Hotel Romana Residence  

Hotel is centrally located and its cost is reasonable. The Metro station was a short walk away - 250m and trams passed in front of the Hotel in both directions. It is basically an upmarket b&b Hotel. Our room was really a suite and was comfortable. Our "suite" had abundant storage - built in wardrobes, drawers and hanging space.The bedroom overlooked the rear garden and was quiet at night compared with the front lounge which overlooked a busy street. .Breakfast (continental style) was excellent. Room was functional but showed signs of age - wear and tear. For example the tv in the lounge was not functioning while the tv in the bedroom was operational. The mini-refrigerator door didn't close easily. There were a number of light switches which did not seem to be connected to any lights.

Rooms were very spacious.

The entire bottom floor was being remodled, and we were not made aware of that. The elevators are barely big enough for 3 people without any luggage. The room we stayed in was more like a dorm room that had been converted. The bedding was clean, but the room smelled and was not up to par for other places we have stayed in Italy for a comparable price. The hotel staff was good, though.

Excellent location. Easy walk to the Cathedral and many of the attractions for tourist. A very short walk (half a block) to the subway station. Hotel arranged for us to met at the airport and the driver brought us to the hotel, we really appreciated this after a long flight from North America. The front desk staff always pleasant and helpful regardless of the questions we had. One of the best breakfasts ever.

Its location....within a convenient walking distance of the Duomo Plaza

Receptionist who checked me in was very impersonal and unwelcoming. And the airconditioning in my room (222) was barely working, room was quite warm. Wall of the room was very dirty.

the taps in the bathroom is broken and work bad! how could it be in the 4 stars hotel? the choice of the breakfast is poor. In my point of view this was not a 4 star hotel.

Condition of room, corridors and Lifts - they give the impression of carelesness .

Very close to Crocetta metro station (around 150m) and a 10-12 minute walk to the Duomo. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast selection was adequate. Reception staff spoke a reseasonable level of English.

There have been some comments about the hotel interior needing an update - this is somewhat true, but even though the interior does look old, it is still reasonably well kept and it is does not look scruffy or worn.

Довольно милый интерьер, правда непонятно зачем сделанный кухонный уголок без единой чашки или тарелки. При этом очень френдливый персонал, который действительно помогал.

Самые плохие завтраки во всей Италии, максимум что можно было съесть - круассан с плохим кофе((((( невыносимое плдключение к вайфаю - пароль из примерно 15 символов нужно было вводить каждый раз при подключении. В общем за 125 евро можно было найти и получше)))))

It´s a perfect location. We stayed in remodel room. It was very good.
