanness OK however could see so much dust under the bed and floor were not entirely clean after cleaner left. 2EUR charge for pool towel - weren't very happy with that as well.
Excellent location and staff very friendly
One thing we did'nt like was not having a balcony
Balcony and swimming pool were great
Bit away from town centre but handy for beach
It was next to a beach with bars and restaurants nearby! (but far from town centre, where all the buses and trains go to) Nice location for a relaxing getaway. Very clean and comfortable.
Wifi free in lobby only. No Wifi or any form or internet in rooms. Apartment rooms are located on a separate building, which means we had to take a short walk to get to the lobby just for the internet. Very inconvenient too if u had a group of friends and you stay separately.
