The street noise was a bit loud at night at times, but the room has a fan and AC so that helped.
Just a side note depending on your tastes. Some of the furnishings are a bit older, which we actually liked as the hotel has a charm about it.
We loved the harbor view from our room! Seeing the boats and coastline every day was amazing. The room and bathroom were very clean. The people who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The manager speaks some English so that was also helpful and the tourist information desk is just around the corner.
The hotel has a rooftop patio with a great view and lounge chairs if you want to relax.
The breakfast is delicious with ham, prosciutto, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cheese, pastries, etc.
The hotel is also an easy 5 minute walk to the beach along the pier. The beach was great!
If you took the train to Grosseto, then take the (blue) bus from the train station to the Casiglione D P bus stop. This bus stop is a two minute walk to the hotel so that is really convenient. Ask the tourist information desk which bus stop to go to when you return to Grosseto as it is a different one, but also close.
A fantastic island to visit by boat is Giglio. It has amazing scenery and snorkelling. You can catch one of the boats from the pier (book a day ahead).
