Hotel Ristorante Sogno  

A smart, clean and elegant hotel in a superb position at the edge of lake. Pretty gardens. Friendly staff. We called for a pickup from Desenzano Rail Station which arrived promptly and on leaving delivered to Verona airport spot on time

Having chosen this hotel influenced by reviews commenting its excellent cuisine we were disappointed by the brevity of the a la carte menu. Choices were further limited as many of the dishes were only offered as an option for two. The menu also remained the same every day, and as a direct consequence we only dined 3 of our 6 nights in the hotel. Fortunately San Felice is only a kilometre away, 15 min walk, offering further variety of dining. The restaurant offers a good selection on the wine list and the wines we had were excellent and good value - far better than we had at the wine bar in San Felice. I found the pillows and mattress a little on the hard side. Never discovered who was the manager. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and wish them well.

My husband and I were completely blown away by this family-run lakeside hotel and restaurant...we booked for 1 night but stayed for 4. With fewer than 20 rooms, it is the quintessential boutique hotel experience with super friendly staff and service, but with the look and feel of a luxury hotel. If you have the money, we highly recommend splurging on one of the 4 lakeview suites. We spent 2 nights in the Aria suite and could not have been happier: it has a private balcony, stunning views of Lago di Garda, super high ceilings, a personal dry sauna in the enormous bathroom, a very comfortable king bed, beautiful hardwood floors, and elegant minimalist decor. We also stayed 2 nights in a regular gardenview room and it was definitely nice, but did not begin to compare with the suite, which costs 2-3 times that of a regular garden-facing room (for good reason). We were also pleasantly surprised by the intense quality of the restaurant (amazing seafood and homemade pasta, and the best local wine and olive oil we've ever tasted). The quality and variety of the breakfast included in the price of the room was the best of any 'breakfast included' deal we've seen. Two huge thumbs up for Hotel Ristorante Sogno!

The only suggestion we would offer the hotel – and this is minor compared to all the incredibly great things about it – is to consider hiring additional summer help during the high-high season of August when the hotel and restaurant are completely booked. That way everyone working there can focus and come across as relaxed (even if they’re working hard).

Sa situation au bord du lac, so cadre, sa décoration intérieure de très bon goût, son calme, ses terrasses etc ....

Personale molto cordiale e disponibilissimo a soddisfare tutte le nostre richieste/esigenze, considerando anche il fatto che soggiornava con noi, la nostra bimba di 3 anni.

Das Essen, die Lage, einfach gesagt ein sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Service! Gebuchtes Zimmer jedoch erst auf Nachfrage bekommen.

das sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende aber dennoch zurück haltende Personal. Das Hotel scheint Failien geführt zu sein. Man merkt, dass sich alle Familienmitgleider kümmern.

die Duschen in der Badewanne sind zu klein. Durch Whirlpool- und Massagefunktionen wird sehr viel Platz geopfert. Duschen ist leider gar kiein Vergnügen, da viel zu eng.

Der Service ist hervorragend, die Reception macht alles um den Kunden zufrieden zu stellen. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und Sauber. Es ist direkt am See und sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Beautifully situated on lake Garda, luxuiours rooms and freindly service. Great place to relax all day in the sun.

..abgelegen...man braucht einen fahrbaren Untersatz, um zum nächsten Restaurant zu kommen!

Schönes Hotel, direkt am See. Mit ein wenig Beherrschung kann man während des Aufenthaltes ganz auf das Auto verzichten. Das Essen im Restaurant ist traumhaft!
