Park Hotel Villaferrata is in a 2-acre park on the hills of the Castelli Romani area. All rooms have air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a balcony.
Score from 315 reviews Very good
Centrally located in Castelli Romani, in downtown Frascati, the hotel is surrounded by Ville Tuscolane and a beautiful landscape of Roman hills; the ideal position for a relaxing Mediterranean...
Score from 94 reviews Excellent
Situated close to Rome's GRA beltway and Ciampino Train Station, the CiampinoHotel offers free parking, and grounds with outdoor swimming pool. The rooms feature simple, linear decorations.
Score from 2091 reviews Good
An outdoor pool and elegant restaurant are on offer at Villa Mercede, set on the slopes of the Castelli Romani area.
Score from 477 reviews Very good
-- close to the University -- silent and clean -- very moderate price (49 EUR per night + breakfast) -- hospitable staff
-- sometimes I saw a number of small ants on the table -- there is no light over the table
The service, cleanliness, very nice personnel, bus schuttle.
wi-fi poor, location difficult to reach with public transport.
Comfortable and clean room at reasonable price. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Room next to the kitchen is a bit noisy early morning. Hotel is not too easy to find if you are not on the A1. Would recommend to put a larger sign pointing to the "back entrance".
Excellent price/quality ratio, especially considering the overall good quality.
Price; Proximity to highway (convenient location if you pass through Rome); Good WI-FI; Flexible check-out time
Unhelpful staff (except for the waiter); Very poor facilities (basically everything was broken in the bathroom: loose toilet seat, clogged bathtub, hardly functioning tap); Worst breakfast of our whole trip in Italy; All in all a depressing experience
Everything except narrow beds!
Beds too narrow for old fat git!
Clean and comfortable
very difficult to find if not using the autostada
Lovely comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff took great care to make sure that all your needs were met. Excellent Breakfast.
Others have talked about the hotel being difficult to find. I provide this information for getting to the hotel. It's worth following to get to the front of the hotel and have the best access to the A1 freeway/autostrada. From the South, going North, get off the A1 at the Frascati Est Servico/Autogrille. From the North going South, get off the A1 at the Monte Porzio Catone Exit and get back on the A1 going North, then get off the A1 at the Frascati Est Servico/Autogrille (it's worth the extra E.70 that you have to pay). Once you are in the Autogrille, follow the signs to Hotel Roma Sud which can be reached directly from the Servico/Autogrille. If you decide not to follow the above instructions and are coming from the North, GPS took us to a place that doesn't appear to be the hotel. Actually, it is the back and there is a gate in the fence where you can push the call button and get in.
The rooms were clean and the female staff members were very friendly. The male working during the day was also very friendly.
The shuttle is not reliable at all. We had to get a taxi in and it is not close to anything. It cost us a whopping 25 euro to get from ciampino airport to the hotel then the shuttle was never available when we needed it. It ended up costing us a huge amount of money. I suggest you get a more expensive hotel in town as it really isnàt worth the hassle. it was also not sound proof, you can hear the doors slamming and the echos of the hall. Also, at night when the lovely girls at the office said we could use their computer as we dont have phones or laptops but when we asked the male on at night he told us the internet didnt work, then in the morning he organised the shuttle which is advertised as free but just to be difficult he told us we would have to pay eight dollars. really not a great place to stay. find somewhere closer, it will be worth the money
Convenient overnight stop on return to Rome from Salerno area, before catching flight home next day from Fiumicino Airport.
Although the hotel can be easily accessed from the adjacent autostrada service area (it is at the back), Google Maps took us off the motorway and onto other roads to get there and we got lost for a while.... This is, of course, not the fault of the hotel!
Adress couldn't be find on TomTom. But with coordinates are OK.
Hotel looks quite new, very clean. Boys at the reception were very attentive and helped to solve our problems, gave some advices. We arrived late in the evening (at about 10 p. m.), were hungry, the restaurant at the hotel was closed and there are no cafes nearby, but we had possibility to buy some snack at the nearby petrol station.
GPS leads to the wrong address, before going to the hotel, find the location on google maps
The hotel is good. It's in a service station on the autostrade so if your visiting frascati, it's not for you. If you're passing through, it's fine.
Ignore your satnav. The postcode takes you to a lane at the rear. It's then a ten mile drive around frascati to the service area where the hotel is situated.
