The highlight of Hotel Palace is its location, in the heart of the historic center of Bologna, a 5-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore.

The location was excellent for easy access to the historic city centre. The single room was delightful and well organised.
The Wifi was needlessly difficult to access and only worked towards the door and not towards the window.
I really liked the location of this hotel. It is a few short steps away from the centre of Bologna's shopping/restaurant district and Piazza Maggiore. Bedroom and Bathroom spotless. Breakfast plentiful and very tasty. Hotel also has a very good restaurant where I had two wonderful dinners. Friendly staff. Looking forward to a return trip to Bologna, it's a fabulous city
Liked everything really. The noise of bin-men woke me at about 6.30am one morning, but that was the only negative!
The wi fi connection does not work. This is a real pity.
Location car parking and general leisurely ambiance
Very clean, comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. breakfast was excellent and the restaurant offers delicious traditional Bolognese dishes for dinner.
Wifi was not easy to use.
Location was excellent. Right in the heart of Bologna.
It was quite warm when we were there even though it was October but the air conditioning had been turned off. They obviously did not care about their guests comfort.
brilliant location lovely spacious room with balcony
no tea making facilities
Beds too hard Pillows too hard Poor choice at breakfast Waiters did not reset tables Waiters did not concentrate on breakfast needs, too busy preparing lunch tables Their idea of bacon and egg was a joke.
Staff service- friendly, helpful, informed, multi- lingual. Excellent restaurant on site - food quality and range, affordability, - for breakfast and dinner. Staff are very professional. Parking is good given the hôtel is right in the middle of historic Bologna
Room décor is a bit quirky. Wifi only worked in thé restaurant and lobby. There should really be at least one English-speaking TV channel among the 40 shopping channels
Public spaces restaurant -excellentlocation-helpful staff
Small bathroom, only a tub with no enclosure for a shower

There was absolutely no wifi in the room despite the hotel profile. We went with the pricier hotel for the internet access and were extremely disappointed with none in the room. Hotel staff said our room was too far to get access but did not offer another room. There was only access in the lobby.
This hotel is a little gem in the centre of Bologna just a few paces away from the main square all pedestrianised save for buses taxis u can walk to everything from here. Tip.. if your going to florence for day give yourself plenty of time of on arriving at train station in Bologna as it takes minimun 10 mins to get to platform for florence. Overall I was delighted with my visit to Bologna
For value for money I cannot find any faults with this hotel.
Location, nice lobby and access to the balcony. Breakfast Ok
A few problems in the bathroom which remained unsolved
Hotel Roma was excellent and at your call with anything you needed! A great home feeling in the best location for touring, sites, lots of cafe's and shopping and the town information center. Also very convenient to bus and train stations. It is literally right in the midst of town and we could come and go all day with ease. Wifi was weak in our room but great in the lobby which is where we would hang out in the evening and enjoy the company of others we met there. Would stay there again and again!!
Right in the Center of Bologna. Free use of bicycles from the hotel.
The hotel is located within seconds of the Piazza Maggiore and yet manages to provide a quiet refuge the minute you step through its doors. My room was small but spotlessly clean, the air conditioner and the tv worked impeccably, and there was a reasonably priced minibar for those late night munchies. So far so good, but the best thing about this hotel was its staff, from the lady who cleans the rooms and who found me a soft pillow within minutes of my asking, to the barman-turned-breakfast waiter who served great coffee with grace and panache, to Gabriele at reception who consistently exceeded any and every reasonable expectation that one might have of a front desk manager and then some. I would definitely return to this hotel if I were togo toBologna again.
The owners need to get a less unwieldy wifi system than the one they have. It works ok once it's up and running and it's free but you keep having to renew the code which is a royal pain if you're staying for a few days.
It was a great place, very good value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding.
the bed and pillows were not so comfortable
The location is a real plus. Rooms are good. Service is high-quality
The location and everything about the hotel was outstanding. The restaurant was truly exceptional, and its staff was great. The breakfast was one of the best that we've had in Italy. Dinners were unbelievable.
Location is amazing. Just a stroll away from Piazza Maggiore. The free bikes to use is lovely.
The shower is tiny. the wifi doesn't work inside rooms. the breakfast is mediocre.
Great location in centre of Bologna. Stylish 'olde' feeling of hotel.
When they booked us a taxi it turned out not to be a normal taxi but rather a 'private limousine' which cost much more. We just wanted a taxi.
