It is a small reasonably hotel in the picturesque community of Stresa, Italy It was very comfortable and the staff most accomodating. The hotel restaurant had a good memu and excellent service. I strongly recommend this small hotel and restaurant. While you had to pay for parking, it was close at hand in a public parking lot.

The interior of the room was ok. Comfortable beds. Good bathroom. Perfect location in Stresa. (Free public parking behind the hotel. Sometimes you have to be patient to find an emty place.) The staff was extremly nice, and english-speaking. Breakfast with some surprising items. (Fresh fruits)

Our room had a view to a wall 3 meters away. It was very overpriced. You can find rooms nearby with both balcony and better view to the same or lower price. (Or choose Villa Mon Toc, 800 meters out of centre.) Coffee tasted awful. (Perhaps Italian taste?)

Perfect location in the heart of picturesque stresa. A nice, warm, home feel like hotel, 2 minutes from the ferry wharf. The lady owner was very helpful, welcoming and waited for us as we arrived at 23:30.

Very good location - close to the lake and pier, at the same time in a quiet place.Solid and tasty breakfast, good dinner- a la carte menu for 15 euro only (dorada, soup, dessert)

The Family Bolongaro who have owned this hotel since 1958 are doing a great job, father and son produce wonderfull dinners from the kitchen while Mrs Bolongaro is a great hostess. We arrived after 10pm thanks to a flight delay and were warmley welcomed and fed. We departed aat 6am and were given a packed breakfast the also served as a lunch. In between we were looked after very well. The hotel has a huge advantage in that it fronts onto a cobbled lane near a busy square in the heart of the semi pedestrianised area but has a rear entrance to a car park. Dining at the hotel is an experience not to be missed and the buffet breakfasts are substantial. The competent friendly staff are a great asset and enhance the holiday, the family speak English and other member ability vary but all are helpfull.

The Staff was very friendly. Carla, Josephine and Natalie especially. We had the Half board tourist menu and the food was savory and appealing and the portions were very generous. The Primo courses were a meal in themselves.

Pillows were hard.

The staff was really pleasant. I had to stay one night less, and they canceled it with no further discussion.

The people who ran/owned the hotel plus the staff were the friendliest we have ever come across and we were travelling across Europe staying in 7 different countries so lots of experiences of hotels/guest houses. We were very very fortunate that we had the only airconditioned room in the hotel and because of the unbearble heat we had been coping with over the previous 14 days, 104f at one point, we were in heaven. The location again was excellent and parking next door. A lift wonderful. A lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place.

If I wanted to be very very picky I would say the bed could have been a little more comfortable but I had a good night's sleep.

very convenient location : walking distance from the warf and a 10 minutes walk to the train station. In the middle of the town with a wide choice of restaurants. Excellent value for money and friendly patrons.

Location, centre of Stresa. Well run with very personable family as hosts. Food, very good value menu for dinner. Very good selection at breakfast.

Small point but not great frozen chips let rest of food down however my wife's, boiled potatoes were excellent.

We found this hotel via booking.com: right location, good price, excellent evaluation. In our experience, it deserves 9/10. The location suited us perfectly, close to train, boat and bus, and also close to the lively town centre. The Bolongaro family gave us a warm welcome and went the extra mile to make us feel at home. Spacious room, everything in working order, spotlessly clean, fresh towels every day. The fairly reasonable price allows you to stay in an otherwise quite expensive region. Highly recommended.

Breakfast buffet is quite good with fresh fruit, cakes e.g. but the bread and croissants could be better, especially because we woke up with the smell of the warm bakery nearby in the morning...

We both enjoyed the evening meals, and the breakfast was satisfactory too. Half board was good value and didn't require us to stay multiple days like many hotels. We were able to park in the small but free public car park behind the hotel. The staff were friendly and obliging.

I was very impressed with the location which is right in the heart of Stresa and only a 2 minute stroll from the lake. The Hotel was spotless and provided a great breakfast The owner was very friendly and spoke good English which made things a lot easier. Stresa is a beautiful place and I would not hesitate visiting again and staying longer. Highly recommend this Hotel if you are looking for good value and authentic Italian hospitality.

Really an outstanding stay. Having travelled worldwide and stayed in all kinds of hotels for the past more than fifty years, we found this very special.. A busy family hotel/restaurant. When our car key was lost outside the hotel, the help from the owner's son was outstanding. Just don't expect to be overwhelmed. There are a lot of local diners but you are assured a reserved table.

In the center of town and very comfortable. Great staff.
