Het hotel is knus en zeer luxe, de uitstraling klassiek chique, met een moderne touch. In eerste instantie kregen wij een kamer op niveau -1 naast de keuken. Dat viel een beetje tegen omdat er aardig wat rumoer uit de keuken kwam en we geen uitzicht naar buiten hadden. Na hier bij de receptie een opmerking over gemaakt te hebben werd ons toegezegd dat we de volgende dag een nieuwe kamer zouden krijgen. De volgende dag zijn wij de stad in gegaan en toen we terug kwamen waren al onze spullen verhuist naar onze nieuwe luxe kamer met een prachtig dakterras. Erg aangenaam! Verder perfect ontbijt, zeer goede service en bereidwilligheid om te helpen en adviseren. Voor de liefhebbers... Mooie auto's onder het hotel!! Het hotel was verder van het centrum dan wij gedacht hadden en het openbaar vervoer naar het centrum is niet optimaal. Dat was toch minimaal 35 min. reizen. Uiteindelijk ontdekten wij dat het slimste is om de ponte milvio (brug) te voet over te steken om vervolgens met bus 2 (onderweg één keer overstappen op volgende bus 2) naar de metro (Halte Flaminio) te reizen. De terugreis naar het hotel hebben wij vaak met de taxi gedaan. |
