Hotel Rita Major  

The price was very low, the room was clean and reasonably comfortable, breakfast OK and very typical, the staff was friendly. I slept well and checked out in the morning as planned. Perfect stay, in other words :)

A word of advice: in the summer you may want to check if you room has air conditioning. Mine didn't (but the weather wasn't hot anyway).

Right beside the city center -- no problems with parking and no problems to get to the center. Stuff is really nice and helpful. Strange breakfast with no meat. All clean but not new.

The breakfast was on the cheap and the same every day, we had much much better in other hotels in venice on same trip.

There is a pizzeria right next door that was very good,just be prepared to wait until 7:30 for it to open for dinner. There's also a nice park around the corner that our kids enjoyed. We were able to walk to all the main sites.

The internet was only available in the lobby area so that was a bit inconvenient. We didn't get a very good night's sleep because the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and there was a lot of road noise. The parking garage the hotel uses is a 10 minute walk away and it costs 15 Euro for 24 hours. The free breakfast consisted of one croissant each, a basket of rolls, and juice/coffee.

Convenient location. Nothing comparable at this price. Relatively easy to drive in and out upon check in and check out. Peaceful and quite garden - only if you are lucky to get a back-yard facing room.

Breakfast - orange juice, rolls, jam, yogurt, croissant, coffee/tea. Not possible to get more rolls. Extra charge for coffee refill. No option to get a decent breakfast outside of the hotel. Location is still a little bit far away from the center - about 20-30 min. walking.

The staff were sensational. Friendly and very helpful, they were able to organise all we required - except a solution to the noise problems. Location too was very good. Breakfast was satisfactory - not a great range, but good for hotels in this price range.

The street noise in our room was absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. The room was at ground level on the street front and the windows did not seal effectively. It was dreadful but could not be changed. After the first night, we were close to leaving, but decided to stick it out. After three nights, we were pretty exhausted, but Florence"s sights made it reasonable worthwhile.

The personal of the hotel is very nice. You can speak english and spanish in a very fluent way. It is not located in the center of the city, but you are at 200 or 300 meters of the Underground (Metro) and you can reach the "Vatican" or the "Fontanna di Trevi" in some minutos. The hotel doesn't have cars park, but you can leave your car on the street for free. Anyway, if you want to be sure your car is in a safe place, you can pay for a garage in front of the hotel. There is Wifi Internet connexion for free in the rooms, do you can organize your trip the night before if you want. :-)

Hotel is located close to the center and shops, but quite far from main railway station, which is compensated by direct buses- which services are recommendable. The nicest stuff prepare for a breakfast everyday cappucino :) Hotel is old (it has some awards from 80's), but cleaner that many new ones!

Unfortunatelly is very noicy- we get a room with street view, and all day traffic is substantial. Although I'm quite convince that is not a fault of hotel but a specific of streets which are not maked for big traffic ( in Archeological Muzeum you can experience even building movement).

This is in a residential area which is quiet and pleasant. It is not near the center in spite of the advertisement. It is very near the ring road surrounding Florence but that should not deter the tourist since there is good bus service.

I was really disappointed. This hotel needs to be refurbished since 20 years. I am not going to recommend to anyone

Nice bubget hotel near the the city center. Clean and confortable. If you are looking for a nice place just to sleep and visit the city, that´s a good option.

The best thing is very nice pizzeria near the hotel and hotel's garden.

Our rooms was on the roadside, so it was too much noise. So it,s better to book rooms with window in the garden/ Also the walls of room seemed to be made from carton. When someone going in corridor you can hear it as he is in your room.
