Great location and friendly service
Location: right in the heart of Rome city center and very near to Underground station
The location and the staff. Breakfast is simple but nice.
It was really a hard job to carry your luggage to the fourth floor without an elevator.
Very difficult to locate. The shower didn't work and they insisted on cash payment.
The comments in the good section were the good things.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. They clean the rooms every day. The b&b is located close to Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica .You have to take the metro to get to the center of Rome. The breakfast was simple, but enough for us. We took the breakfast in our room.
First we were a little bit surprised.I wouldn't call this a hotel ,it's a accommodation that they divided in some rooms. WiFi connection was free but not fast .
We had an amazing stay at this b&b with friendly owners! The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, and each morning there were fresh coffee and pastries served for breakfast. The neighbourhood was very pleasant, and it was never noisy during the evening. A great price for the quality!
The only thing that might bother some people is that the b&b is located in Vatican City, so if you want to get to the old centre of Rome you either have to take the metro for 10 minutes or walk for about 30 minutes. But since the city is so pretty we didn't mind the walk at all.
Room serviced daily, wonderful breakfast, close to the Vatican, wonderful staff, thank you Marrissmo and the lady who worked there.
Difficult to find even though we paid 20 euros each to be delivered at the door from the airport. First, the driver went to a different hotel with a similar name. Bronze plaque very difficult to see in the dark when the building looks like an apartment block. We realised that we couldn't check in after 8pm without notifying the staff. We took two hours to get through Italian passport control.
Great location for visiting Vatican - just across the road! Easy access to metro, bus and trams for reaching other parts of Rome and good local amenities. Warm, friendly welcome from owner and plenty of helpful "tourist information" available in property to browse.
Often large groups of folk standing around outside enjoying the ice-cream from the local shop right outside the property!
Right next to Vatican, close to metro, close to ice cream, very clean, safe, air conditioning and fridge working well, good breakfast included.
Breakfast is just outside the room, so from 7:30 you will be awoken by other guests. We broke some extremely weak and too easy to break glass by accident as the bathroom is so small in bathroom and we were charged for this, but it was a fair price.. Just not nice to pay after already paying for hotel for a few days..
Being just around the corner from the entrance to the Vatican Museums and less than a 5 minute walk to St Peter's Square, the B&B is perfectly located for visiting the Vatican City. With Ottoviano Metro Station just a 5 minute walk in the other direction, it is well located to explore the rest of the city.
The only negative comment that I have is that the breakfast selection seemed a bit limited. Apart from tea/ coffee and the usual juices, the only food on offer was eggs, cereal with UHT milk and breads, croissants, biscuits etc. Then again, being Irish I'm used to having the option of the full Irish breakfast.
Although we stayed only for 1 night i wholeheartedly recommend Romantic Vatican Rome B&B. Despite the corny name its a great place to stay in Rome, especially if you want to visit Vatican. Massimo, the recetpionist/caretaker was really friendly and despite not so fluent english he helped us a lot during our brief stay. There was a great selection of food and drinks to prepare a delicious italian breakfast (pastry, juice and coffee for us). Room was clean, bed was super comfortable and air conditioning saved us in the summer heat. Would visit again.
Good location, very clean accomodation, lovely breakfast, excellent wifi and helpful management.
the B&B is conveniently located close to Vatican city and other major landmarks and also near Ottaviano metro station. Massimo was very friendly and helpful as we asked about how to get to places or purchase different things. We were helped to arrange the shuttle service to and from the airport at reasonable prices. Breakfast is not scant but diverse and plentiful.
what´s not to like?
The location was excellent. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend the B&B. would recommend that any guests organise a transfer from the airport through the B&B owners
The location was wonderful. You could not want for more.
The location and again the location. Near to Vatican museums and many transport links. Me and my husband have stayed in the room with the private bathroom outside. We are not so shy but It was quite strange to cross the place for breakfast while the guests from the other 2 rooms were there early morning.Anyway we knew that in advance so it was not so important. The room is clean and quite. We were all day outside exploring Rome but it was nice to come back in our small room with really comfortable bed.
The breakfast is the minus. It is better to sell only the rooms without "The breakfast". We went outside nearby to have a really Italian coffee and "panini".
Cleanliness of the room..
Very nice place to stay for your trip to Rome. We had the sleeps 4 room, worth the extra money as had nice view and good bathroom.
- location - wifi free - good breakfast - good people( willing to help you)
The gelato shop downstairs!! definitely one of the best in the city, the location was excellent and the caretaker was very friendly and helpful, would recommend without hestitation.
It was great, nothing negative!
Excellent location, very efficient and friendly service. The room we had was "real traditional Italian", pretty and confortable. It surely added to the whole experience.
All was fine for us. I would definitelly use it again and reccomend it to friends and family.
A very convenient location looking straight at vatican walls. Clean. Warm and cosy as in february. Double glazed so quiet. Over and ice cream shop which is one of the best in Rome. 2 rooms interconnecting when you book the 4 person room with bunk bed for my girls aged 10. Also decent breakfast with pastries juice eggs real coffee. Also small kitchenette with pots and pans etc kettle so good if youwant to cook to save money sometimes. Very cheap price in february. Very helpful caretaker
I loved it all. No bad points
The doorman Massimo, helped us immensely.
Massimo was a great host, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good quality, and the bed was comfortable. The location was good, so close if you want to see the Vatican and close to the train to get to other parts of the city. I would recommend Romantic Vatican Rome B&B to friends. Also be sure to eat gelato at the gelateria downstairs. It is the best gelato I have ever had and I have lived in Italy for a few years.
