I travelled to San Vincenzo for sailing.
I travelled to San Vincenzo for sailing. Given the relatively large marina and the geographical location close to Elba and Isola Capraia, Vincenzo is a great starting point for a sailing holiday. Beyond that, the city also offers some interesting sightseeing and a nice old city centre with a beautiful pedestial zone with numerous restaurants.

Traditional yet modern beach resort.
Traditional yet modern beach resort. Mainly visited by Italian. Great selection of beaches and places to eat. Clothes shopping is okay but not on a par with inland towns like Sienna, Lucca and Arrezzo.

A beautiful small town where you can find small traditional restaurants with very nice staff. The best local pizzeria is called BLUE MARLINE PIZZERIA RESTAURANT. I really recommend this restaurant to everyone...
in the city of San Vincenzo itself, however, we really enjoyed a restaurant called Vineria Etrusca in the center. The service, as well as the food, was very poor, we definitely do not recommend this restaurant, it was a very Italian disappointment...

A nice, lively town on the beach.
A nice, lively town on the beach. There are plenty of shops, a big coop and restaurants in San Vincenzo. And there are a number of beautiful historic towns and villages in the hills in the area often also with very good restaurants. It is easy to visit them by car. There are bus services to most of them but buses often do not run frequently. There are train services from S. Vincenzo Railway Station to Pisa and Grosseto and a some even to Rome and Florence.
San Vincenzo tends to get crowded on weekends and in the high season and then it is advisable to book tables at restaurants in advance.

San Vincenzo is a reasonable seaside town in Tuscany.
San Vincenzo is a reasonable seaside town in Tuscany. Having spent some time in the area over many years, we got to really enjoy the whole surrounding area. Beaches nearby are some of the best, a short drive south of the town being our favourite. Great for kids with nice sandy beaches, shower/toilet facilities, life guards in summer and generally small or no waves. Some great restaurants and of course wonderful wine and oil country surround. Also nice is this town somewhat lives all year unlike some parts of the Tuscan coast, so visiting out of the main season you won't find a closed town.
Perfect location, almost on the beach. Our room had a lovely balcony with a view of the sea.
Room was decorated in blue and white..appropriate for where it was.
Breakfast was very good, and a vast choice . Staff lovely and friendly.
Garden area with nice seating in the shade. Only a 15 min walk into the centre for shops and cafes and marina.. sunbeds and umbrellas were free to use too....great
For us, everything was perfect.
The house is well situated almost right next to the beach. The atmosphere inside the casa offers a probe into authentic Italian culture. The view of a sundown from the balcony is just breathtaking, especially while drinking your favorite beverages with your friends. Do you want to spend time by the beach ? Rent this house. Great variety at breakfast, the pool and hot-tub are really nice touches and the location is perfect for getting into town and visiting the best beach in Tuscany (literally 500m away from the hotel). However, the staff are the best thing about the Santa Cecilia, friendly, compassionate and dedicated, without being intrusive. Grazie Mille Valentina and the team - we will be back!
Lovely breakfast with a good selection of different local specialities to try. Particularly liked the Blue Honey.
Staff very friendly and keen to give recommendations. Breakfast could be eaten inside or in the garden. Short walk to the private beach run by the hotel. Although the hotel did not have dedicated parking there were plenty of spaces available in the road.
This is a truly special place where you can see that every detail has been considered. I could write paragraphs gushing about the suites, the on-site restaurants, the exceptional staff, (who helped us secure a very private nature suite when we mentioned it was our honeymoon). Make sure to spend some time just enjoying the property and amenities.
Nice location near the beach in a green, residential area with old trees. The hotel is very clean, has good beds, a beautiful breakfast terrace and a lovely garden with a small pool. The hotel has its own private beach area which can be reached on foot in two minutes. The beach is very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast good.
The Villa had an in store, swimming pool, it was right on the beach andit was within walking distance of multiple restaurants. We loved everything about this Villa. It was very comfortable for the 12 of us. Nine adults and three children.
It was very close to the train station that we used frequently as well.
Il Pino is a bit of a quirky hotel, but very nice nonetheless. There’s a few buildings, connected with a footbridge. Staff are friendly, well spoken in English too. Rooms are clean, even had a balcony. Close to the beach as well. I think this could be a great place during the summer!
Gioia is an amazing host, always helpful to point us to good restaurants, helping with reservation. Being guests at the Happy Days villa has perks too, as Gioia knows everyone and her guests are given discounts. If you plan to stay in San Vincenzo, you should definitely stay here.
The private beach was amazing and better than anticipated. Such a lovely outdoor space. The breakfast was very good and they had gluten free options. The staff was very friendly and we had a lovely stay. Can't wait to return!
The hotel is located not far from the railway station, so we walked to it.
Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. Dedicated and kind staff, affordable price and we really liked the breakfast.
Beautiful, clean boutique hotel. In a residential neighborhood with easy free parking. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was very clean and had an amazing a/c. Bountiful breakfast.
The place is large, bedroom and kitchen clean and comfortable, kitchen is well equiped. The place was very clean, the owner Anna came across as a warm woman. Great place to enjoy San Vincenzo!
